  1. This looks like fun, sort of like an entry-level DOMA challenge.
  2. Whatever you want, of course! A vegetable? Will the KSP would love to provide pints for its winners, they are regretfully informed that is not possible.
  3. @zulu354, it's a memory crash, see the pinned thread at the top of this section of remove some mods.
  4. It is. It's wonderful and... *Keep going Cadet, you have to get the tagline.* Just kidding it is wonderful. I too can fly before I can drive.
  5. Got to fly in a small plane. Pretty fun. That's me on the left (red hair).
  6. Yes and no. It only works for some experiments, i.e., EVA repots. Ask @Snark. I'm sure he has a more detailed explanation than I do.
  7. Following in the spirit of last week's challenge, I'm proud to present the next challenge: Artillery Firing! While some people like ICBMs, some like... Cannons! Your challenge, should you choose to do it, is to: Build a cannon and hit something with it. Some rules (They are omnipresent!): Your cannon must at least look a bit like a cannon (i..e, 2 big main wheels, barrel.). Your projectile must separate from the main craft, leaving the main craft intact. You must actually hit something. It need not be what you were you aiming it, in the example above, I tried to hit the VAB, but I ended up hitting the launchpad instead. The ground does not count as "something" If you want to, try to shoot down a plane or rocket or something... Extra pints if you do! Have fun!
  8. How big is your rocket? Posting a picture of it will help. You can take in-game screenshots using F1, and most people here on the forum use Imgur (just Google it). Imgur is free and does not require an account. To attach the pictures here, once they're fully uploaded, right click on the image and click "copy image address" , then just Ctrl+V it here. What he said. My hypothesis is that you have a big rocket that does not have the required amount of reaction wheels, so it can't turn, because there's not enough tourqe. Or you're out of EC.
  9. I'm not at my KSP computer right now, but here's a few things to start: A screenshot of your rocket would be really nice. You can take in-game screenshots using F1, and most people here on the forum use Imgur (just Google it). Imgur is free and does not require an account. To attach the pictures here, once they're fully uploaded, right click on the image and click "copy image address" , then just Ctrl+V it here. As for help, so you know how to get to a higher orbit? If not, here's how: Burn at PE, until your AP is where you want it. Then time warp(.) to your AP and burn there until your PE is at your desired altitude. As for mods: Yes! Two great mods are KER (Kerbal Engineer Redux) and MJ (MechJeb). Those two mods give you a readout of something called DeltaV. That, combined with the "subway map" below, should be able to help you design your rocket. The numbers these mods give you are the same as the ones listed on this map. You need to have approximately 3400m/sec to get to Low Kerbin Orbit(LKO), although in reality, it's a little more. You need about 1115 m/sec to get to KEO (stationary orbit above Kerbin), so I would pack about that much for your on-orbit stage, to have some margin. So total, I would suggest having 5115m/sec on your rocket, as given by those mods. Because I SO decreased in atmosphere, you might want a bit more. Hope this helped! Merge: Pinging @Snark, because he really likes this kind of stuff!
  10. I Am Groot!
  11. Star Trek is the one with the lightsabers, right? I loved that new Star Wars movie where they blew up the Enterprise...
  12. 10/10, why are you everywhere?!
  13. I've never been to Eeloo, but it all looks good to me! Be sure to keep us updated! @Mars-Bound Hokie
  14. If you want ICBM Chunkin', check out this challenge: Anyway, on-topic, I'm working on designing some aircraft (mainly VTOL's) and this looks like fun, so once I have a working long range jet, maybe I'll try it out.
  15. New Challenge added! From the OP: The Duna Outpost Mission Architecture Challenge. Currently in its second iteration, by @Death Engineering, this challenge challenges you to land 4 Kerbals on Duna before Year 5 Day 1, and to set up a permanent Dunatian surface presence by Year 10 Day 1, using only one lifter and a number of launches calculated by how much that lifter can lift. This requires MORE Planning as opposed to MOAR Boosters! My ( @Kerbalstar) own entry is underway!
  16. Since nobody else has entered the challenge, there is an official one-week extension, starting now!
  17. I think that that's Porkjet's part overhaul, at least the first picture, but I could be wrong.
  18. I didn't hit a building, just the general area. I don't know if that level of precision is good enough or if I need more.
  19. Cool, I see. Also, edited posts don't give me a notification... hmm...
