  1. Going for the crew mission again. Need to put the engines on again, then I should be good to go. Edit: Slight delay- Point of control orientation incident, plus a lack of quicksaves. Still intend to do this tonight. At least the first part. Also, the thing that was fouling my docking port on my last turn? Turns out that was the RTG I had clipped in there. Guess I should have clipped that in from radially. Edit 2: Perhaps not. KSP is suddenly going really slow on me for some reason. Edit 3: Ok, finally mid-burn for Duna. I've clipped an RTG into the middle of the Monoprop tank from the side to replace the one from before.
  2. Sending a crew to Duna now with my shuttle. Edit: Ok, maybe not. I know I put the engines on... Looks like someone used the wrong save. Edit 2: Ok, that was annoying. Used up all my monoprop on the crew delivery shuttle trying to dock- turns out there was something docked to the node on the Duna Shuttle. Least their up there now. Also, I saw the KSS2 pass by under me during the whole process. Definite dot from 50 km with Distant Object Enhancement. Edit 3: Save is in the usual spot. I thankfully still have the craft file for the drive section on my end, so I stuck that in the VAB if someone wants to put it up and fly the mission.
  3. Of course the green ones are randomly placed from what I understand- no point in sharing your coords for those.
  4. And done! The Duna Shuttle just needs one more part, then it can be crewed up and used.
  5. Have you tried leaving the oxidizer behind? The LV-N doesn't use that.
  6. Running a turn right now- first of three components for a Duna shuttle. Holds seven, should be capable of going to Duna and back at least twice before needing refueling if flown precisely enough. Edit: And done. Simply sending something to Kerbin orbit doesn't take all that long.
  7. That seems a bit unlikely to me, but I'm not in charge. 26 Kerbals, assuming I counted the crew cabins correctly, could fit in... 16+4+4+4=28, So one Mk3 and 3 Mk2s. That's just 4 parts. That gives you one left over to work with.
  8. Ok, Save is up. That should more then make up for the two solar panels I broke. Screenshots through the links. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0Bwb7FrO1JMvySGE4VjZqV3RHZVE https://drive.google.com/open?id=0Bwb7FrO1JMvyTUJndEU4VHUwM2c https://drive.google.com/open?id=0Bwb7FrO1JMvyQ0xMWklGekRwb0E @Bottle Rocketeer 500 is up.
  9. Save is up. Unfortunately I glanced away at just the wrong moment and the Duna station is down two solar panels, but the node is on there now, giving two Sr ports, one at each end of the station, two standards, and two Jrs., the last two in pairs opposite each other. Also, I clipped 120 units of monopropellant into the 1.25-.625 adapters, but forgot to unlock them. 10. Alright. I have the Duna lab attached to the station, if still uncrewed. Lot less faffing around this time. @scottadges, That may be something you can do at some point, and It's your turn next. Save is in the usual spot.
  11. Not if it stays with the station- you'll have to put that on a service module of some kind that you can at least decouple and delete.
  12. Save is up, and I'm hoping to post a video tomorrow (Youtube got rid of its native editor for some reason). In the meantime, a quick summary of my results: The Duna Station now has it's first module, allowing it to seat up to 16 Kerbals in a Mk3 passenger cabin. The RCS blocks are residual from the docking process, but do not exceed the part limit. Additionally, I knew that an Ike station was missing, so I brought along a core on the same launch, as well as a fuel tank and engine to position it. Glad I did actually, as I needed some of the fuel from this stage to get to the Duna Station. Ike Station is in an approximately 250x250km orbit. @scottadges is up next. EDIT:
  13. Well, I'm running my turn now, as per 53miner53. Doing orbital maneuvers at Duna.
  14. Uploading the save now. @53miner53, you're going to want to prioritize getting the ship named "unless" back to the station as that has the four loose kerbals- the battery's are dead with no way to recharge them, and no way of getting there on there own save for EVA, but they do have a Clamp-o-tron Senior, so that should be useful. There is another class E asteroid about to leave kerbin SOI too, unless it's glitched into orbit, so that might be a secondary target. The KSS Relay craft has two standard size ports, so that should be recoverable as well, as should the remains of the asteroid grabber. Standards and Sr's on that one. Edit: Upload complete. Edit 2: Nothing too high quality, and it's rather long- more then two hours-, but here's the events of my turn.
  15. Well shoot. I'm closing in on the station now, but when I switched to it to check my approach, well... The Kraken attacked. Single (I think.) explosion near the asteroid, no casualties as far as I know, but a crewed section is drifting off with the asteroid. I'll see if I can get that back once I've docked on. The Relay module is really flying off on it's own though.
  16. No, he uses this one- if you pay attention to the video, you'll see him move the mouse over to the window, and the buttons subsequently change as he clicks them. One good spot to look at in his latest Galileo Conquest video is at around 3:50. You can read the name at the top of the window and everything.
  17. Couldn't find the software vs. hardware setting, but I was able to locate and set the other three- much much smoother then my last attempt. No clue if it was one of those in particular or a combination of all three that did it though... Doubt it was the frame rate though, I know I've toyed with that in the past.
  18. Thank you- that seems to have worked!
  19. Not really sure where else to put this, so If a mod or admin could tow this to the right spot if I'm guessing wrong, that would be great. Thanks. See, the thing is I'm trying to use OBS to record my Elcano attempt, but every time I try, all I get is either a still image or like a slideshow. Is there a specific way I need to set OBS up for it to cooperate with KSP, or is there another free software I can use instead that works better?
  20. I think I explain everything adequately in the videos, but I'll just put down a couple stats here. 35 Pit Stops 1 Lander/Return Vehicle Valentina Kerman and one long walk of 1,256 KM total. This will take a little while. Please don't expect daily updates. Apologizes for part one having gotten messed up. I think I must have accidentally hit my recording hotkey twice instead of once at some point.
  21. Now with solar powered guidance, 335.6 m/s. I think I lost one of the rear fins- would explain the puff of smoke I saw each run- had a hard time timing the pause.
  22. Well... Solar panels are merely suggested in the OP besides.
  23. 259.8 m/s Took this right before leaving the runway- veered off to the left. And since the actual craft is hidden by the pause menu...
