It's fine if you like to use it, but the new versions are more fully featured. Fairings, for instance. And commnet. And autostrut. Also its not really compatible with what most of the community is playing.
-
@Angel-125 - Looks interesting. I'm guessing it will be standalone, right?
-
Fair point. Money is always an issue.

Build 2? One SLA and another FDM

MEEEEEE -
Clickity Click. I'm waiting for the fights to begin. A fight to be told through the ages, about the great moderators and this humble thread
-
I made, surprisingly, my first space station. Never really got round to making one before.
-
Sunny, maybe kinda warm. I don't get out much.
-
I have 3-d printers at school and do know how to use them. I'd like to make one, but I'm poor, and have no income source Personally prefer a laser cutter though. MUCH faster
-
Personally either 8 or 11. Not sure though. Some stuff I make is cool, some stuff is a kludge.
-
Finally got around to building that station. Should be commander level (Station assembled in 320x320ish orbit, landed at KSC all the time.) Caspersson station. Named after a random dude from wikipedia. Modlist: KER, TACFuel Balancer, VOID, Precise Maneuver, BetterBurnTime, Scaterrer and EVE. Other stuff installed, but not used. All parts stock.

@Spaceman17 - What version is that? Also, you know about these things called updates right?

VAB horizontal landing challenge
qzgy replied to goduranus's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
So I gave this a shot. Speed run Max speed of 1.25 km/s Landing Tonnage - 16.5 16.5*1.25 = 20.625 Note: Part clipping was used. I have two wheesleys also inside of the space where the whiplash is. Wing spamming was not done. The speed run and landing were done in two seperate launches, however, nothing was changed between those. I simply reverted back to launch -
Might be, but on that first image, I do not believe that I had wheels on that thing...
-
Ok @NISSKEPCSIM, redownloaded with the retractable wing surfaces plugin. Seems ... more broken? Timewarping led to spinning led to this And this Also noticed that the lifting force was perpendicular to the upwards drag force.
-
Aww yessss. Trying it now Ok, hmm. I notice the lift vector comes from the actual black box of the part. This means anything made with it tends to be unstable, unlike what you would expect from having a high lifting surface. Is there a way to fix that? Also, for whatever reason, sometimes the craft I make this with starts to spin uncontrollably after I've put it into turn. This might also come from the lift vector being on the little box instead of the It also seems that the lift from the paraglider comes at insanely high speeds, 50+ m/s
-
Seems pretty accurate.
-
Not an expert, but I have seen people use vernors to help make quarter panels and fenders. Trunks , I could suggest an elevon with the craft file tweaked to deploy more than usual. Azimech could really help you with this one. Or He162
-
Excuse my ignorance ('m american, so I haven't heard of this), but what exactly is the tigermeet?
-
Finished one, but Elements from the BBC is quite interesting.
-
Mind if I say something? Not a fan of your font size. Doesn't work well on large desktops.
-
Tried to start a grand tour, then realized how bad my eve ascent vehicle is. It was fine, then it flipped, and it crashed from there. Also, ladders were misplaced.

The Ultimate Challenge (Originally by Just Jim)
qzgy replied to HoloYolo's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
Think I'm gonna give this a shot. 2 Launches - 1 Eve lander/transfer vehicle, 1 universal lander. Might run out of fuel, so a refueling mission could be in order.... -
But Mk3 is so much more convenient for cargo. Also, there is a thing called an adapter. Useful for making like Mk3 parts work better with 1.25m engines. Or you could use radial attachment.
