That's a really nice plane, although the Millenium is 35mm irl and not 30. What bugs me is that an interceptor would be ridiculously easily able to shoot it down, considering its size and low altitude.

Yes, a bit cheesy. Part of the reason I'm not doing limitless air competitions no more. So, if I understand, it's off to ASC-II 1.1 when GDJ's plane finishes his run?

Fun thing is that the F-2 could beat the SW2 before. I guess I also ran out of luck with the laser pack winning.

Well, we have 2 possibilities: -Twin 50 cal turrets (Same as the ones in the B-52A) -Single Vulcan turret angled to cover more ground Both paired with a radome.

What do you think about this then? -1.25 cockpits can only carry two .50s, 2 Vulcans or a single GAU-8 -Mk2 cockpits can carry two Vulcans turrets or two GAU-8s -Mk3 cockpits can carry three GAU-8s, 4 Vulcan turrets or a single laser in the nose

Laser turrets are fine, but not when spammed. Maybe limit the loadout to X number of turrets?

Strange, sometimes the F-2 doesn't fire when the Solarius does. Guess it's back to missiles and lasers together. I guess this will be the hard counter: -6 AMRAAMS at 6M/T -AMRAAMS fire outside of laser range and make Sols go into evasive maneuvers -Laser plane moves in to overheat evading Sol

That would be very fun, and good for us conventional builders. I think the AMS is probably the culmination of unconventional I can put out.

I'm probably leaving after the final F-2 too. The current KOTH meta is based on spam rather than anything else, so I think I'll stick to the military thread.

I'm submitting a craft to fight alongside the F-2, @inigma: the F-2D AMS. The pair has been tested against the Vulca, and they beat both with the OP lasers. They sometimes die of a stray AIM-120 after tho

I've done some flights in 1.1, and BDA's pre-release works fine. It's more about other mods like landing gears.

Are we still playing in 1.05 or did we switch to 1.1? Some parts don't work in the new update.

Is it me or none of the craft were maneuverable enough to dodge AMRAAMS alone? Also, 1.1 is awesome! So much less lag now.

So, I think we've got a good definition of meta now: -AIM-120 spam -Lasers/turret spam -Lifting surfaces spam -Clipping in some cases -Maneuverability to the point ECM is almost useless
