Sent a probe to Minmus And since that worked out I sent Val, for the first landing off Kerbin in this game.

I believe that while you can have Steam not update a game, when Steam gets an update it will set the game back to update as a default. And that seems to happen once a week. This used to enrage me with Civ 4. If it is possible, I always try to move my games out of the steam folder just because of this.

I started a new science game in 1.1 and sent Jeb on a short hop over KSC to collect science from the buildings on the west side. It got dark on the fourth trip back to the capsule and Jeb forgot were he parked: And I had my first satellite orbit and return
-
After a kraken attack plus much trail and error. I was able to attach a fuel tank to my station. And sent the tanker/tug to the refining operation on Minmus.

I don't have an addiction to KSP. I just have a problem with thinking other games will be as good as KSP. I buy other games and only spend 10-15 hours on them. Then I go back to KSP.

I was using a probe to hop around Minmus to scan the surface and ran out of fuel right before I could get that last biome. So it became a rover. Probe core SAS is OP. (it did take 30 minutes to be fair)

Redocking to same docking port
N_Danger replied to Noobton's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
I got to admit I've never personally had the issue and I just remember seeing a post on it some time ago. I could be losing my memory though. -
Redocking to same docking port

I think the distance is 5 meters before the ports reset. -
Kerbin Station is placed in orbit. The first Kerbalnauts selected as crew arrive And the station is now operational.

The 2 pilots took turns taking the lander down to Duna today. Cisalla went to a canyon And Tamtine found a rock

How to fly to Duna?
N_Danger replied to JNA Space Program's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Use this to build a rocket with enough Delta-V to get there and back. Launch when Duna is in front of Kerban by about 45 deg. You can go to the tracking station to speed up time and wait for the right time to launch. Good luck -
The reason I got Mec Jeb was the all in one package thing, it having both information screens and automation functions in one mod. It does have its draw backs though that you have to account for in a craft design depending on what you use. The only MJ automation I use now is the ascent guidance, maneuver planner and the node editor. I like sitting back with a good beverage and adjusting the launch profile of a new rocket with the ascent guidance feature over and over again. I find it quite relaxing.

Trouble with radial attachments.
N_Danger replied to strider3's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Yes. you maybe able just to use one strut at top of the boosters. Try to place the booster such that the radial attachment is slightly above the center of the booster to kick the top(of the booster) away from the body of your center core. -
Went to the Duna Highlands: Hung out for a bit. Then took off back to the space station.

Never had to worry about it. In fact I'm sure at the at the KSC hiring office you hear " I don't think we have any openings right now" ( cue loud explosion) "Wait, I have just heard that we had some new opportunities become available."

Mine came from playing an MMO long ago and I kept the name for all the other games I've played. If someone were to ask me "Are you in danger?" I am always able to say "Yes, in fact I am" Given my play style for most games, it is nothing but the truth.

Pressing the F12 key while in flight will show the drag and lift forces affecting your craft. The yellow lines coming off the parts show the direction of lift and the red lines coming off the parts show the direction of drag(the longer the line the bigger the force). If the red lines are sticking out from the body you have a greater chance of the rocket flipping around the current CG in the direction of the red line. You counteract this by SAS, Fins. engine gimbal or designing the rocket differently(which is what Harry suggests, moving the CG as high up as possible).

I finally have a Scan Sat around every body of the system with the arrival of the Eeloo satellite on station(My first nuclear powered one in 1.05) I figured that since all kerbals have the same last name, that my previous failed attempts at a nuclear powered vessel will add some much needed genetic diversity to the population.

Interplanetary Mothership ideal Acceleration
N_Danger replied to Shikashi's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
For me it is the length of time I have to burn at a maneuver node. People have shown that no more than 5 minutes is best (2.5 on ether side). You can do this multiple times raising your orbit each pass. It will depend on where you are going, how massive your ship is and how long you want to deal with this process. -
No that is a lander. He just forgot to un-dock it first.
-
The light for sure. The most embarrassing missing part was an un-kerbaled rover, with all the science instruments I had researched up till that point, that landed on Duna. Without an antenna.

Wanted to go to Jool to place satellites- So I made a Jool Bus.
