  1. Was it a northern flicker? \
  2. Yeah, I've experimented with offset hacking for a "coaxial" rotor system.. Sorta worked, reliability was an issue and also making it fit into the model I wanted (that was actually the bigger problem.) @EpicSpaceTroll139 Thanks! That's actually a really cool idea, using to turbine rotors stacked on top of each other like that. Why one multipart and the other one solid? I would guess it was for the lower retention pin, but I'm not sure.
  3. I believe he has, using a heat shield for his new smaller turbine design. @Azimech, correct me if I'm wrong\ Also, mind showing a picture of your coaxial design to me? I've been trying to make a coaxial thing for a while, haven't been able to get something small enough that's powerful enough...
  4. Very much yay. I'm done for the year, finished finals little over a week ago.
  5. 3/10 Alien goop =/= hoo-man I eats the things that go oink. I do not eat the things on 2 legs. I am therefore a hooman.
  6. Ok, can't disagree with you there.
  7. I... um ... didn't? oops But I seem fine. Anyway, the "common vectors" didn't seem to be present... I'll keep an eye out though.
  8. Pilot Assistant. Super awesome mod, maintians heading, altitude, vertical speed, or a number of other factors.
  9. What if we use space bulldozer to bury the colony?
  10. The X-14 is really ugly.... @NorthAmericanAviation, mind explaining the exact VTOL mechanism? Its kinda unclear from the article. Was it seperate lift jets or was it a harrier-esque VTOL, with the outlet swiveling? Or was it something else?
  11. Dirt, would probably need a cap ontop (unless you completely bury it.) Alternatively, land the reactor far far away and connect a line across the ground. (KIS/KAS). Also pulling answer/suggestion from thin air.
  12. Hmm. I'd like to disagree with you there. Have you seen the crap that english is? In fairness, I've only really known how to speak/read dutch. Spelling may be harder
  13. After waking up at 2 or 3 in the afternoon for the past week, I got up at 8:30 this morning. Still didn't actually get out of bed till 10:30
  14. Native english/american (take your pick. I come from america, so it might not be proper English). I'm studying french at the moment (not fluent yet, but getting there) and I've grown up with dutch, so I know some of that too. Speak with us!
  15. I touched/held a wild rabbit once. IT WAS SO FLUFFY
  16. This is actually really cool. Thanks!
  17. But... its a gas giant. Implying it's very gassy, with little to no surface to land on.
  18. @ZooNamedGames - I like your ideas, and it seems a lot less computer melty than full weather simulation. However, a constant force of x in y direction.... I'm not sure, since eventually we will be able to just account for that, even if there are gusts. I would say to make it pseudorandomly generated, so that there isn't the same kind of predictability. Also, on Eeloo - I know some planet/ moon had jets of ice spurting from it. What if that was added? So at certain random points, there would be a sudden pushing force outwards. Enough to cause maybe a small probe to go off the surface 10, 20 m or so. Then ,a good counterbalance to this would be to have anchoring parts in the game (This would also cause less outrage for slippery slopes). I also just realized you said this for minmus, so basically, take that ide and apply it to eeloo. Maybe also eeloo should be cold enough to cause batteries to not function as well (deplete electric charge quicker/ reduced storage) (and could be heated up by an RTG?) Should Eve also have an atmosphere that could damage or overheat parts (with low heat tolerance, think basic fin)?
  19. Ok, so can cars fly? I've accidentally made a flying car....
  20. Floor 1821. You realized you missed floor 1812, where an overture was being played.
  21. Ok, I took your craft out for a spin. Comments: First - You really don't need that massive landing gear in front. I also moved the back landing gear forward, to help takeoff. I also flew it around a bit with F12 on. The front "blending panel" seems to cause your plane to pitch down. That doesn't help. As a suggestion - don't use the giant swept wing panel, try angling the little wing panels. Much more control and less width. Of course, then its angled at the tip, but you can try and put another panel there to help. Also, blending isn't really feasible on this scale in KSP. Best I could do is offset the cockpit slightly into the wings, but nothing really else. You could try radiator panels, but then it bulges out... So I can't really help you there. It does fly really nicely with SAS though. Kudos to that.
  22. Hey, this is cool for your first craft share. Suggestion - embed the images by posting the direct image link (on imgur, looks like i.imgur(blahblahblah).png). Lot easier to see. Easiest/most convenient way to share files - KerbalX. Also links any mods used in the craft as well as giving part count, weight, cost and a number of other factors, and you can make descriptions/share pics there as well.
