Last night I dreamt a strange dream...a galaxy...some metal people...a sword...lush and barren worlds...a pity I can't remember much.
-
I don't know about the boosters but I know they're going to have a nice shot of car deployment.

Anyone else think Snoke looked like he was going to a disco party later with that shiny robe? -
Turret: "Put me down!" Me: "Sure thing bucko" [drops turret 300 feet down through portal] I'm working on ABH, so far I've gone from "bad" to "mediocre" in the past few days. I should be able to shave off a minute or two with it, maybe get sub 20. It's probably also time to get a new mouse, my current one is a dinosaur and is getting a little shaky.

When you can find your way home from outside the galaxy.

The engines are not lined up in a line, rather the four vacuum engines are arranged in a ring with the two atmospheric engines in the center, as can be seen in the picture. This arrangement leaves plenty of room for each engine. I'm not sure what more explanation would help, other than a proof that all the circles fit in that space.

Circles.

That's what we presume. I don't think they have been imaged in enough detail to verify it though.

Star Wars Episode VIII (8) the Last Jedi Discussion

I thought it was great! At least 30% as cool as the solar eclipse! Some thoughts: The leitmotif for Finn and Rose was a little weak, I think. X-Wing drifting is cool An excellent scattering of some of the oldest Star Wars jokes. I love how "Watch your language, R2" is now a real thing. It felt like Super Star Wars Odyssey. Yoda's appearance was great Snoke has very healthy-looking eyes Finally, some red dudes with useful getup There's a new syncopation in the beginning of the opening theme The use of old leitmotifs was stellar (Battle of Endor, Han and Leia, Yoda's theme, Binary Sunset, among others) Force-Skype is an interesting concept I don't really understand the part with the mirror, although it sure looks like Portal. Some good old Jizz playing in the casino I think the eye of the First Order ball droid looks like the original Death Star crater Overall, I really liked it! -
They just have to keep trying until it works...

I see. New Zealand seems to be a windy place...

No stream?

Last night I dreamt I was a passenger on an airliner, and it was pulling about 2 gees upward somehow. It was a bit uncomfortable, but not nauseating.
-
The landing for the capsule seemed really smooth, but I recall seeing in a previous launch that the capsule rocked about a lot during reentry, which would be very uncomfortable were I inside it.

I saw it! That was really hard. My eyes and knees are tired. It was close to the zenith so I had to kneel for the better part of two hours to look in the vicinity, and I basically didn't even have a chance of seeing it if I looked at anything else for about five or ten minutes. I finally spotted an unmistakable object in the right place and stared "at" it (slightly away to avoid the blind spot) for a couple of minutes and then came in to check on Stellarium whether I looked at the correct object. Turns out I did, so I've now seen an asteroid the size of a mountain from 12.9 Gm away!

I think I'll be able to find it, but I just came in to warm up and my fingers really hurt for a few minutes. I guess an hour, in 21°F, is as long as I should go. I'll go back out soon for more squinting. I saw two beautiful bright meteors sailing through the sky though!
-
The clouds are moving quickly and have some holes in them...crossing my fingers that it becomes decent in the next two hours for hunting for Phaethon and spotting a few Geminids. I'm mostly confident I could see it if it was clear between Cassiopeia and Auriga. Edit: Gaps between clouds are increasing, and I had a clear line of sight to Perseus for a minute or so...I think there's a pretty good chance they'll become sparse enough for a proper observation of the asteroid's movement soon. Edit 2: IT'S CLEAR! Better get the hell to it; it's asteroid time!

I would try to get a ticket, but I have to pay for college so I can go all the way to Mars...
-
I can see them.

In absence of a new question, I will respond to the most recent one. I can sing, but prefer to make instrumental music. TUBM can fly an airplane.

I've noticed that activity on this thread seems to increase when Don't Click This is unlocked...fascinating.

What sort of soot is on the used boosters, and what is needed to clean it off? Why can't they just rinse it off every few flights with, I don't know, a million gallons of soapy water?
