  1. I would leave detailed pictures of just about all the scientific knowledge I can think of. Planets, dinosaurs, a depiction of a spiral galaxy with a circle around a tiny region off in one side. Atoms and molecules, maybe the double slit experiment. Four-dimensional shapes like the hypercube. The geysers on Enceladus, and the E ring which can only be seen from behind Saturn. Phobos and Deimos, the Valles Marineris. Maps of Earth in the Cambrian, and a series showing Pangaea breaking up. Pictures showing the Moon being formed after Earth is impacted by a planet.
  2. Tomorrow is my last day of high school. At that point, I will be done with step 1 of 4 in becoming a space pioneer, and I am probably at least halfway there in terms of time spent working on it.
  3. Quadruple amputee is able to get his job back thanks to advanced prosthetics.
  4. Personally, I prefer the spiderlike legs. and a theme
  5. @_Augustus_ What stacking software do you use for phone video?
  6. @NSEP Last night as I was trying to fall asleep, my brain showed me what it thought would be a more fitting creature for that face. I made sure to remember the thing and draw it out this morning: The sound it would make as you stumble upon it in the forest at night would be "UUWWOOOUUUOOOUUUUWWUUU" All three of the holes are mouths.
  7. I think Bezos just has a much more conservative style of announcing things than Musk. It's not a bad thing, and I'm sure if they are talking about the Moon it's because the people doing the math and building the rocket are fairly confident they can achieve the Moon.
  8. With a straightedge. It's the only way to be sure.
  9. I got a mount for attaching a phone to pretty much any viewing lens, so I should be able to contribute a few nice space photos. It's cloudy right now, though, so I tested it on my microscope. Here's a picture of a spider trapped in amber: The spider's body is about 2 mm long.
  10. I just hope they make Snoke more of a character whether he survived that or not, he's barely been used in the story so far.
  11. My Samsung phone is pretty nice and it's reliable, but apples taste better and are a lot healthier.
  12. I really enjoyed the movie. The characters were believable, and Han felt like a younger, more naive version of the Han we know, which is exactly what you'd expect from a younger Han. I liked the aesthetic of the lawless underside of the galaxy, especially knowing the events of the prequels. I liked seeing the still somewhat nascent Empire enforcing it's tyrannical rule and the chaos it left the people in. I like how the Falcon making the Kessel run in twelve parsecs actually makes sense as a sentence now. It feels like ordinary people trying to live their lives under the feet of giants like the Empire, which is a really cool feeling in my opinion. That said, I'm interested to know how the Rebellion started and got traction. Clearly there were many small factions fighting against the Empire from the start, but when did it turn into an organisation with leaders and X-Wings?
  13. I'd say put it on the back burner until there eventually is a need for it.
  14. Big thunderstorm coming through in a few minutes. It's very windy. and might hail.
  15. We've all heard it...there's frustratingly no working ALT code for a capital Delta on Windows. Every other Greek letter works, except for the one you and I would type consistently on this forum. We have to Google it, and copy and paste it from some website every time. But that's not true! You can make the delta symbol work with the Alt key! I found it here: https://www.reddit.com/r/windows/comments/18joaq/how_do_you_get_the_delta_symbol_on_a_windows/ Go to the Command Prompt, and enter this sequence: reg add "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Input Method" /v EnableHexNumpad /t REG_SZ /d 1 Then, log off and log back on. Open a text editor. It can even be this forum. Hold [ALT] and [NUMPAD +] and type '0394' on the keypad. Δv
  16. Wait no longer! Look at the post above! Maybe I should make a new thread for the information. revelation.

    I'm bored

Boredom leads to free thought. Free thought leads to wacky ideas. Wacky ideas are always a good thing.
