  1. Same here. I saw Enterprise while on display at the Smithsonian, and multiple times now that she's on display at Intrepid. I never get tired of visiting Enterprise, but I do think Atlantis is cooler... Three reasons: 1) she's been to space. 2) I saw her final launch. 3) The way she's displayed just looks cooler. And yes, I rever to the shuttle as a 'she'...
  2. Last time I saw a launch was February 2014, it was a Delta IV with a GPS sat. My dad and I went to KSC to visit the VAB and LC-39A, and just by luck there was a launch that night... BTW, Triston, I would take a week long vacation to the Atlantis exhibit if I could... Yeah I only like an hour and a half from Enterprise, but Atlantis is so much cooler... plus I saw Atlantis on her final flight. I'm hoping to pursue a career in Aerospace Engineering, so hopefully I'll get to see a lot more launches in the future.
  3. Holy..... i dont even have words.... that looks awesome.... I really want to live in florida now... well more than I already did...
  4. I had an idea. Since some people are impatient and keep asking when this will be released, why not release each pad separately when they are each complete, and only release the full pack when they are all done.
  5. The answer is simple, Triston has a time machine.... Or he's just magic...
  6. Great to hear that a lot people are interesting in helping to keep this running.
  7. I'm willing to help in any way possible. I already filled out the application, but the format of the app made it a bit difficult to convey things as clearly as I would like. I have experience with blender, but I am not very good with it. I am far more proficient with DS Solidworks (yes, that can be imported into Unity... Once I learn unity that is...). I have played around with cfg files in the past, and am familiar with the basics. I feel the things I would be able to bring to this team would be testing, and possibly some bug-fixes if they pertain to problems in the cfg. I'm also obsessed with the space program, so I can probably help with figuring out the details as far as techincal and historical accuracy. I apologize now if my obsession for accuracy gets annoying... Actually, let me rephrase that... When it gets annoying... I know it will. I hope I can be a help.
  8. If anyone's interested, I'm working on adding an attach node to the bottom of the soyuz core so it can properly attach to the soyuz-tower. I'll post the changes here if anyone's interested.
  9. Not what the problem was, but i fixed it. I did have old school fairings installed. I just reinstalled it and the problem went away.
  10. That was fast.... wow..... Mike, if kerbal mods were a religion, you would be one of it's saints....
  11. Hey mike, the X-37b may be "classified", but the design of its solar arrays are actually well documented:
  12. I dont know what I did wrong..... but the farrings wont decouple.....
  13. I know, but it's a workaround until the bug is fixed... Although I'm not sure about the bug because I didn't have that problem when I flew the latest version....
  14. The only node is at the front. If it decouples at the forward but not aft, my guess is part clipping is causing it to get stuck... Try doing a normal time warp if it gets stuck, the parts should float away from each other harmlessly... As long as you don't exit time warp with them inside each other... That'll cause a big explosion....
  15. I just would like them cause I've seen them in a lot of NASA footage... I'm a geek about this stuff.... - - - Updated - - - Also, the LDEF should probably be built with some sort of docking node instead of a decoupled. The LDEF was built to be launched on shuttle, left there for a few months or years, then grabbed by the next shuttle and brought home...
  16. Like this? - - - Updated - - - Yeah, there is, but a real Hubble that can attach to the related parts already in this pack would be cool.
  17. Hubble would be nice. The only other mod that has Hubble in it hasn't been updated since 0.25. - - - Updated - - - And since some of the payloads that already exist are for the Hubble Service Missions (Carrier, FSS, etc.), it would be nice to have a Hubble that works with them. - - - Updated - - - Also the IUS Rotator would be nice. The American Probes pack already has an IUS, so being able to launch it realistically would be kinda nice. - - - Updated - - - Two other good payloads would be SPACEHAB (different from Spacelab), and the Long Duration Exposure Facility. I have a shuttle poster on my wall with the LDEF, so it'd be kinda cool to have in game... The Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer would be cool too, both for Shuttle and Station. AMS-1 flew on STS-91 before AMS-2 was built for Station.
  18. I found a really good place for reference material for SLS if you're interested. Www.nasaspaceflight.com has a whole section dedicated to SLS news, and a lot of the articles have very good reference images, even some material I've never seen before, like the Orange SLS.
  19. I completely agree! That would be great! I think I've said it in the past, but i don't remember.
  20. I'm not complaining, I know that the whole thing is unfinished and is going to have bugs or not work right. I just wanted to make sure you were aware of the problem... For all I knew it I was doing something wrong...
