Welcome #11, lets start a soccer team
-
Today.
-
Why not install 1.2.2 on a separate location and use it only for this challenge ?
-
final rally paths: Is it ok if after finishing a stage, I quicksave and then immediately quickload? This resets the mission clock I believe. Is that a fact ? I never use quicksave so I have no idea ? If so, yes why not, but it opens more ways to cheat... As for the rally, it starts Jan 1st and ends Feb 1st so you have 4 weeks to complete all stages. Reminder: If you crash during a stage and you can't repair you have to start the whole rally again, meaning starting at stage 1. This is something I can't check when you use quicksaves. But to be honest I don't care anymore, if people feel the need to cheat go ahead and be proud of what you did.

That is a problem, but I do have the coordinates:
-
So I came up with this.... I may have a deathwish... Wow, it made the first stage, incredably stable little thing, amazed at the Juno's low fuel consumption.
-
Go to Tracking Station and see if the flag icon on top is white, if not, press it.

Getting rep is annoying. *bleep *bleep *bleep... Using it to see who will race is the only benefit for me. Should I put you on the list ? you don't have to give me a like, I just want to see who is in. Thanks, didn't see it yet
-
Just to see who will be realy entering this challenge, leave a like if you do, don't give a like if you don't. That way I can see some names. -DrunkenKerbalnaut. -hidude398 -TheEpic...wait, why am I writing these names down ?

Nice, I love how we all help each other. Happy rally ! Again great advice from DocDav, updated the challenge just now using your line.
-
@hidude398 Can you confirm if this works please ?
-
O dear, yes I'm using 1.2.2. Didn't realise the save would not work in 1.2.1. Anyone has a solution for our new problem ? Hosting this challenge is hard, pffffff, but I'm working hard, doing the best I can.
-
Awesome.
-
Sorry if it sounded a bit harsh. Although this challenge might look populair, I think only around 8 people will actually submit their times.
-
Not sure what you mean here, but the challenge will be up January 1st, that's when you can submit your time. When submitting please use the spoiler function so the 14 screenshots will not clutter the thread. ( I might open a new thread just for the results, not sure yet... Yes, this challenge is based on the real Dakar rally. Those who will "Andretti" the whole thing will be disqualified.
-
Edit: never mind.
-
When calculating your time, keep in mind a clock has 60 minutes and 60 seconds, so don't add up to 100.
-
Ok, here it is....02.01.19 (2 hours, 1 minute and 19 seconds) Now you have a time to aim for. See the spoiler for the full results.

As a host I need to prove it can be done, so after 6 horrible attempt, even once getting completely destroyed at the final stage I FINALY DID IT, stage 1 to finish with a stock solar car. Top speed 45 m/s, average speed 30 m/s. It also gives me a chance to show you how to submit your rally score, it's a pain to do so study it close. My score: 02.01.19 (2 hours, 1 minute and 19 seconds)
-
I'm still afterglowing from doing it (not that...) ! I don't feel like uploading 14 images and calculating the time just yet, it feels like work, I hate work...
-
I'm so proud, I even drove the car back home. It will be parked here forever as a monument
-
I just finished my first KD2017 ! Took me 6 attempts...and a solar panel @ stage 5... Solar, stock. top speed 45 m/s, average 30 m/s. I will upload my 14 screenshots asap, so it could be used as an example.
-
That looks soooo kool.... What mod are the wheels from ?
-
You realy are planning on doing that ? be my guest, go a head.
-
