  1. So I have designed a really maneuverable aircraft that I need to put some ramjet/pulsejet engines that are powerful into. I will await further development.
  2. I am adding the Lane3 modification, which is the most maneuverable, I made a video on it, and I will be putting the album together shortly.
  3. This is my first creation Here is the final version, - - - Updated - - - Both aircraft have "Supermaneuverability"
  4. Lane2 video is done, I couldn't find any good recording software that was free.... so yeah..
  5. Pictures on that aircraft are quite misleading, the most conventional design looked like this: http://www.unicraft.biz/germ/me1079-13/art-1.jpg
  6. I will try, I am re-doing the wing design to start work on the Lane2. - - - Updated - - - Lane2 is done, will be making a video of it soon.
  7. I'm working on a ramjet engine design, but I need a better cockpit to work with... making a Skoda Kauba by the way... - - - Updated - - - You may want to re-name your mod to something that represents all of the engines... or something to do with them like: Last ditch effort, a collection of .... Germany's best engine and aircraft designs Pagan_Scorpions collection of unique German jet propulsion
  8. I didn't think it was, I was just gonna let you know... The next thing I would model if I was you, was the different Sanger, and Lorin ramjets, You have the Lorin done, now the Sanger is left, as well as the other models.
  9. So, the Porsche 109-005 engine is actually just a really bad copy of the Jumo 004, by the Porsche company, before they gave up on designing aircraft. It was never really built, and if it was, it would looks, and perform like a Jumo 004.
  10. I built the exact Me-262 design you have, and flew it with 1.0.5's "Juno" engines, and it has the same top speed, and climb rate of the real Me-262...... or at least VERY similar. I am using FAR by the way... KSP: Mach 0.729 (level flight) Mach 0.832 (Dive) Real: Mach 0.728 (Level flight) Mach 0.835 (Dive) - - - Updated - - - Awesome! I will test! Since the last Me-262 was that accurate, I will see how fast this one is... Me-262 Lorin: Level flight top speed: 346.3 m/s Mach 0.976 Dive flight top speed: 513 m/s Mach 1.495 Its wings ripped right after, so I assume that is what you wanted.... Its safe turning speed is mach 1.1 Top speed at about 8 kilometers up: http://imgur.com/mI0ooWS
  11. The top speed of the Me-262's wing could handle 1312 km/h speed, so I assume it's top speed would be 200 km/h or more below that, just to keep the airframe safe. The pilot would throttle down the engines to prevent overspeeding. I used NASA's algorithm for calculating the Kn thrust, etc, as well as reading the data up in books from my Library. Like I said before, I am a human aircraft encyclopedia, so I'm here to help. - - - Updated - - - I also modified my previous post a little bit. You may want to copy it into a text file somewhere so you can remember all that data.
  12. I believe it's as good as this design can get so far...
  13. Overheat was only a problem in the higher RPM zone, so you can make it like the afterburning engine, but instead of dry, and wet mode, it is limited RPM, and unlimited RPM, the unlimited RPM lets you run the engine at a higher RPM, giving more thrust, and that causes overheating, where the previous limited RPM is the safe zone. The lorin ramjet looks like this: http://www.luft46.com/misc/skp14-2.jpg The Sanger ramjet looks like this: http://hsfeatures.com/features04/images/do217e2jb_bw.jpg The second Lorin type ramjet looks like this: http://lonewulfmodels.co.uk/images/products//646_l.jpg This is the Super Lorin ramjet: http://www.largescaleplanes.com/Photostory/JimMerrigan/FW283/2003_01_13.jpg http://cdn3.volusion.com/qh9e9.jdqv9/v/vspfiles/photos/LUFT007-4T.jpg?1446566597 These are the smaller version of the Super Lorin Ramjet: http://www.thewebfairy.com/911/missilegate/rfz/images/064.jpg Here is the Second Lorin Ramjet, mid-fuselage variant: http://modelplanes.de/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/106.jpg Here are blueprints for the Lorin Ramjet: http://images.fineartamerica.com/images-medium-large/german-wwii-ramjet-bomber-blueprint-detlev-van-ravenswaay.jpg http://images.fineartamerica.com/images-medium-large/german-wwii-ramjet-engine-blueprint-detlev-van-ravenswaay.jpg Thrusts for these aircraft at mach 0.6 to 0.7. Lorin Ramjet: 112 Kn Mach 0.9: 150 Kn Mach 1.5: 330 Kn Sanger Ramjet: 236 Kn Mach 0.9: 300 Kn Mach 1.5: 500 Kn (Overheats at 450 Kn, but 500 Kn is possible at altitude) Lorin Type 2: 268 Kn Mach 0.9: 315 Kn Mach 1.5: 450 Kn Super Lorin: 330 Kn Mach 0.9: 350 Kn Mach 1.5: 450 Kn Small variant super Lorin: 150 Kn Mach 0.9: 200Kn Mach 1.5: 330 Kn Mid-Fuselage Lorin Ramjet: 250 Kn Mach 0.9: 300 Kn Mach 1.5: 600 Kn Activation Speed for Ramjets: Lorin: 97 m/s Sanger: 100 m/s Lorin Type 2: 70 m/s Super Lorin: 65 m/s Small version super lorin: 20 m/s (Very low thrust until 65 m/s) Mid-fuselage Lorin: 65 m/s - - - Updated - - - I revised the speeds, and thrusts etc... - - - Updated - - - A large amount of the data gathered is at mach 0.7, although none of the Ramjets here were flown at that speed, the algorithm NASA has provided for ramjets of this type allows me to calculate the flight data.
  14. Here is the second design I made, its a larger scale bomber variant, to test large flying wings... no bomb load yet http://imgur.com/a/brIAj - - - Updated - - - Their version of a Jumo is nothing near the real design, the real design uses more fuel, but produces slightly more thrust, and the real jumo is not 0.625 meters in size. A REAL Jumo is the goal, if you know what I mean, a full 3d engine that can be put under wings, or over a fuselage.
  15. It can easily be used in KSP! That long of an engine forces people to come up with more amazing designs, so sure! Go for it!
  16. I made a tail-less research craft, and it is surprisingly stable in flight! http://imgur.com/pNUrmSI http://imgur.com/1HrIpD2 http://imgur.com/9OgR2SM http://imgur.com/QMQCHJQ http://imgur.com/UXSBlHa I guess you gotta click them all, since imgur albums hate me... Top Speed: mach 1.3 Climb rate: 73 m/s Turn time: 7 seconds A cool thing about it, it can spin like a frizbee, all the way around, and fire its engines in the opposite direction to slow down, and use its amazing stability to land nearly vertically like that... quite hard to do tho....
  17. I'm having a lot of fun with it, anyone want to see my latest creations?
  18. I understand the flight model, etc, very well, I meant game mechanics, since It is already in the center of mass, directly behind the center, but not outside of it.
  19. Thanks! -edit- It says "Javascript is disabled. View full album" -edit- all it required was a refresh, nevermind.
  20. Here it is in a picture showcase for you! I will have it in the 3d view thingy when I can get it to work! This aircraft has what is known as "Supermaneuverability" It can go mach 2, but it can also maneuver like a Bi-plane, but quicker, pulling the highest of G's with it! Any help I can get to make it faster, and more maneuverable? I can't seem to make the design any better. I have re-designed the wings and made the Lane2! Skip to 35 seconds in to skip takeoff. Lane3 redesign info: I put wings in the engine precooler behind the cockpit, to add lift, without external wings, its cheatsy, I know, but I couldn't find any other way of making the design fast, but also really maneuverable, so it works. The Lane3 is the final, and best re-design, it is unstable, but easy to control and fly, the top speed in level flight with afterburner is 934 m/s, at sea level! Skip to 1 minute 10 seconds for the most dangerous stunt.
  21. Awesome! The mid-fuselage designs will be better in 1.0.5, the Structural fuselage is now hollow, so it can fit things, like a jet engine, inside them!
  22. That might work.... It is less an explosion, more or less a controlled 2 second burst of thrust.....
  23. There is an explosion as the fuel is ignited, giving it about 950 lbs of thrust for about half a second when it is turned on, so it should instantly give thrust, and gain thrust very quickly when in flight. It is also hard to lose thrust gained, which is a good thing for pulsejets, the only real way of losing thrust is cutting the throttle, or losing speed very quickly. If it is possible, it would be cool to see that replicated in-game.
