Fractional Reputation?
James Kerman replied to Wcmille's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Launch a manned capsule and recover it - your reputation is displayed on the last screen. -
I never recruit Kerbals, I rescue them and add them to my program however when I saw Ferkin Kerman in the astronaut complex I had to have him.
-
Serve them cold.

@ZooNamedGames - Pilots who are colour blind contributed greatly to WW2. There are also many colour blind pilots' associations in the US, the UK and Australia.

Another place you can find fuel savings is in landing. I used to be really conservative when landing and waste a lot of fuel. If you are mod friendly most of us use informational mods to determine Delta v when building our vessels. I can't really live without Kerbal Engineer Redux these days (I played without this for the first 6 months or so basically guessing how far my vessel will go - very hit and miss. KER gives you a baseline figure for how far you can go in meters per second on top of lots of other information).

Greetings Broke dead dogg. Failure in KSP is only a ticket to more adventure. The salt must be taken with some salt due to the problems with the console port.

Welcome to the forums, KerbalXcer.

BBc's Space Race (2006) is a worthwhile docu-drama about the beginnings of the USSR/USA space programs.

James Kerman replied to AstroBovice's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
This mod might help - It freezes time while you land your boosters. -
Help? I can't land my plane :(
James Kerman replied to DracoSilverpath's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
It's most likely the wheel bug, mate - it will be patched in the next update. -
Greetings CVerts and welcome to the forums.

I recruited a kerbal called Ferkin Kerman. I bet he was teased as a spore. Best generated name ever.

Unfortunately creating a laser powerful enough to tackle Kessler syndrome would most likely upset every other space going country and look a lot like a missile defence system.
-
Welcome Marzl. That sounds like a great mod.
-
Welcome to the forums, @Piearesquare. KSP Fan Works is a great place to read or post KSP stories. If you are more interested in writing non-fiction on the experience and psychology of KSP I would love to read it so I could find out why I'm so addicted to the game.

Welcome back. It's hard to kick a habit like KSP.

Help? I can't land my plane :(
James Kerman replied to DracoSilverpath's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
So I'm out of ideas, mate. Maybe one of the space plane masters can help? -
Help? I can't land my plane :(
James Kerman replied to DracoSilverpath's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Use a Cubic Octagonal Strut to space them out but attach the strut to the fuselage - it will look ugly and cause more drag but this is just a test. -
Help? I can't land my plane :(
James Kerman replied to DracoSilverpath's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Looking at your design more closely I see the landing gear is attached to the wings. This may be causing the wings to flex on landing creating the bounce. Try attaching the landing gear to the fuselage and see how that goes, mate. -
Help? I can't land my plane :(
James Kerman replied to DracoSilverpath's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
ok so with some research I found this thread: Is your landing gear clipped in any way? -
Help? I can't land my plane :(
James Kerman replied to DracoSilverpath's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Stiffening the springs may be the culprit. Another simple test would be to revert them to default and place the landing gear on your engine nacelles - a wider wheelbase may mitigate the take-off instability. -

The bouncing around sounds like the wheel bug to me - particularly if you are flaring hard before landing. As a test you could enlarge the main wings (increasing lift and drag) and see if that helps you land. Be sure to check your center of mass and center of lift in the VAB first.
