  1. Progress.... I finished the modeling and the animations, but the textures are a different story. The Saturn V towers are by far the most complex models I've ever made, so the textures are far beyond my capabilities. I've sent the textures to a friend so now we just wait. I'll continue working on other towers while I wait. I haven't finished much for the Saturn 1b, as there aren't many pictures to use as reference. I'll probably just do the "milk-stool" and call it done.
  2. Haha, nope..... That's what happens when I'm in a hurry to publish an update and I don't pay attention to what I'm doing.... Thanks for noticing that. I just uploaded the fix...
  3. Already did! The manual button that on other pads would retract the tower all the way now opens the claws and slightly retracts the TEL, with the full retraction occurring at liftoff.
  4. Vandenberg is a good idea. Lately I've been working on updating the FH tower at 39A based on what was seen at the first real launch with that tower, including making a copy of it for the F9 configuration. Expect to see that soon. I plan to upload an update soon, few last bug checks and should be good to go!
  5. If you'd like to focus on the ITS itself, I can work on the launch pad and tower as part of my Launch Towers Pack.
  6. Real life happened. I'll get back to working on this eventually.
  7. Tower is coming along nicely: I'm not too good with textures on complex parts, so @ym101 is working on that for me. I decided to work on the Cargo Saturn tower. It was even easier than I thought, it took only ten minutes or so.
  8. I'll loom at both BDB and RSB as far as the booster is concerned. I'll probably just make it compatible with both. SSTU looks interesting, but it doesn't have the LEM. Milk-stool was already planned, and a cargo variant should be easy.
  9. I've looked at RSB, and yes its exactly what I'm looking for as far as scale is concerned, but the problem I see is I cant find an Apollo SpaceCraft to sit on top. FASA is the only mod I've found with an Apollo SpaceCraft that is updated. If someone can point me in the direction of an Apollo Spacecraft of the right scale, I'd appreciate it.
  10. Modeling is finally done. Those Swing Arms took way too long
  11. Here's an update on the model. Today I was mostly adding details and fighting with my modeling software.
  12. Actually, change of plans.... I'll just change the tower to match the 0.64 scale of FASA.... It's easier and will save what sanity I still have left by the end of this....
  13. I've always loved the Saturn V, and I've always wanted to make a tower for, but I could never find accurate drawings.... until now. I found a site with some of the original engineering drawings, meaning clear documents with the exact dimensions. It's awesome. I can look at it and see if that'll work. I don't use RSS. When I say "real scale" I don't mean RSS. What I mean is that most mods for KSP are around 65% of their actual size, where as I prefer them to be their actual size, like in Kart's launchers pack. I'll see if the RSS recale is the right size. If so, I'll include a module manager config to rescale it. I'd love to, but unfortunately it doesn't work. Animations will move the part itself, and it's collides, but not the attachment nodes or anything attached to it. I learned that while trying to make an animated docking port like the APAS system on the shuttle, or the NDS on the upcoming Dragon V2 or CST-100.
  14. I love the FASA mod, but unfortunately it's the wrong scale. It's KSP scale instead of real scale.... All my other mods are real scale.
  15. Here's some progress on Saturn V Main Tower and pad are done. Working on adding all the swing arms, then the tail service mounts and hold down points. Next I'll work on a pad for Saturn 1b, and then lastly the "milkstool" for the Saturn 1b.
  16. I like the sound of that.... only problem is there are so many different Saturn V mods it's hard to pick one. I like to use mods that are full scale, like Kart's mods. I'll start working on something... that way I can try out different Saturn mods to see which one fits the proper dimensions.
  17. Hi guys, Sorry for the late reply, I was on vacation.... and also real life took priority. Not a bad idea, I'll look into it. Really the limiting factor is both what is possible in game, and what I know how to do. I've had plenty of ideas that either the game wont support or I don't know how to do. I believe what you're suggesting is possible, just not 100% sure how to do it. I thought about that. Maybe I'll work on that next. Yes I am getting pretty busy with real life, but I have no intention of completely abandoning my projects. I enjoy modding and it gives me something to do in my down time, even though that down time may be getting more and more rare. If it ever does get to a point where I just simply don't have any time, I will probably hand it off to someone else. For now I don't see that happening any time soon, so I won't bother worrying about it until then.
  18. I'd say that's pretty good for less than a day's work. The Atlas itself is from Kart's Launchers Pack
  19. Sorry for the delay, vacation and real life happened... Anyway, the update with the 1.0 tower is now live: http://spacedock.info/mod/626/SpaceX%20Launch%20Towers Have fun! In addition, I wanted to ask for your opinion. I originally started this mod to include the launch pads for SpaceX rockets, but how would you guys feel about expanding this mod pack to include ULA towers too? I'd start with a tower for Kart's Atlas V. I'd change the name from SpaceX Launch Towers to Launch Towers Pack. Thoughts?
  20. Did someone order a 1.0 Launch Tower?
  21. I Totally forgot about that!!!! Thank you so much for the reminder. I'll get working on that soon.
  22. Update on Progress So I've finished modeling a new ASDS. I've imported them into the game, but I'm still waiting on textures..... I've also added thrusters to help move the ASDS to water, and move it in water. So obviously I brought pictures. On the Runway Supersonic Water. Also, I found a glitch. It likes to jump for joy whenever you return to it after stepping away.
  23. I'm not suggesting to use the same arrays. The ones in that mod are for Orion, not ISS. I'm just suggesting to perhaps inquire how they were set up in blender/unity/cfg to allow them to rotate in that way. It would be a lot easier than having to use robotics parts.
