I ran a few more battles after I posted the results and found that as long as @Veeltch's W1LC2 21 didn't crash into the ground that it consistently outmaneuvered @luftein's ARSH Force One ... although it did it with such squirrely-ness that I'm surprised that thing managed to get out of some of the predicaments it was in Both were well built planes and I really enjoyed recording the battle

  5. I think it's kind of fitting seeing as in WW2 the fighters would be scrambling off the decks of their respective carriers and engaging their opponents as soon as minimum altitude is achieved ... it is a war after all, n'est pas?

  10. @tetryds - Thanks you for the clarification The second battle has been invalidated, but seeing as it didn't change the winner, I will leave it on the tube for all to watch since it was a pretty good battle

  12. Question ... Is this competition going to be done using competition mode? Reason I ask is due to competition mode changing the parameters of my design ... Whether it takes off like a screamer or if it can account for the delay in engagement created by competition mode
  13. Well seeing as the competition mode is working for me now I will do the remaining 4 fights using it I'll use 5000 as the distance and that should take care of making sure all the fighters are ready so nobody gets sucker punched

  15. Ask and it shall be done I have ran the fight again using competition mode and have finished editing and adding some music ... I'm exporting the battle now and it should be uploaded shortly This brings to question on whether competition mode should be used for all fights ... Thoughts?
  16. Well if you want I'll re-run the battle using competition mode but I'm pretty sure it won't make much of a difference I'll run some tests
  17. The module that goes into combined weapons mananger/AI pilot wasn't included in the aviator arsenal download so although it would have been a nice touch, all that happens when I try and use the competition mode is the crafts keep flying around each other and never engage

  19. The final battle of round 2 in the BAD T2 Second Tier has been uploaded to the tube There are only 4 battles left ... The two semi-final matches, the bronze medal match between the two defeated craft from the semi-finals and then the Final battle Good luck to you all
  20. I can easily build a competitive fighter with under 80 parts, even under 60 .... So I don't know what the others are talking about Probably they want it higher so they can missile and countermeasures spam which is fine but isn't dogfighting ... dogfighting is gun to gun fighting coupled against each crafts maneuverability
  21. Vessel Mover can be glitchy when spawning in vessels, this is a known issue (it even states that it is experimental) ... Best way to utilize this mod is to launch each vehicle from the VAB/SPH and then just move them using the mod If you launch and don't spawn there shouldn't be any staging issues ... at least I haven't come across this happening when doing things this way

I know many of us are experiencing crashing of KSP and I thought I'd share something that seems to help me quite a bit for Windows Open your task manager, right click on KSP and select 'go to details' (KSP has to be running in order to do this) Then right click on KSP and change the priority to 'High' This has helped keep KSP from freezing up or CTDing on me ... Hope this helps

Another Second Tier battle has been uploaded to the tube ... @SuicidalInsanity's IA-7 Brigand III B vs @pyrosheep's F-1 Cobra A There is only one more battle left for round 2 of the BAD T2 Second Tier (@Noir's Ne Fx2 D13 vs @Veeltch's W1LC2 21) which will be recorded in the next day or so, however I will be refraining from posting any more Tier 2 battles after that one in order for @tetryds to catch up
