So, earlier today I was messing around on my piano, and I noticed that "Welcome to the Black Parade" and "Raining Tacos" strangely go well with each other, so I decided to make a mashup. Fast forward 2-3 hours, it's done, but after a short round of googling I have determined that, basically, mashups are completely and entirely illegal in the US, but YT is full of them because nobody bothers to report them.
The only things that would make mashups legal is if they were licensed appropriately or I got the permission of the musicians and the publishers. Parry Gripp would be too hard because he probably gets spammed with notifications, MCR has broken up, and publishers won't talk to you unless you hire a lawyer.

Unfortunately not. Fair use has been determined to exclude the use of audio tracks for sampling, and that would apply to using the entire song as well.
Wikipedia offers a different stance, saying:
- You can do it but you have to pay 94 cents for every copy sold (I don't plan on selling it)
- It must fall under fair use
However, my mashup does not fall under fair use, because my use of the entirety of It's Raining Tacos would violate factor 3 (What you used as a percentage of the original). I might have been able to get away with using Black Parade because I only used the first two minutes or so, but according to stuff I've seen on multiple websites, the courts usually rule in favor of the producer.
Nobody will probably ever care, but that doesn't change the fact that it's illegal.
