  1. Over the course of versions 0.9 through 1.0 I landed everywhere you could safely and returned the Kerbals to Kerbin. Not going back to Eve back again if I can help it.
  2. Launched satellites: And sent a lander to the Mun.
  3. I started a new JNSQ game. The first thing is to launch an unmanned satellite. Then we sent Jeb up. And we then we got him back
  4. Today a probe to Tellumo was sent off to complete a contract for surface science to be transmitted. In coast mode. The insertion burn is done such that the PE is moved over the equator. But it wasn't moved far enough because we have an unplanned liquid landing. (I don't know if it is a water ocean on Tellumo) So Mission control grabs, then transmits, the airborne science and prepares to find out if the probe floats And it floats! Then the next Tellumo morning, the surface science is collected and transmitted for the contract completion.
  5. The Niven Mission crew un-docked and prepared to return to Gael. After losing the lander return capsule, it turns out there is plenty of d/v to return. The crew conducts the trans- Gael burn. And weeks later we return to Gael. All over but the landing.
  6. I sent another expedition off to Niven. Starting with the empty lander on autopilot. The lander passed by Ceti on the way out. Six days later the crew is sent off. Coast phase until a course correction. The lander arrives first. followed by the crew. Landing was of course, interesting. After arriving from the surface, the crew are now ready to return to Gael when the transfer window comes up. The d/v is looking a little sketchy even with getting the fumes off the lander and topping off the mono prop. Do we wait for a refueling mission or go for it? Hmm..
  7. I adjusted the orbit of my biome mapping satellite around Niven to a higher orbit to act as a relay satellite now that the science mission is done. Sent a copy of that satellite to Tellumo to map it's biomes. And here we see the arouras of the south pole and the rings of Tellumo
  8. A training mission was sent up. It is off to Iota first for the scientist to get experience. While they are there, they complete a worlds first. Docking with a lander left over from another mission. Then it is off to Ceti for the pilot. In orbit for just long enough to get the experience. And then the two crew members return to Gael with a new star each.
  9. A quick collect science for Iota and training mission for some new kerbals. "Oh come on, stop screaming already. We just stated and I hope you both don't keep doing this AND DON"T TOUCH THE ABORT SWITCH!" - Mission control talking the crew off the ledge. We make it to Iota without further drama. Landed got the science per contract. And returned to the SM And back to Gael And the light show is free.
  10. I sent a new type of MultiScanner satellite to Niven to map out the biomes. Fairing separation. And the transfer burn to Niven. The satellite finishes up the capture burn. And after circularizing, the scan starts. After a month or 2 we should have enough biome info to plan the next crewed Niven mission.
  11. A rescue mission was dispatched to collect 2 stranded kerbals. #1 #2 and home we go!
  12. I finished up a barebones Niven Mission. Beginning with entry of the lander. The chutes plus a touch of the rocket gets us down safely. And we land on a slope of Teflon and start sliding downhill at 4 m/s. We resorted to retracing half the landing gear and were able to carry on with the mission. And we head up to the SM for the transfer window for Gael to open up. We have a routine docking and transfer of science. Raging put chutes on the SM because it was in the mission plan. Not because the chutes were forgotten in the VAB, No Sir. Not that. After the window to Gael opens up, We depart. And finally home is in sight. 2 Minutes to entry. And happy landings were had.
  13. Time for the first kerbaled interplanetary mission to Niven. The un-crewed return module is launched first. Trans Niven burn. Then the crewed lander is them launched a day later. The Pancake. After the burn is complete. We settle into cruse mode. The first to arrive and insert into Niven orbit is the return vehicle. Followed up by the lander. Arriving literally within 20 minutes of each other. Landing day tomorrow,
  14. I sent a surface probe to Niven. Hopefully not landing on the side of a mountain like the last one. The booster gets us to AP with 100 m/s to circularize. I think working in the launch profile will get that reduced some for future flights. We ditch the transfer stage and button up for entry. And we start the EDL process. Things were going good and then I realized I had no probe control. I was out of communication. So I couldn't throttle the landing engine. It was full or no throttle and I almost timed it right. The vessel ended up on it's side. But I managed to get it upright by judicious use of SAS and the antennas. The science was collected!
  15. I went to Ceti. I have a list of things to do. Rescue a Kerbal. Fix a Satellite. Get some surface science to take back to Gale. And then head back to Gael for Snacks and Refreshing Beverages after a job well done.
  16. I sent a Data Relay satellite to Tellumo for future missions. Trans Tellumo burn. And a view from the south pole of Tellumo.
  17. I sent a mission to Niven consisting of a surface probe and a satellite to fulfill a contract. We insert into orbit then separate the two mission packages. The landing package. And the orbiter. Entry. We collect science while descending and then noticed we are landing on the slope of a mountain. It did not go well.
  18. We went back to Iota to rescue a Kerbal and to place the correct science instrument for a contract. The kerbal is collected after an embarrassing delay due to coming out of time warp without electricity. (The engineer had to get out and push the nose around) We head for one of the last biomes left unvisited, kind of a chip shot to get in the 'hole'. Important science was performed. The view of the LZ from 500 meters away. And we home go with the science.
  19. A mission was launched to Iota with a new lander and launcher for it. The crew expresses their usual enthusiasm for flight testing new hardware. And the mission ends with a morning landing.
  20. 2 Solids and a liquid core, with the burn time on the solids such that the core has a T/W of 1.5 or better at separation.
  21. I had a contact for a Geo stationary satellite, on a retrograde orbit? Well the customer's money is good. And on station.
  22. Yes it is GPP and I'm using no scaling on this one.
  23. A complex mission involving 2 rescues and a docking to complete some contracts. First up a rescue mission. Poody and Katley are the last to land.
  24. Another repair job, around Iota this time. We have a nice view for fixing stuff. And many happy returns were had.
