Amphibious Malemute. Nuclear reactor powered with a foldable electric propeller on the back. Will come in handy on Laythe and Eve.

Output.log? See link below (will expire in 24 hours). https://dropfile.to/tar35OF I tried enabling the control panel while watching the log but nothing changed. I think the window is showing up off screen. I'm at 4K so there isn't really a way for me to get at it if it is. I tried looking at my save file for a position but couldn't find one. I'm not even getting that far. I click on BV Control Panel and the control panel window never shows up. I have a similar problem when I tried using DMagic's Contracts Window +.

New to this mod, trying it out. I click on 'BV Control Panel' in the Malemute cab menu or the autopilot menu or app menu...and nothing happens. Any ideas why that would happen? I tried reloading the mod, no change. Thanks. KSP1.3.1 64bit on Windows 10.

parts [1.12.x] 'Project Orion' Nuclear Pulse Engine
Starfire70 replied to RoverDude's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
After returning from a much heralded exploration of Jool and its moons, K.E.V. Orion was upgraded with a more powerful communications dish and another reaction wheel assembly to make attitude changes a bit faster. Following a crew rotation and resupply, she heads back out for a 600 day cruise to Sarnus. -
@themaster401 Wow, you made the clouds on Kerbin even more beautiful. Kudos! Question about eclipses. I was in orbit around Laythe when Vall started to eclipse it. Now in orbit view, it's a beautiful detailed umbral/penumbal eclipse, however in ship view, I just see pure blackness slowly cover Laythe. Is there a technical limitation that keeps you from using the orbit view eclipse textures in ship view? Or is that entirely unrelated to AVP? Thanks as always for your efforts!

Regarding tourism missions, good point. They don't lead to any game progression. I also tried to automate missions from the surface of Kerbin to the surface of the Mun, the landing vehicle with wheels so that I can dock to the side of the base itself. However after docking, I get a message that mission tracking is ended...but I get no option for a return mission on the docking port. I tried searching the topic but didn't find any reference to this.
-
On a replay mission like a tourist flyby of the Mun, do you have to manually initiate the return of the vehicle from the Muna orbit station? Or is there a way for the vehicle to automatically return? I didn't see that behavior but maybe I'm missing something.
-
Actually, I figured out a workaround. I had thought that since the mission parameters are marked as complete when the RMM mission ends, I could just deploy the pilot and tourists to a simple capsule/module combination on the launch pad and then recover them and that should mark the tourism mission itself as complete. ...AND THAT WORKS. Easy peasy (certainly easier than doing the entire tourism mission manually).

[1.12.x] Docking Sounds!! v2.1.13 (1/30/2023)
Starfire70 replied to tg626's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Awesome! Running KSP 1.3.1 and performed my first docking. Heard that WONDERFUL chung-chung-chung-chung-chung-CHA sound effect. So satisfying.- 137 replies

Appears to work fine for me, but I've only repeated a tourism mission (which is based on Contract Configurator and Tourism Plus, so my tourists are returned but not considered 'recovered'). I love this mod, and I'm sure it will come in handy for resupply missions...just wish it would work for crew rotation/resupply/tourism missions from the contract packs.

I recently updated from KSP 1.2.2 to 1.3.1 on Windows 10, complete new KSP install, running latest AVP and 8k textures. There's a disconnect between the cloud cover seen above 7500 meters and below. I'll be re-entering and descending into what looks to be clear skies. However as soon as I descend below 7500, I'm surrounded by cloud cover. It's takes me out of the game. I don't recall this happening on KSP 1.2.2 so I'm not sure if this is a KSP 1.3.1 but or an AVP bug or both. Any ideas?

I love this mod, thanks @linuxgurugamer! Is there a way to degrade the view of the first 'haselbad 500<?>' camera, make it even more late50s/early60s? Say drop the resolution by half or something like that?

Hi-res flags needed for fabric patches
Starfire70 replied to CaptainGeoluread's topic in KSP Fan Works
...and I have my new desktop background, thanks. I love the KSP patch. -
130" projection screen actually. What can I say, I'm KSP-obsessed (aren't we all?) and I've spared no expense in getting the most powerful CPU and highest resolution display for it to try and get as close to a realistic experience as possible. When I switch from 4K to 1080p, I see a very real drop in how 'good' it looks (subjective judgement of course). It's slightly more convincing that I'm looking out a huge picture window with 4K. I'll try maxing out the anti-aliasing on 1080p, but I'm skeptical that smoothing pixels at a lower resolution will equate to a native higher resolution. Thanks!

Right, of course, but that kinda defeats the purpose of a 4K display. The good thing is that the mod KER has very flexible text scaling options & displays most of this information in table format, except for NODE and INTERCEPTION POINT. Does anyone know if there is a mod or of a way to display rendezvous interception information (specifically time to intercept point 1 and 2, closest approach of intercept point 1 and 2) in table format? If I can find that, at least I'll be able to plot rendezvous without getting out the Windows magnifier.

4K displays are starting to become more common, requiring scaling in KSP in excess of the 150% built into the UI settings to be useable. Although you can set the UI in the settings file to 200+ percent, various UI anomalies start to show up, such as the funds indicator in the KSC view vanishing all together, and the center of the navball going dark (it's like zooming in too far on an EVA Kerbal). Also, and most grievous, the orbit view display information should scale to what the UI setting is set to, and it's not. In orbit view, the apoapsis, pariapsis, node, and interception point info, etc. is impossible to read on 4K, it's just too small. That is my biggest pet peeve, it makes the game practically unplayable in 4K. There are also other text areas, such as the info box in the tracking station that are also impossible to read on 4k.
