  1. @vyznev I'd be careful with using the wings as deck space, I think they might go poof a little too easy.
  2. Moho on ions might present TWR problems (I tried it once with ions) and Delta-V problems. Moho is a hard planet to go to... Without TWR stats in front of me, I'd say you should be great doing at least Gilly, Minmus, a near Kerbin asteroid, and at least orbiting Duna/Ike. Duna landing is probably a no go, but Ike is iffy.
  3. Wouldn't it be 4 new grid fins? I think the titanium ones on the outer boosters are designed to be used several times.
  4. AFAIK the plan was to begin construction in Q2 this year of the first test article.
  5. Okay, I've found time to update the scoreboard! Congrats to all of you!
  6. Now, how to get more than one episode out per month... Hmm...
  7. If it really does stay in January, and it can't go up before the fifteenth, than around 7-10 percent (values in the middle are probably more likely than the extremes).
  8. One of my few New Years' Resolutions was to do a chapter of this per month. It's the very next thing on the list once I get back from Ohio. So, not dead! Just semi-permanently dormant.
  9. That moment when the other three wheels have exploded and you're still the third wheel.
  10. I'm having this same bug with scatterer (at least, I think it's scatterer, and it's with the atmosphere instead of the water). It's happening to me when the surface unloads (when I go above a certain altitude) while still in map view. When I go back to normal view the atmosphere, or in your case, the water, remains on the screen. Mine flickers. To fix this, either do a scene change or make sure to be looking at your craft when you pass that altitude (about 150-250 kilometers).

    Goat

PoGoatStick? EDIT: I wanted to make that joke but then after I speedily quoted you I saw the text. Goat
  12. I spent the first three hours of 2018 trying to steal some guy's socks on an inflatable obstacle course.
  13. I designed a small space capsule once. However, it was very evident I didn't know what I was doing and it was a pretty bad design, but I'll upload pictures sometime.
  14. Or Soyuz style. You'd need way smaller chutes to do it that way. EDIT: Apollo splashed down at 10m/s.
  15. In my experience, multiple Kerbals work well, because if you have a mothership/landers design, then if one dies you can use the other. As far as your confession, something like forgetting the crew is probably fine to reload for. If you got to Kerbin or Mun orbit, your score still counts... Also I really have to update the scoreboard but I can't right now.

    Goat

I'm tempted to take the whole Bee Movie script and do a Ctrl-F and replace all "Bee"s with "Goat"s.
  17. Hey there!

It's nearly 7 here and I was going to post a status about a bunch of interesting things that happened this year.

However it will have to wait to 2018 as I am going to my Church's New Year's party.

Happy New Year, and I wish you a fantastic 2018!

      NSEP

Its almost 1AM in GMT where i am.

Hope you have a happy new years eve! My aunt was talking to us end ended at t-00:02:00, so it was a little heated.

  18. Anything is fine as long as it obeys the laws of physics and is built and tested in one go.
  19. Do you know of a chart like this with all of 2017's launches on it?
  20. I'd say Set Foot while travelling at 0m/s counts as landed. Unless you're at Eve or Tylo, then I'll give you a pass on that. If you're having trouble with ladders, what I usually do for Eve is to add another capsule at the bottom of the rocket and transfer the crew into that capsule, then EVA.
  21. Wait, you're going for a grand tour? Awesome! Best of luck!
