[KSP 1.6.1] Stock Visual Enhancements [v1.4.1] [20 March 2019]
Galileo replied to Galileo's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
You can but for aesthetic purposes, I wouldn't suggest it. It causes clouds in the form of a hexagon shape to follow underneath you when in orbit. Give me a min and I will hop on and tell you exactly which value needs to be changed as I cannot remember off of the top of my head -
Long live Nyan Cat!

I found that when you highlight the quoted text box, tap "insert other media" and add a direct link to a image on imgur, the image will replace the quote box. Delete the image then it's business as usual. A little long winded but it does the trick

[KSP 1.6.1] Stock Visual Enhancements [v1.4.1] [20 March 2019]
Galileo replied to Galileo's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
It shouldn't look like that at all. I have tried for the last 25 min to replicate it. Unless I make a change in the EVE GUI, I don't see any artifacting like that. If you did make a change, just enter the tracking station and exit. Should fix the issue -
Speaking of city lights have you look at why they are doubled up in orbit?

[KSP 1.6.1] Stock Visual Enhancements [v1.4.1] [20 March 2019]
Galileo replied to Galileo's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
This is because you made a change in the EVE GUI. To fix, change scenes i.e. Go to the tracking station and exit. The issue should be fixed. You cannot compare this to the 1.1.3 version as quite a bit has changed and some bugs need to be fixed with EVE in 1.2. -
[KSP 1.6.1] Stock Visual Enhancements [v1.4.1] [20 March 2019]
Galileo replied to Galileo's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I don't know if it performs better on Intel or AMD tbh and I don't know anything about AMD processors. I can't test on an AMD unfortunately. That might be a reason though. Also just for the sake of consistency, I don't develop with any mods besides what comes in SVE so when you see those fps in my pics know it's with SVE only. Part packs will lower you fps pretty significantly even if you aren't using them during a flight. Just having them in your gamedata folder will cause performance loss. So if you have a few part packs try without those and see if the performance is any better. That can at least help you narrow down where performance loss might be coming from. As for your performance with aero effects, I have no idea. Hope this helps a little I just recently sent my gtx 1070 in because it wasn't registering for some reason. So currently I am using a MSI Nvidia gtx 980 i5 4690k @ 3.5GHz 250gb SSD x 6 32gb ram Windows 10 All screenshots have been taken with the 980 btw -
[KSP 1.6.1] Stock Visual Terrain [v2.2.0] [20 March 2019]
Galileo replied to Galileo's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Only if you have any vessels on Moho Minmus tylo or gilly. They all have new heightmaps in this mod so if you switch it over to 1.2 the stock height might make your vessle float or sink. Just make a copy of your save. Try loading your game and see what happens.- 1,019 replies

I have tested the 1060 and its pretty dang good for the money. Nothing really touches the 10XX series right now in terms of bang for your buck.

In the tracking station, yes. Scatterer does not work in the tracking station. -
[KSP 1.6.1] Stock Visual Enhancements [v1.4.1] [20 March 2019]
Galileo replied to Galileo's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Adding volume to the auroras is easy but until waz looks into optimizing the performance of volumetric clouds, I'm going to avoid it. -
[KSP 1.6.1] Stock Visual Enhancements [v1.4.1] [20 March 2019]
Galileo replied to Galileo's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Well auroras are at least glowing on the dark side now. Also, just be cognizant of the fact that astronomer is back and is working on a new visual pack -
[KSP 1.6.1] Stock Visual Enhancements [v1.4.1] [20 March 2019]
Galileo replied to Galileo's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I would ask @Waz or go ask on the quick start thread. I'm strictly cfgs and textures lol but man I wish I knew how to do the cool stuff real modder do. -
This mod does not replace any textures on its own. What you would have to do is design one yourself by using a template, or ask someone with the knowledge to make you one. Or just find a pack that has a suit you like and set that suit as the default in the texture replacer gui

Waz is not in charge of the ckan download. You need to go ask this at the ckan thread instead

Performance is as good as its going to get. As for reducing solar panel output, that's not something I can not do. -
@Red Iron Crown if you could lock this thread that would be great. Im no longer going to work on this

[KSP 1.6.1] Stock Visual Enhancements [v1.4.1] [20 March 2019]
Galileo replied to Galileo's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Oh well that makes sense. I haven't updated the README in a while and haven't included a change log on GitHub in a long time either. I guess I can do that next time -
It's caused by module manager because its a prerelease version. Until sarbian updates module manager to a full release you will have the cyan cat. It's not scary at all and doesn't harm anything. It's just a reminder that module manager isn't fully released for 1.2 yet

[KSP 1.6.1] Stock Visual Enhancements [v1.4.1] [20 March 2019]
Galileo replied to Galileo's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
i would have to assume so. That would be the logical explanation, Just get rid of quick start and see if the problem persists. I would also post that on the quick start thread
