[WIP][1.0.2] WarpShip 0.3.2 - Update/expansion of IXS Enterprise
pheenix99 replied to Sophia's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
I was referring to the docking rings. From what you're saying, it seems that the part in and of itself is solely decorative and requires additional components to make it a functional construction site. I'm currently using all of the @RoverDude mods, so I think construction has gone from Rocket Parts to Specialized Parts and Material Kits. This in and of itself shouldn't be an issue...I'll just need to design my station accordingly. -
I'm also curious as to how to build using these dome parts. Love the idea, but if anyone has a tutorial on building with such large parts, I'd be grateful.

[WIP][1.0.2] WarpShip 0.3.2 - Update/expansion of IXS Enterprise
pheenix99 replied to Sophia's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
Are the docking rings still EPL compatible? I haven't messed with them other than viewing on the launch pad and my ship(s) is(are) too damn big to effectively launch into orbit. How did you attach the docking ring? I've only been using the mod for a couple of days and figured it was too big/bulky to launch and probably too awkward to construct/dock in orbit. -
[Closed] Quodios Kerman's Mine-To-Earn!
pheenix99 replied to Quodios Kerman's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Definitely looking forward to trying this out. I'm fiddling with design ideas for my 2nd minmus base (both landed and orbital)....perhaps I can incorporate this little fundraiser into it. -
This is partly a KSP in general question, and part BD question (mainly because I prefer the BD part over stock): Can you have 2 science labs on the same station and control which lab your science data is transferred to? Double the labs, double the scientists, double the science per day is the goal. Does the science go to closest lab, fill one then the other, how's that work?

I'll continue to enjoy 1.1.3 until my favorite mods are updated. Excited to learn more about KerbNet though.- 1,592 replies

Some of the unfinished/semi-textured parts have me both drooling and frustrated that I can't fully utilize them yet. I'm not complaining, just exceptionally anxious to explore a new type of station design. Guess I'll wait before building my SSTU Station.

Where is the config file for this part? I'd like to meddle with it a little bit but can't seem to find it

Thanks

Dumb question, but do I dump the Felbourn folder directly into GameData or the sub-folders?

Tarsier/Coatl/Blue Dog hybrid telescope. I had to upscale the Coatl/BD components to match the default size of the Tarsier part (telescope mirror). I love the Coatl probe core and how the upscaling aligned just right with the telescope mirror, but I was forced to add a BD probe core to allow for target tracking. Equipped with monopropellant thrusters with a max DV of 1100 m/s

She may look a little goofy, but it folded up nicely . This was just a quick build that I slapped together and flung into LKO (on a Blue Dog rocket). Didn't spend much/any time investigating whether or not there was any low powered thrusters I could have used. Love it so far. I prefer this kind of parts look over stock.

Now you can add me to the list I remember when I used to live in Satellite Beach in an apartment overlooking the ocean....one night there was a shuttle launch and due to its SE trajectory, it rattled our storm shutters. Awesome experience, but it doesn't compare to "Merritt Island shaking" when the Saturn V's would launch (according to my father who worked at Cape Canaveral AFS at the time).

I thing I forgot to set something because the lower stage continued to draw propellant from the upper stage & tanks. It still worked on a Munar mission and would expect it to function a little more efficiently on a mission to Minmus given the lower gravity. I might as well look at other monoprop tank options in lieu of the second stage (perhaps there's something a little more efficient that I can use. The feet of the landing legs look....off. Either way, it flew exceptionally well.
