1. Same here, but I only had one on here so far, you
2. Nice release OP there, awesome video and pictures as always. And a very cool craft too, of course. So sleek and simple, yet has everything you need in a lander, including RCS for docking etc. Thanks for including the LR model too! I'm looking forward to fly some Cypher missions over the weekend. Have to move around some hefty base modules, probably testing the Cypher to its limits. Let's see. Would you mind me dropping some pics in here once that new base is together? BTW, nice guest appearance of the cute little Puff Puff there! Gotta love Minmus, eh?! Thanks again Daf
3.
Today I decided that I would go ahead and delete my old career files, my old sandbox game, and all my pre 1.0.5 craft files and simply start fresh. It was hard to do at first, but in light of the number of craft files I had that had become broken (incompatible mods, mods not updated, or mods I had deleted), it actually is kind of nice to go back to the beginning after a while...
Why not keep the old install alive somewhere? On a hard drive or something if it bothers you on your PC. I know I will always keep a 1.0.4 version somewhere.
4.
Lord knows. What's even more odd is that if you rotate them through 180° they work even better.
Oh man, they should fix things like this. Or is this intentionally, for something like when you use them as tailcones? I don´t know, it just seems wrong. And yeah, an intake should never have less drag than an intake. Somebody fix this, please. The craft is nice, Foxster. Well done!
5.
Nice spacecraft there! BUT, can it has solar panels??? But as for the deep-space SSTO, can you make it so that it's strictly operational in deep space and on non-atmospheric planets and be able to return to Kerbin with two parachutes? :)
The Cypher has solar panels, they are just hidden :) As for a deep space dropship, maybe you should look at the Matador? With additional droptanks it can have all the dV you want. Daf
6.
Not meant as snark, but delta V is expressed as a velocity in metres per second (m/s), not metres per second squared (m/s^2). The latter would be an acceleration and implies that you jump from zero to orbital velocity in a single second!
Thank you. I didn't want to be the guy pointing out details like that, but it sure irked me.
7. http://imgur.com/bHeohFH Got there in the end, turned out that rock is too big for my ship. Felt pretty dumb
8. Nice one, boss. I like the cockpit and the Mk0 tanks, and the name too :) At least that cockpit should never die! Those four flames indicate quite an insane TWR, am I right? Can't wait for the test assignment. What's the biggest difference/improvement between the new Cypher to the good old Scythe then? Obviously the center bottom docking port will be very handy, but I bet there is more to it. Keep em coming! -Daf
9. Because I couldn´t find a decent left-hander stick, and that throttle lever is always at the wrong side, I ended up playing KSP with two joysticks. Works perfectly fine.
10. Good job on updating the fleet so quick! Thank you
11. That rover front cage! And yeah, That Hinge!!! When I find the time I´ll need to download it and try to figure out how you did it. Very impressive, man, you never cease to amaze me. Quite a KSP binge going on over there, eh?!
12. Felt nostalgic and pulled an older version of the Puff Puff out of the hangar. Probably one of my last 1.0.4 missions... Godspeed 1.0.4 Puff Puff
13. Okay, thank you. And what if I want the new version too? You say never ever run from Steam again, this has me confused. How about doing what you said, ie keeping a copy save in another folder, and THEN run it from steam, get the updated and save THAT file again in yet another folder. Would this give me both versions, independent from each other and independent from steam. In other words, I guess: will steam check my whole computer or just that directory it's allocated to in the first place? Thanks again
14. Okay gang, I have seen this mentioned before, people keep old copies of the game, and sometimes still play the older versions. Is this also possible through steam?? And if yes, how do I do this? How to keep multiple installs alive?? Is copying the KSP.exe file into another folder already good enough?? Or better yet the whole Kerbal Space Program folder, including CKAN and everything?? Many thanks in advance -Daf
15. Many people seem to love small crafts and landers, I'm one of them too. Maybe try to fit a Jr port to the bottom, somehow?? Would be the most intuitive place, making for easy docking to rovers and bases and such. Thanks again for sharing. Small crafts FTW!
16. hahaha, I know exactly what you are talking about!
17. Awesome little craft, I like it a lot. Clever design. Have some rep! I have to agree with ndiver, a small docking port for refueling would make it perfect.
18. Who knows, CommanderSonic? Nobody knows what updates and patches SQUAD will release in the future. For now it's pretty clear that the craft will need some work after that radial air intake part gets replaced in 1.0.5.
19. oh, you´re right I guess. and we all love that part... so yeah:sealed:
20. I never use MJ to dock, but as soon as i get a chance I will try to replicate your issue. What are you trying to dock to?? Maybe a screenshot?? Are you sure nothing get's in the way (thinking about those "tail-fins" of the matador)??
