  1. Screenshots and logs would help a lot. I haven't noticed anything wrong when using both
  2. It's not that much different. The terrain textures are just 512x512 as opposed to 1024x1024. Both look good.
  3. This planet pack is still far from done being developed. Not everything is finished.
  4. Hmmm then I don't know. I would go ask in the scatterer thread. Be sure to provide your logs. Blackrack will be a much bigger help than I would I use scatterer in all of my mods and haven't noticed a memory leak like that.
  5. This is my best guess. The reason this happens is because scatterer doesn't load at the main menu. When the KSC scene shows up, the game loads scatterer so you can expect more ram to be used. The exact opposite happens when entering the tracking station or any other building, scatterer is not loaded in those scenes so you will see a drop in memory usage. Hope this helps.
  6. I need some feed back from Mac and Linux users. I THINK I figured out what was causing the strange "PINSTRIPED EFFECT" but I won't know until I hear something back from you guys. If I didn't figure it out, I'm sorry in advance but have some peace of mind that I am not just forgetting you guys. I want to figure it out as much you do. Hopefully I fixed this issue.
  7. Yeah just go into the SVE kopernicus/kerbin folder and delete the Kerbin.cfg
  8. Putting a mod on ckan is not up to the modders. It takes time, sometimes days for an update to show up in ckan. I have no control over it
  9. If you noticed there weren't any clouds in the main menu, that is just a bug of kopernicus. Just because it's not on the main menu doesn't mean it's broken in game.
  10. UPDATE 1.1.4 Updated packaging format to be more CKAN friendly The Included "READ ME FIRST" explains new install directions and includes links. Install instructions in the OP. Download Links For 1.2 version 1.1.4 @politas Can you take a look and see if this works for you? Let me know if i need to change anything.
  11. UPDATE 1.5 Updated for 1.2 New textures for some celestial bodies Better performance No more height maps or normal maps This allows for mod to be installed/uninstalled at any time without vessels being destroyed. No more floating/impossible to reach points during missions. May have fixed issues with OpenGL users (Macs and Linux) Now using built-in meshes and textures for scatter objects (better performance) DOWNLOAD
  12. It shouldn't. I'm getting ready to upload an update though. I know for a fact the new update won't kersplode anything give me an hour
  13. You are correct, but this is kerbin i dont know where else I could implement it without it looking wierd and out of place. I'll leave it there for now until I can figure out how to put it in other places. Shouldn't be too hard I just have a lot of others things in the works As far as I know this is harmless. @Waz I think said something about it earlier. Next time please put your log errors in the spoiler box You are definitely looking in the right place. Run the game for a few mins then check the same location.
  14. i am very close to releasing yet another update that will play nicer with CKAN. I will include a README in the next update that will have detailed instructions on how to install manually
  15. You can if you remove the Eve node(the planet) from my cfg and add the one from EVE (the mod) you would also need to transfer over all the textures that Eve uses in EVE and make sure they have the correct directories.
  16. Well SVE hasnt changed at all since 1.1. There are new textures, but besides that, nothing has changed so i dont know why you are seeing a drop in performance. It not just coincidence that the people having issues with SVE have AMD processors. Again, im not saying they are bad, just that something doesnt seem to play nice with them play nice with them.
  17. I looked at your player log and didnt see anything out of the ordinary. Im not too sure whats going on with your performance. The only thing i can think of, and i might be completely wrong, Is your AMD processor. Im not saying your CPU is bad just saying it might not play nice with SVE and i would have no idea how to fix that.
  18. I will need a output. Log to see what's happening. Ksp log doesn't help me all that much :/
  19. Yeah Its just a limitation of EVE unfortunately. I made the particles as small as possible and that still happens
  20. I'm pretty sure this effect is not caused by your cfg but likely the way you are saving your textures. What program are you using? And are you on Linux or a Mac by chance? If so, does changing your textures to png get rid of the "mesh"?
  21. how could you run SVE without EVE? If you can post a screenshot of your GameData folder that would help Everything looks fine in your GameData folder. Now run the game and post your logs afterward. I have no idea what is causing the performance issue. If I can take a look at your logs it might help
  22. Are those before shots? Being that close, you probably won't see much difference unless you make the value like 2E=05. Also I would suggest making the changes in game with Alt+0
