[KSP 1.6.1] Stock Visual Enhancements [v1.4.1] [20 March 2019]
hanhan658 replied to Galileo's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
It just doesn't work! No clouds even anywhere. Only the scatterer works though. Wait I can't paste anything in except for words, how should i post the log and screenshot now? @Galileo -
kopernicus [1.6.0] Extrasolar v1.8.0 [12/21/18]
hanhan658 replied to Andi K.'s topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
@AndrewDrawsPrettyPictures Oh no, I have all the dependencies, but only the EVE is working, not the scatter. And yes I have all the dependencies. But where should the log be? -
@Poodmund I've re-installed all the mods with a new CKAN as I deleted the history of the old CKAN due to complications. But now, I don't think the mod is even working for me even tho I have all the dependencies. And as you said 5 months ago, I should bring my log, but where is that log supposed to be?

Oh I posted that while I was on page 20. Haha ok. -
kopernicus [1.6.0] Extrasolar v1.8.0 [12/21/18]

@AndrewDrawsPrettyPictures very big problem!!! I installed Principia and the whole Vatentine system got messed up, like all the planets has gotten into a hyperbolic trajectory, is it incompatible with principia? -
@blackrack I tried to edit the atmosphere height in-game and yes, I got much more control of how high the atmosphere should be. But I'd have to Save Atmo, and under it is a box named cfg file used and in the box there's written "gamedata/scatterer/configs/planets/Laythe/atmo" on every single planet atmosphere I encounter. Why Laythe tho? Does it mean that the save is gonna take place in Laythe's config? And also I don't know what "load Atmo" means in the dialog box.
-
But the scatter effects goes all the way up to 200 km. I don't think halving it will make it more realistic, what if I set experimentalAtmoScale to 0.2 (20 km) like it's supposed to be on Earth? Because other planets has very strange values such as "1.5" or "3" that I don't know what value I'm supposed to change these to to make their atmosphere size look realistic.
-
Where is the experimentalAtmoScale supposed to be? Oh I found it, but does it mean that I have to change it in EVERY SINGLE object that has an atmosphere? Because I changed the whole thing 10 times bigger, including the Extrasolar objects and OPMs. But honestly I don't know how experimentalAtmoScale works, what does the "3" in Jool's config, "1.5" in Laythe's config, and "2" in Kerbin's config actually mean?
-
@blackrack I've been playing this with sigma dimensions, but then I found out the depth scatter effects are to the proportion of the planet's radius (~13 km : 600 km = 0.0217) , which means that if I edit Kerbin 10 times bigger in radius, the scatter is also gonna be 10 times deeper (0.0217 * 6 000 km). So the sky is blue even at 100 km altitude! Is there a config or something that controls how deep the scatter effects are so that maybe I can tweak it a bit till it looks realistic enough?
-
Super serious problem. I use Scatterer and the atmospheric scattering is increased by "resize". How can I change the atmospheric scattering alone without being outside the atmosphere and still have the scattering? Also, in tracking station, you can look through the modified object, like, I can see the part of Mun's orbit that's behind Kerbin. Is it a normal bug? In "planet specific changes" are the values the x times the original stock value or x times the custom value?

kopernicus [1.6.0] Extrasolar v1.8.0 [12/21/18]

@AndrewDrawsPrettyPictures Where do I download the extrasolar scatterer and sve/eve configs again? -
Electric charge drains extremely quick
hanhan658 replied to hanhan658's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, modded installs)
I mean, where can I find these config files so I can lower the EC consumption rate? I think using 1.00 EC/sec is too much to run a HABITAT in a passenger module for 2 kerbals. Oh, and it also drains unnormally quick on probes which don't have a life system. Maybe I can figure that out later. -

I also have OPM is it possible for me to tweak the configs and place it like 250 tiles or 1000 times further out? Btw I've already placed it 10 times further out and no there seems to be no problem with it. -

Yes exactly, I've tried to find the files that control the EC cost of life support running. But all I find is only the habitat size etc. Do someone know where these config files are, i know they must be there in order to apply. -
Electric charge drains extremely quick
hanhan658 replied to hanhan658's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, modded installs)
No, I'm only using life support system which is crucial. It still drains 0.6/sec even when the engines is on 100% thrust. -

Where can I then find that config so I can delete it. Because I don't like to strap like 1000 batteries on a plane, it's just pure inefficient. -
I don't know if it's a mod or something, but I play modded ksp with 89 mods. When I launch a plane (only a built in reaction wheel and flaps) the electric charge drains 5 units per second, and when I just move the flaps it drains 20 units per second! A satelite drains all of its electric charge when entering night side before it meets daylight again. Some thing that hasn't happened before. I have 2 suspects: 1: New update on KSP it happened when the game updated to 1.3.0 and it's pretty weird. 2: The mod Kerbalism. It also happened after I downloaded Kerbalism. But I've never trid it before 1.3.0. Do anyone have some other suspects or advise what to do?

[1.4.*] [2.5.3] (2018-04-06) UbioZur Welding Ltd. Continued
hanhan658 replied to girka2k's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
OK, I have a slight of a bug here: I've welded a structure of over 250 parts, but now the structure seems to behave strangely, it has 12 wheels, but when I launch it, it'll be spawned 12 metres above the runway, and then after easing of the physics, the car flips over and lands on its roof, so one time I managed it to get on the ground again, but then when the wheels touch the gound, it flies away at over 40 m/s! So once I tried to spawn the car upside down, and it did'nt flip, so it must be the wheels. Is it a common bug if you weld together wheels, if so do you have any plans to fix it? Oh and btw, I would know if it's possible to take away some parts from the welded structure, for otherwise I'll have to spend 5 more hours to make a copy without the parts I will remove. -
kopernicus [1.6.0] Extrasolar v1.8.0 [12/21/18]
hanhan658 replied to Andi K.'s topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Well, it turned back to the place it's supposed to be after I leaved the tracking station and gone back in. But now a persistent problem is that the Valentine gas giants has a very very low atmo pressure, and all (and I mean absolutely all) the rocky objects with atmosphere has a same atmo pressure at 0.6 atm, and even weirder is that the moon of Heba has a atmo scattering effect but no atmosphere. Is all the things I mentioned above supposed to be? -

@AndrewDrawsPrettyPicturesOh nevermind, it fixed itself. But now the sunflare lies like 4 radiuses away from the actual star. Is it a bug? -
kopernicus [1.6.0] Extrasolar v1.8.0 [12/21/18]
hanhan658 replied to Andi K.'s topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
@AndrewDrawsPrettyPictures I have downloaded all the supported mods, all versions correct and all compatible, but it won't apply on these planets, not even the configs are at the folders. Do I have to download the configs separately? -
CKAN (The Comprehensive Kerbal Archive Network); v1.28.0 - Dyson
hanhan658 replied to politas's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
My CKAN says "Cannot find *insert mod* entry in zipfile to install" in some of the mods I try to install, or saying "Too many mods provide *insert mod*" if I try to install especially SVE, EVE or DOE. I have a completely clean GameData folder, and it haven't had mods ever. So is it a problem with CKAN 1.22.4, because it has never happened in previous CKAN versions? -
This is a small suggestion for the next update of this mod: The explosions with mushroom clouds only looks realistic on the surface of Kerbin, so maybe remove the bottom of the cloud if detonated in the air, or just a big-ass explosion without cloud if detonated in space, a weaker shorter cloud on planets with thin atmospheres, and vice versa on thicker atmosphere planets?
