  1. Hey guys! can't ignore you forgot this, if you have another ship around where you can see it (around 80km from you) you can just double click the vessel in the overworld to make it your target, you can use this method around planets or moons, but i won't recommend using it orbiting the sun when trying to rendezvous with a distant object, since distances around it are pretty large.
  2. He is in orbit on a spaceplane wating to return to kerbin after sending a new module for my orbital station
  3. Don't worry we all feel like that, even more when we discovered it by ourseflves and think: Oh! man i will have to launch it again! You can try to revert to the point where you can change still change your inclination, then create a maneuver at the inclination node, after that set the focus view to jool so see a preview of the inclination and the orbit. The maneuver bug happened to me too, glad you were able to fix it just by returning to the space center menu.
  4. Well i would be better, but it depends on the desing he wants for his ship and his current tech level, i would recommend using the multiple tank adapter to carry more fuel if you still want a big ship, is a shame you can use it to connect the engine to the tanks without using fuel ducts, but you can still make it work
  5. revert to a save before launching your ship if you can, and remember to remove oxidizer on the vehicle assembly before launching
  6. Starman have been used by matt lowne in this video Very nice song for ksp
  7. Well the slow time to burn is due to your TWR (Thrust-to-weight ratio), also make sure to ge rid of your oxidizer since nerv engine doesn't need it. I would recomend getting a bit higher to orbit( around 7500m or more) and make your burn from 3 or 2 minutes before the maneuver node
  8. The challenge is about landing them, at least you want to retire your space station in a nice way, i will think of a name for taht award I also have to document the capture of an asteroid so i can't call my landing an attempt, but anyway, hurrah for personal achievement! Also if someone wants to help with a banner or something for the challenge it would be nice and i would be very thankful
  9. Hey all since i just landed my first asteroid in ksp i decided to make a challenge out of it, like with ssto's is a challenge not many people had taken and since it isn't rewarded by the game it would be worth to cheer up players who made it here on the forum. (Also most of this challenges topics are pretty old or outdated so why not making a definitive one?) Already landed an asteroid? Try the extra challenges down below! Rules No gameplay mods or cheats (Informative and visual mods are ok) You should tell what mods you used in your post All parts must be stock duh! You must provide proof you captured an asteroid and landed it, either videos or screenshots containing important events like launch, maneuvers, burns, reentry and landing. For a bit of glory you can land a asteroid you already captured, but you will not be recognized for it in this topic (hurrah for personal achievement! You can use any number of vessels you need Rules (Moded clients) No cheat or autopiloting mods You should tell what mods you used in your post Do something worthy for the mods you're using (Ex: if your mods have powerful engines, land your asteroid far away from you got it, or use mod with bigger distances between planets etc) You must provide proof you captured an asteroid and landed it, either videos or screenshots containing important events like launch, maneuvers, burns, reentry and landing. For a bit of glory you can land a asteroid you already captured, but you will not be recognized for it in this post (hurrah for personal achievement!) You can use any number of vessels you need Awards: All awards will have a prefix letter for the class of your asteroid! I hope you enjoy landing an asteroid for the first time, or completing the extra challenges. See ya later!
  10. I made my entry like that in case i needed to burn a bit more to not get pass the KSC
  11. Try replacing the fuel ducts, remember both ducks have to be connected from the side tanks to the center tank, if one them is conected to from the central tank to one of the side tanks the fuel will be distributed wrongly.
  12. So i have a lot of spaceplanes made to transport payloads to LKO, so that means i've already cleared the challenge?
  13. Pretty nice concepts you have in there, they can help a lot of players to understand the mechanics of the game and how to build crafts taking them in mind
  14. As i said before i have around 3481 m/s of delta v from lko after refueling the ship (i did the math myself it could be wrong), maybe i'm going to do some fly-by to some moons, just to drop the probes in them.
  15. Hey guys, so i've made this thread since i wan't to send a shuttle directly to jool with a 87 tons payload (1 lander 4 probes and 4 kerbals and fuel) and i want to know if it's viable or if i should do some changes? i think right now it has around 3481 m7s of Dv to work from kerbin orbit (i think it isn't enough) Here is a pic of the shuttle The plan so far: I will refuel the ship once it is in orbit Use the docking ports around the ship to dock extra fuel tanks (and maybe engines) for the transfer burn, I'm considering changing the vector engines for another ones in orbit (that would requiere replace them using docking ports so i would have to change that in the VAB), also i'm thinking maybe i would be able to aerobrake due to the parts being highly heat resistant, will they do? Is it going to work like this or should i build a bigger ship to help it get into jool orbit? PD: I want to get THIS SHIP to jool, not another one, i want to try the challenge of getting a shuttle like this far away, so i'm just considering desing changes, but not replacement.
  16. Yup definitively a bug, you reports and science also say they are taken from there?
  17. Good news, after an epic maneuver using all my fuel, monopropellant and my transfer ship i was able to land my rovers with wheels at eve
  18. Landed on eve today too, to bad my rovers were aerodynamically inestable and they couldn't keep their wheels, worked as expected in gilly tho.
  19. So no one makes scenarios or i'm not at the right forum?
  20. So yesterday i got my dual rovers into orbit for sending them to eve, i'm almost done docking them with the ship which is going to help them get into eve's orbit.
