This is an amazing idea. Sort of like "telephone." However, my 1.1.3 is only 30% downloaded. I will, soontm.

You install 1.1.3 and it breaks your craft. I go EVA to collect a surface sample of the launch pad.

It might be that on the ribbon generator, "Black Dot" means "Easter Egg."

@The Thyroid Man Yep. I don't know why I build in the SPH, but I do, so there's that. -
Or a random dresteroid (1/50 ish) that spawns with that. Or, somebody add one with Kopernicus!

Okay, so when I updated from KSP 1.1.1 or 1.1.2 (Can't remember which) to 1.1.3, using the patcher, the game will not start. If I try to start the game by clicking on the icon, it says that the game could not preload the game manager. If I use the launcher, the launcher crashes. This is the Windows version, and I should probably try deleting the mods, but I've got KER, KAC, and HE installed. I'm not sure if this is a mod problem or a patcher problem. Also, I used the patcher because it was going to take eight hours to download the game again. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

1.1.3 Hype Train: Branch Line Edition
Ultimate Steve replied to Whirligig Girl's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Don't use the patcher. It broke my game... I think. When I tried to launch the game, it said that it could not preload the game manager. If I try the launcher, it crashes. Is this also happening to anyone else? -

Eighty percent. Time to find that easter egg! 93... Yay! Loading now! It says could not preload game manager. I just broke my KSP. Now I have to either re-unzip my ksp 1.1.1 file or download 1.1.3 for several hours... -

The earliest versions of Kerbal Space Program
Ultimate Steve replied to KasperVld's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Wow, I just played 0.13. I can't even get to orbit with a ship that was designed for the Mun No lag, though. -
Download old versions of KSP
Ultimate Steve replied to GKSP's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Unless you have the game when those came out, it's going to be pretty hard t get ahold of those versions. 0.13 and under were the free versions, but 0.14 and above you had to pay for, and are basically illegal to distribute. So, unless you have a friend who owns the 0.15 version, I can't help you. But, I agree that it would be cool to be able to select the version you want to play, or if you've bought the game you should be able to download earlier versions. -
The rover crashes into the sun. I attempt to launch a submarine to Laythe.

Neagtive 42 times the square root of negative π. When is a jar not representative of an inverted bay door? -

At that rate it would collapse into a singularity in 142 years. Or it would break physics. Maybe both. On the plus side, that's a lot of ore, orbiting Dres! And swallowing the Sun! With 99999999g gravity! And one poor person trying to do the elcano challenge on it! Although, I would really like to see larger Dresteroids. Just not this large.

Year 2: A SPAAAAAAAAAAACE! Odyssey.
Ultimate Steve replied to max_creative's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
Probably also because of the benefits of mirror symmetry. It makes giant spacecraft look cool -
First off, here's a handy delta v map. Second, 550 DV seems a bit low for what you are describing. If it really is 550 DV then, no. It won't be enough. Third, this thread probably belongs in the "gameplay questions and tutorials" subforum.

@cubinator, Size 72 = C-F class asteroid. Around 600 meters wide. Unless the increase is exponential instead of linear... Actually, I just checked, and it is exponential! About 4.5x the mass per letter. So, plug 9.5 (class a) into an exponential growth calculator, then add 72 as your time variable and 450% as the growth, you get... 1.9223711885e+54 *tries to convert into regular numbers* 1,922,371,188,500,000,256,408,000,296,112,368,424,072,712,840,528,696,552 or about 2 septendecillion tons of rock. At 0.2 tons per cubic meter, this gives us about 400 sexdecillion cubic meters of rock. Diameter of a sphere calculator? 9.14×1017 meter diameter. 914000000000000000 meters. 914000000000000 kilometers. 914 trillion kilometers. The diameter of all of the planets in the solar system (the real one) is about 400,000km. Rounding to make the problem easier, half a million kilometers. It would take 1.8 billion solar system planet lineups to match this asteroid. More? Okay, what about AU? about 100 million miles is an AU, so this dresteroid is 9 million AU long. More? Light years? 142 light year wide dresteroid. Size 72, or class C-F. Okay, I'm done now
