totm aug 2023 What funny/interesting thing happened in your life today?

Surely you have other, completely different interests, though. Like space games, space music, and space art? -
Except you don't want one stage's fuel to boil away while it waits for the other two to be filled.

Yesterday I was asked by a fellow musician whether I would remember him when I'm on the Moon. I told him I might, and that I would contact everyone I can when I go. -
Another one of those, then.

More like Elon Kerman.

Most Kerbal thing you have ever heard of in real life

The whole skycrane thing on Curiosity was pretty Kerbal. Actually, the bouncy bag rover landings were even more so. -
"Blue2D2"...I sense a theme here... But what is it doing?

When you tag one of your songs with "Node 3". Not just "ISS", but Node 3 specifically.

An up goer that works in space.

This is spectacular!

Looks like SES-16 and Paz are both slated for January 30.

Based on analysis of the above photo and data from @Just Jim I believe the Zuma spacecraft was launched with an inclination of about 40 degrees. The second stage may have fired again at some point, so it may be in a different, higher orbit by now. However, since Stage 1 performed a RTLS rather than landing on the barge, Zuma probably isn't incredibly far from where I projected it to be. Unless the spacecraft itself did a major burn, which can't be ruled out entirely.
-
That's a start. If you know roughly how many degrees it moved, how long it took, and at what MET we could more or less figure out it's orbital plane. I think both of us are already too far into Earth's night side to see it when it comes back around, but maybe in the coming days it will fly overhead again.
-
What's your estimate of the orbital inclination?

Some interesting views of "extra bits" on the fairings.

"Reinforced structures" on SLC-40 Gee, I wonder why...

Post pics!

I don't think SpaceX intends to make any more large Falcon rockets. They want to use Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy to fund development of BFR.
-
That's the Kerbo spirit!
-
My bad. I mixed up which boosters have the titanium grid fins. There's quite a few to keep track of, you know.
-
Good point. New second stage, 8 grid fins, maybe some landing legs...

It's 11 degrees colder than my freezer.
