  1. Wow.... I did not know that. But can you be more specific? Which Dr??? Old season 2 or new series, season 2?
  2. Isn't everything these days???
  3. I think your last sentence is also my biggest point. I wouldn't have a problem adding a few hundred or even a couple thousand years. But I want the option to end it when I've had enough. The thought of living millions or billions of years is terrifying.
  4. Jim To circumnavigate the Mun Wait. I know this.... it's Doo... no... it's.... Arrrrrrrgggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg............................... <splat> What's your name? What's your quest? What song am I playing in my avatar picture???? hehehehe
  5. 9/10 I've never actually been there, but I had a friend in the Army that never stopped talking about how beautiful it is.
  6. I am proud to say my Chariot has logged in her first 100 miles on the Mun! And I couldn't be happier with her performance. Even if something catastrophic were to happen and I needed to replace her, I don't think I would make any design changes. The only situation I can think of adding a new part is if something really cool comes out in 1.0.5 that I just can't live without, like a cool looking antenna or something. I'm also having way more fun than I first expected. I was afraid it might get boring after a while, but it's been anything except boring! I've already seen and driven thru such amazing landscapes, dodged huge gaping craters, and already got myself boxed in badly by cliffs and craters; only getting out by riding the edge of a harrowing cliff for about a kilometer. You can see it on the map, where I stopped going north, circled around and then headed east. I seriously thought I was doomed.... it was great! This is no longer just a challenge, it's an adventure, and I will be doing much more than just circumnavigating. Now I'm exploring! I want to see everything there is to see, even the poles, nightmare that they promise to be.
  7. Have you given any thought to first establishing a space station around Tylo? You can use Vall, Pol or Bop to mine and convert ore to fuel, then be able to refuel whatever to try to land on Tylo? This is my long term plan for dealing with Tylo's merciless gravity
  8. If you're just using B, it's only the distance to a point high over the object, not the object itself, and your burn time will be too short.
  9. Simply put, 1.0.5 is the one present we all get to open before Christmas.... lol...
  10. Oh thank the gods, I'm not the only one.... lol....
  11. While you'll have to adjust for the thin Duna atmosphere, I use Scott Manley's method of precision landing. With practice I've learned to land pretty much anywhere I want using this.
  12. Mission report: The crew continued up along the eastern rim of Northwest crater, but soon found themselves entering an area of steep cliffs, canyons and deep, dangerous craters, and they were eventually boxed in and forced to change plans. Jeb, high in orbit, confermed the only real safe way out was to turn east, so the decision was made to head east across the midlands to, ironically enough, East Crater. Satellite scans show a rich band of ore running from East Crater both north and south to the poles, and this should greatly increase our refueling efficiency. One thing of special note: While trying to maneuver out of the cliffs and craters, the crew made a facinating discovery. A huge arch of solid stone protruding from the ground! As they got close it's massive size became apparent; a dozen rovers could fit under it!!! Bob and Dr. von Kerman can't stop talking about it! East crater is aprox. 150 km from our current position across the midlands, which are fairly flat and easy to drive on. I expect to ETA in about 2 days (realtime) with no problems.
  13. Oh, we could argue which series is better all day... It just depends on the person. But I think the one thing we can all agree on is no matter what ship or crew it is, we all want awesome writing combined with killer special effects. So get it right CBS.... the Kerbins are watching you...
  14. Honestly, all kidding side, I say absolutely no. At the risk of being philosophical, I do not know with 100% certainty that everything just stops when we die. And physics argues that information cannot be destroyed... more or less and very simply put.... only changed. That being said, if there is even the slimmest of chances it doesn't just end, I don't want to miss out or mess around with what may happen next.
  15. I'll be logging a new mission report later today, but right now I have a quick question. I don't use the F3 key much, but this morning I hit it to see if I could go back and count how many times I've refueled my rover so far. But it's only giving me a report on what I did today, and nothing before I loaded the game this morning. Like I said, I don't use the F3 key much.... is this normal?
  16. Nice. How did you record the video clips???
  17. Exactly my point! Lately too many movies and series' have become all special effects, and very lazy writing... with only a couple exceptions here and there. I just hope this new series focuses a little more on the story and plot writing and less on just making the new ship pretty...
  18. But some of the writing was outstanding for what was being put out at the time. Take it from this old dude... lol. Episodes like "City on the Edge of Forever", a heart-wrenching tragic love story featuring Joan Collins, or "Doomsday Machine", which terrified me as a young boy, and featured William Windom in a staggering role as Commodore Decker, commander of a dead ship.... But one of the absolute best in terms of writing, and the impact it had at the time (again, I'm old, I was there...lol) was "Let that be your Last battlefield", featuring Frank Gorshin and Lou Antonio as the half-black half-white aliens from the planet Cheron. One of the first television shows at the time to have the guts to look racism and racists right in the face and expose them for what they really are, and what it can eventually lead to...
  19. 4/10... does the seat recline??? If so then 7/10
