  1. You should see two options, in the separation between the first post (yours) in this thread and the first reply - sort by date and sort by votes - the forum defaults to votes. This may not be an option if you are on a mobile device (I've never logged in on my phone). When you are logged into the forum click on your username in the top right of screen and select account settings. You should see signature in the left hand menu - click on it and personalize to your liking.
  2. Under the original post on the right you have the option to sort by date (it reverts to chronological order).
  3. I found the hatch opening procedures fascinating. The professionalism and teamwork of the crew was amazing to watch and showed me a facet of ISS operations I had not seen before. Watching Oleg Kononenko take a few selfies after the first ingress/egress also brought home the human and historical aspect of this mission. Now we wait for the de-orbit and I'm really interested to see how the solar cells hold up during re-entry.
  4. The hatch to the docking adapter has been opened.
  5. Soft capture confirmed. I'd have to think so - Dragon will not have to perform all the confirmation procedures of this mission.
  6. I think it's 1hr 55mins but Dragon is supposed to perform proving maneuvers 2.5 to 1.6km out so it might be worth watching earlier. My mistake - 300 meters out now.
  7. Probably to test the life support systems over a longer timeframe and to ensure a slow approach to the ISS.
  8. Welcome to the forum, @Cylbruda. If you get stuck or need advice about the game don't hesitate to ask either here or in gameplay questions. We also have an excellent community of authors that are happy to assist your writing with good scientific advice if you need it. I just googled sci-fi lego and I'm amazed at the creativity involved. Care to share some pics of your creations? I'm sure all us rocket nerds will appreciate it.
  9. 200kg up, 150kg back down. I don't think these numbers include the mannequin.
  10. As a customer of their Western Australian stores, I highly recommend PLE, if they accept your payment method. They will build your machine to spec in store (usually 3 days) and will repair/replace warranty items far faster than going through a large chain reseller.
  11. KSP has become far more than a game about space travel. My few years as a forum member have shown me that the game is more about creativity than anything else. Some players build planes, some build trains and some build mechanical contraptions that are amazing without ever having to leave the atmosphere of Kerbin. The debug menu, making history expansion, and the hyperedit/mechjeb/interplanetary launchpad mods already allow for a player to bypass all the elements of spaceflight and I have not seen too much protest about these besides the occasional 'is it cheating' thread that invariably end in 'it's cool to play your own way'. These are already optional decisions for individual players. My personal opinion is that I would not use this feature if it were added to PC unless there were added gameplay elements a la @GregroxMun's suggestions but I would not begrudge another player from experiencing the game the way He/She sees fit. To impose limitations on someone else's game play (when I know it won't affect mine) just seems wrong to me.
  12. I really don't understand why people are getting so riled up about this feature. All the features added so far have included an option to disable them in stock settings (including the extra Kerbin launch sites) and KSP is one of the most 'play your own way' games I've come across so I don't see why any player who would choose not use the function would be so vehemently opposed to allowing others to do so.
  13. Welcome to the forum, @Reinhart Mk.1. I've been following your Eve thread and find very informative - it has generated a lot of great discussion, ideas and even a duel challenge. I've also never made it back to orbit from the purple beast so I wish you the best of luck, Mate, I hope you conquer it. I'm starting to think about giving it a go again myself.
  14. Jeff Bezos spoke at an event last night comparing New Shepard to Virgin Galactic's SpaceShipTwo.
  15. Click your username or avatar in the top right of screen to get to your profile page. Click your avatar on the top left and you should see options to modify it.
  16. Very sad news, Mate. You also have my condolences.
  17. Thanks, Mate, I was unaware of the phenomenon. This information comes from Dr Don Banfield of Cornell University in an interview with ARS.
  18. My apologies, it took me a while to understand your point but I have now amended the title to be more accurate.
  19. I have to admit that most modern films depict car crashes more realistically now but you still get the odd director that chooses this option.
  20. I think it's just the tip of the iceberg, discovery wise, considering the results come from just a 2% survey of the sky. From the same article: Galaxy cluster Abell 1314 in the constellation „Ursa Major“ in a distance of approximately 460 million light years. The LOFAR observations reveal radio emission from high-speed cosmic electrons (marked in red) resulting from collisions with other galaxy clusters. The overlay onto an optical image also shows hot X-ray gas (marked in grey) from observations with the Chandra satellite. © Amanda Wilber/LOFAR Surveys Team
  21. I can't see if you have one in the image but you will also need a direct antenna on the lander itself to connect through to the relay.
  22. I do a Duna flyby once per career save and as Starhawk mentions it's a little different to a flyby in Kerbins SOI in that it takes some maneuvering to get back home. Usually I do the flyby, set kerbin as a target and wait a full solar orbit before making a node that intercepts kerbin. This method is fairly cheap on Dv but usually means a high speed encounter so I try to plan my burn without using any prograde component (radial in/out) and try to encounter kerbin as far from solar Pe as is reasonable. Another method I have read about but not tried is to burn for Eve after the Duna encounter and use the assist to lower your solar Ap closer to kerbins orbit. Edit: I just read your reply and it seems as if you need a resonant orbit.
