Can someone make some parts for a russian rocket interceptor?
He_162 replied to He_162's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
No views or replies? Dang... I was expecting quicker results, but I will be patient, and see if anyone is interested. -
Jakalth goes off the DEEP end. Literally.

Nice job -
I need someone to create a couple cockpits, and some fuselage pieces, a rocket engine, and a few ramjet engines for me, anyone up for the job? Here are the engines and pictures of them that I need: RD-2M: (Rocket) Thrust: 1400 kg (14 kN), Lowest throttle setting of 9 kN, and cannot go lower unless turned off. Fuel consumption: LF: 0.734 per second, Oxidizer is 0.6 per second. Picture: http://www.walterwerke.co.uk/design/pix/A23View.bmp (It is a captured German engine, but modified slightly) DM-2 ramjet: Starts off at 15 liquid fuel units per second. Thrust at various speeds: (It can be throttled as low as 5 Kn, but no lower, and fuel consumption does not change.) Starts off at 15 liquid fuel units per second. 100 m/s: 9 Kn (Doesn't work below 100 m/s) 15 liquid fuel units per second 200 m/s: 17 Kn (Highest thrust, most efficient speed) 8 liquid fuel units per second 300 m/s: 11 Kn (Maximum thrust before thrust starts to drop rapidly) 10 liquid fuel units per second (Flamouts past 366 m/s) The engine's inside looks like this:http://www.aerospaceweb.org/question/propulsion/jet/ramjet.jpg There is a ring around the inside that holds a flame, and a 4 fuel nozzles that spray fuel ahead of the flameholder. Picture: http://www.ww2incolor.com/d/750058-2/i_153_2_f49ewi21l0088cc0w84kcww0o_ejcuplo1l0oo0sk8c40s8osc4_th DM-4 ramjet: Thrust: Starts off at 13 liquid fuel units per second (No thrust below 200 m/s, optimised for 400 m/s flight) 200 m/s: 21 Kn, 6 liquid fuel units per second 300 m/s: 32 Kn, 5 liquid fuel units per second 400 m/s: 33 Kn, 3 liquid fuel units per second 600 m/s: 23 Kn, 4 liquid fuel units per second 900 m/s: 14 Kn, 7 liquid fuel units per second 1000 m/s 12 Kn, 16 liquid fuel units per second (Flamouts past 1037 m/s) This ramjet is on top of the aircraft, the side view is identical to the top, and a small cone is in the nose section, the rear end will be a hollow hole, with basically a black end, since no light would make it inside the rear. http://internationalresinmodellers.com/yahoo_site_admin/assets/images/Tu-12LL_01.150105411_std.jpg Here is the cockpit, and fuselage types I need, make the cockpit 5.4m long, and the fuselage will be 2.9m long, the tail section will be 2.9m long, wings and rudder, along with elevators are not needed: Oh, and the picture needed to tell what is fuselage, what is tail, what is cockpit are on the lines here: http://i.imgur.com/hI6vUwH.jpg?1 http://www.unicraft.biz/on/sam52/sam52dr.jpg This is the second cockpit type I need, just make it the shape of the regular 1.250m circle, like the mk1 and mk2 cockpits, but give it this shape, and the little propeller generates power, and it starts with 10 electricity, the prop gives it 0.7 electricity per second. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/4/4e/MiG_I-270.gif If anyone can make the models, and texture them just the blank gray texture of KSP's other cockpits, with a few rivet lines etc, that would be great! These parts may be usable with the soviet rockets pack, and soviet career pack to make a more interesting start to the Soviet space program, which would be really cool. If you need any extra info, be free to ask!

Calling Hitler crazy is to give him an excuse for Genocide. He is a sadistic mass murdering pile of dog crap. That explains him better. Hitler allowed the Interceptor Me-262a1a to be deployed 2 years later when they convinced him of it, but like you said, for every 2 arado 234's, and then Hitler was too late. The Me-262a1a never the less, had no bomb carriage. Since KSP is KSP, you can do whatever you please though. -

Stock Military Aircraft! New F-105 & Dassault Mirage
He_162 replied to Zak423's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
The problem with the He-162 in KSP, is that the fuselage's are circular, and the actual ones main fuselage, and cockpit is more of an oval shape, so the circular intake of the He-162 was as big as the cockpit, but the cockpit was a little taller, and a little wider, the circular cockpit, and fuselage of your He-162, and any made in KSP, makes it look odd, and queer, compared to the real He-162. So I say, your replica is quite a good one. -

The Me-262a1a never carried bombs, only 24, or 48 rockets under the wings. -

Can I see a three view shot, front, side, top? The engine sizing is a little off, but otherwise I'd say it looks pretty exact, the wings are a little higher in the real thing, and the tail's elevators are at more of an angle upwords, only by a little teeny bit though, perhaps you could merge some fuel tanks together to make the engine seem a little larger, and then put the regular circular intake on the top to try and give it a bigger engine? Otherwise, great job, I am also working on making a stock one. -
Nah, I will do Henschel Hs. 132's as well, they are basically a Volksjager, but you lay prone in the cockpit, and the Hs132 is meant to be a dive bomber to replace the Ju-87, and by the end of the war, it was assembled by Russians, only lacking it's wings, which were stolen by the US, and the engines were widely distributed, but the Russians never installed the engine, and never got the wings, or the blueprints for it, so they scrapped it. Oh, and I will do other aircraft, but only when I find I have made this one perfect. My name is He_162, since I love this aircraft, that is also why I started with it. When I am done with every different version of it, and they are all perfect, I will put up a mod list for 1.1, and download links to them all as well, so you too can fly this around, and realize how cool this aircraft is. ^^^ I agree, however, I was prepared for criticism, I was simply surprised I did not encounter it until AFTER I had to bump it, and I am not talking about helpful criticism, I am talking about the kind of criticism people like JuanxLink give.

I will not make a pack with the Gloster Meteor, it is not German, however, I can make a pack including a Me-262, He-162, Ar-234, Ho-229, P.13a, Hs-132, Triebflugel, among hundreds of other German prototype, and experimental aircraft in world war two. This thread will continue to be bumped, and updated as soon as my mod list is updatable to 1.0.5, or 1.1, and until then more people will view it, and more peoples days will be made, there is no reason not to bump this thread once in a while, as long as it is only once per month or so, and only if it is not getting 100 views a month or so.

Nah, I will show my creation to the world, I am confident that no-one else can do this better than I have so far, and all other versions of this aircraft prove me right. Thanks for the encouragement though, I feel like you could have put your words a little nicer, the community grows every day, somebody who was looking for a good He-162 replica may have just found it today, and would have never known, think about it, a million person community, and just a few hundred people actually saw it so far, not to mention 8 billion people on the planet, most of whom could probably care less, and some of whom don't know what KSP is. I'll bump this monthly until I reach enough views to put it on the front page of google images when I type He-162 KSP into google. I do not mean to be rude if you took it that way, but I took you as rude, and I dislike that you feel the need to tell someones dream to die.

You should do a test with an aircraft that has its engine above the fuselage *cough* my name *cough*, like offset thrust test or something. -
[FAR] Can someone make a replica of the F9 Cougar?
He_162 replied to a topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
I can do it with mods, but its like 43 mods installed.... not counting any mods that don't add parts.... Dude aboves version is pretty good ^^^^ -
I respect you opinion but choose to disagree. I just figured with the steampunk look of the Rusty Star Rockets mod, some matching pulsejets would be cool. Have you looked at the picture I posted? If it's ok with the OP and you don't mind, that would be sweet.
Like I said before, it will most likely come in the form of a skin addon, not an actual part, since modeling an entire part for it would probably take a lot more time.

I found, that by making an aircraft unstable, you can actually make a really good aircraft. This aircraft is yaw, pitch, and roll unstable, yet it flies perfectly, as long as you have a control system right behind the cockpit. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JyecHKwFVII
Hang on... Where'd you put the air intake??
It is one the bottom, really hard to see, but it is visible in his last picture on the bottom right.

Nice and simple design, I like it, It looks pretty close to the real thing! Well done!
