How @Cheescake says, only tweakscale settings are set up for sensible parts. One or the other part with the time still corresponding settings received.

@RedParadize ever thought about using DLMS-C? This module was specially designed for landings on planets with atmosphere and includes a loading bay. Basically an unmanned variant of the BTG2. Has been around since 10/15/2016. Use the FED-HS as Heatshield and the MICRO-GABUN (2x) as engines for Duna operations. Legs from KOMPAKTLANDER was helpfull.
-
Use this for your Project plus ESLIS SSTO. IXV has only 4 RCS to stabilize the reentry.

I like this kind of cargo hatch much better.

Space Rider bigger and manned NEVER!

There are 2 alternatives: First the Launcher VEGA: Contares can build the VEGA-E with P-120C first stage (implemented), Z-40C second stage (to build, solid fuel) and VUS(MIRA) Cryogenic upper stage with RD-0146CH Engine (implemented). Second the "Space Rider": Contares can publish a tweakable Versions. Also unmanned but in maximally double size, payloads up to 0.9375m diameter would be possible.

size comparison left to right: CX-15, C-IXV, C-REX free flyer, CST-101
-
Scale it up when the part is released.
-
@Well Will be somewhat difficult with the payload. In the small 'Space Rider' fit only 0.3125m parts. Are you doing the small - satellite parts? Maybe when the Vega is finished. I love Italy but does it have to be a solid rocket? The things are so useless in Stock KSP. Edit: Ok, VEGA-C with P-120c first stage (alway done as booster for Aliyana 6), Z-23 second stage and Aestus-2 Orbital third stage can be usefull in Stock KSP.

[KSP 1.8.1] SCANsat [v19.1] -- Dev version [February 20, 2020]
hraban replied to DMagic's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
Hello DMagic, After an in-depth analysis it could be found that the problem of the 'non-closable window' only occurs with older imported games. Newly created games with newly created ScanSat objects do not produce this error. -
With the CX-15 it behaves as with fish. Some jump into the air but usually they stay in the water. Contares realizes enough things that would (today) not be possible in the real world. The CX-15 is not a shuttle, is too small for a more effective RCS system, has insufficient heat protection for orbital entry maneuvers, and remains in the aircraft category.
-
Please try a lexicon of space and aviation to learn more about the X-15. In summary: The X-15 was a test device for Supersonic flights in the high atmosphere. During test flights, a peak of more than 100 km was reached. After the atmosphere over 40,000 m no longer allows aerodynamic controls, the aircraft received small control nozzles with which position corrections around axes could be carried out. A real orbital flight was never planned and was never possible with the available engines, propellants and auxiliary tanks. This is exactly the case with the CX-15 for the cuddly kerbals, although with some exercise an orbital flight would actually be possible. However without return possibility! A docking port is absolutely superfluous especially since I would not know where this should be placed. The CX-15 is a large tank that provides just enough space for the pilot with an rescue seat.

Then do it! First WIP here Contares CX-15

Continue work from workbench: @_Krieger_ retractable skids! RCS, placeholder 'IVA'

Then work a little more on your German so that you have a lot of fun in the Christmas season.
-
Thanks but you better stay with the english language in the forum Please note that certain TAC-LS modules, such as water purifiers and filter systems, are an integral part of Contares parts configurations.
-
Do not let it stop writing a USI-LS script that all parts affected by TAC-LS are concerned. If it is good and no errors are generated I will gladly take it into the official patches directory of Contares.
-
Very basic skids including tweakscale setting are included sience Dasault Hermes is released.
-
As with the separate wings, this becomes a second step, always in the hope that the aerodynamic simulation in KSP will be better. I usually keep my fingers from gears, the stuff does not like what I want. Skids, on the other hand, are an easy task.

More from Worbench corner:
-
Nice idea. Even better if the module were added to a part, for example the control unit, and CoM / CoL / CoP of the complete construct could be moved around all axes. Would it be possible? Actually already the total CoL / CoM / CoP is already determined when the parts of KSP are put together. Now it takes a way to move the determined values on the axes. Per value three sliders. Of course, the module would have to react to load changes due to fuel consumption and so on, and restore the axis position within the mesh dimensions. Sounds like an autotrimm with default positions. If you want to implement it, I am gladly available as a tester
-
In the case of the CX-15, it is much easier to design the wings and tailpieces as independent parts, but the suboptimal airodynamic performance of KSP is a challenge for the optimal centering of gravity while maintaining the true-to-original arrangement of the lifting surfaces. For the time being it is produced as SinglePart.
