I'm thinking they may be experimenting with using certain microorganisms as part of their life support system.

What's the oxygen reclamation method on Dragon?
-
I would assume he's talking about the Dragon spacecraft, and not the other kind of dragon, but you can never be sure with this guy. So, what could this even possibly mean? It can't possibly be a wizard hat-controlled spaceship? I don't even know how to go about speculating about this...

That does seem like it would be better, especially for some of the larger, less compressible pieces of equipment (like ISRU, fuel depots, potential tunnel boring machines, even spare rocket parts) which would inevitably need to be sent to Mars for colonization. The only disadvantage I can think of is it makes the spaceship look less like a flying space whale. (The largest blue whales are over 60% as long as the BFS, too...)

When someone next to you is talking about "black metal" and you rack your mind trying to think of which metals might be black.

Last night I dreamt there was a solar eclipse, and today the APOD is a solar eclipse. COINCIDENCE??? Definitely. Also, a few nights ago I dreamt the night sky at my house got lit up in vibrant colors by some kind of nuclear catastrophe downtown.

I suppose we'll see gradual improvements to BFR after flights, similar to Falcon 9. Initially they may not be reusable 100 or 1000 times, but as SpaceX learns the nuances of the spacecraft they will surely find ways to improve performance and reusability.

"Very small"

"Have you ever been to space before?" "yea, but only for five minutes" How much more can they charge you for that? When average people start going to orbit for longer periods of time, it will be a genuine concern.

Probably not more than you would for a typical rollercoaster.

Yes, NS passengers would get first dibs on NG tickets.

Good to see they're making absolutely sure that thing gets above 100 km. I wonder how often they'll be flying these things once they are ready for customers. There will probably be a long waiting list...

I'm sick and useless today so I started reading the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, which a friend lent me recently. So far it's quite enjoyable.

You're telling me they've developed an invisible rocket?!

I figured out how to make a piano recording that sounds decent in a setup that will surely make some recording connoisseur cringe. I won't tell you about it, I'll just let you enjoy the benefits. -
