  1. @Dman979 YES! The moon is amazing, especially if I make the effort to get my telescope out. Something even more amazing is a super clear night in a rural area with no moon, so you can see basically every star within the observable universe. It is even more amazing when the previous happens while the ISS flies over.
  2. Yes. Jool. It can also be humbling to orbit around the sun really close. Duna is also an awesome place as well, orbiting while you can see Ike while the sun is rising is purely epic. Orbiting meters above any non-atmospheric body is awesome as well, especially if other bodies are visible. Duna looks great from Ike, also.
  3. Just out of curiosity, how long is your "To Launch" List?
  4. It looks like a command pod with wings... MunComPodWingThingtm! On a completely unrelated note, I checked, and the magic boulder still isn't back.
  5. I don't have any pics right now, but if you take a mk1 pod+chute+heat shield, and do an asparagus of flt-400 and lv-909, with detachable airbrakes and chutes, that will do both Duna and Ike and back to Kerbin in the same mission, if you can get it down to Duna, which should be mostly-easy.
  6. uh.... *cough* Shameless Self Promotion. Mostly just model rockets, and the occasional KSP video.
  7. I believe I was the first person to make a working ion plane in KSP 1.1.
  8. Well, @S0NofThunder176 if you're available right now, I just installed BDA. Server IP? I'll play.
  9. I test using HyperEdit. I hack the files when something isn't right. I use the biome map in alt+f12. I use HyperEdit when I need to get to a mountain, or some place. So, yes. I am probably a cheater.
  10. I've got a quicksave. EDIT: I have, like, five backup saves now. I realize now that the danger might not be with bugs, but with trolls. There's this one guy trying to shoot it with a battle ship. EDIT EDIT: Thanks for the advice. He ended up blowing it up, but, yay! Yay for backups!
  11. Last night, I had the idea of making a Space Station to honor HarvestR. However, I knew eventually I'd lose interest and let it fall to bits. I then thought about doing it with the community, like Serial Space Station. However, only one person can add a module at a time. So, why not do it using DMP? If you didn't know, DMP (Dark Multi Player) Is a Multiplayer mod for KSP. So far, there are five modules installed. You can find the HarvestR memorial station on the NoNameShips stock 1.1 server. Its address is www.nonameships.pw Feel free to add to it! Below is the first module. It has since grown. Here it is now:
  12. @sardia Thanks! I wonder if you can increase the amount of weight a kerbal can lift... In space, technically, they should be able to move pretty much anything.
  13. What sort of DMP? War? Exploration? Etc?
  14. Yeah. I third this! (And while your at it... *squeals hopefully* could you fix the Magic Boulder? And maybe put his face on the monolith on it?) EDIT: @Sampa The Munar Resource HarvestR!
  15. Okay, I have Finished. The NSP want you to launch a Duna sample return mission using your shuttle. Our lander looks like this: As you can see, it fits nicely in a MK3 cargo bay. Including the decoupler, it is 61 parts, a bit over 10 tons, 4.8 meters tall, and 3.1 meters long/wide. If you could put this in a 250-ish KM orbit, that would be ideal! The Download is Here.
  16. A time limit, then? Also, I'm close to being done with the payload.
  17. @ZooNamedGames I don't think so. Check out Serial Space Station/Community Space Station, though. They have an okay system over there. Have someone announce that they are doing a mission continuation, then let them have the save.
  18. I am currently designing a mk 3 payload in the form of a robotic Duna sample return mission. I will have to test it first. Also, could we maybe do a sort of co-operative mission thing? Like you launch it then post the save and I can do the mission?
  19. Yes! The paragraph before that!!! I had completely forgotten about that... now I guess I need to spend a few hours re-reading everything.
  20. Okay. A few things: 1) I started a game by merging Jetski's game and an old career game of mine. Using KAS/KIS is a lot more difficult than I ever thought, especially because Bill's EVA pack is not working correctly. I also had an incident with a fuel pipe and spazzing out. 2) @sardia @ZooNamedGames Debris, satelites, stations, everything is useful. 3) I am considering making a mission report about this. 4) @Jetski Nice job! 5) @The_Rocketeer This actually did cross my mind a while back. I should whip up a game like this sometime.
  21. Hello! Today, I thought up an idea: What if I launched a small rocket and tried to survive and explore in space using nothing but the debris I find? I would use KAS and KIS, of course, to build with. I remember someone doing something like this a while back. Here's the catch: I don't have a save file with tons of orbiting ships, debris, and stations. So, I decided to come here. If anyone has any savefiles with: 1) Lots of Debris/ships, 2) No part mods other than KIS/KAS, Then feel free to dump/upload them here. I would then merge them to make a save file with lots of debris and ships, and then if there is enough interest I will post it here. Thanks in advance!
  22. @Spaceception @Camacha If I miss it, and don't here much of the news, what I do is immediately go to SpaceX's YT channel and wait for their video to come up, then watch the launch as if it was live. If possible, I try to avoid any information about the flight (fail, success, etc) but good luck next time! I hope you get to see it! BTW, the next one is scheduled for June 16... looks like another mission to GTO, and probably another "max damage" stage.
  23. Budget drops... *dramatic music plays* Funny. I remember now something that happened a year (ish) ago. I was running low on money, but I had this tourist contract to fly some people around the Mun. I had to keep stripping down the ship, and I finally got it down to an affordable level. At the time of launch, I had 3 funds left. You read that correctly. 3. Anyways, the flight went as planned until re-entry. I had my camera pointed up to minimize lag (this was back in 0.90 and I play on a laptop) and I was at an altitude of about five kilometers when I decided to pop the chutes. "Why are they fully deployed?" *tilts camera downward* "WOAH, THAT'S A HUGE MOUNTAIN!" So, yeah. 3 bucks and a mountain. Half a second later and I wouldn't have landed it. Later, I noticed that half the tourists wanted a Kerbin orbit flight. My Mun mission went straight to the mun without being in KO any time. So, I had to do another mission. I'll have to check, but I think I named the rocket "Dumb Tourists." I was really angry at the time.
  24. Darn... the revenge of the spaghetti rockets. Looks like they need to install KJR.
