  1. Starting manned feels like the most kerbal way to do things I mean, when you think about it, it does make sense for the Kerbals to start out by strapping themselves to boosters before they develop remote control stuff.
  2. Yes yes yes. I was going to suggest this myself but you beat me to it I think that since we have flag plaques, this would be really cool.
  3. If you go fast enough, it lists your situation as "escaping". You never actually escape, but maybe the contract could have an altitude specified?
  4. ROBLOX is okay, but the community is really... well... quirky. There's a few normal folks. There's a huge population of 6 year olds There's a bunch of wackos And some of the forums are a lot "edgier" than you would expect.
  5. If you have the Stayputnik, you can put it on top of the command pod. It looks nice.
  6. Don't worry, I'll fix it by adding dogs! What do you think about "doge"? Waiter, there's a bowl of soup in my soup!
  7. Well then, your target will be 100km away. That's quite a distance.
  8. Oh... that sounds like a different problem altogether. When you mouse over the Intersect, what does it say for distance?
  9. When you reach the point labeled "Intersect", the asteroid should be at the point labeled "Target Position at Intersect". You do orbital maneuvers (which I personally suck at) to bring the two points closer together Did that explain it or are you having a different problem?
  10. Those testing contracts are getting a bit annoying, they're making their way into almost all of my ships... I always add on a testing part to ships that get into orbit.
  11. It's measured from sea level, at least in KSP. And yeah, I didn't know about the LEO atmospheric drag either. It made me sad, we can't have infinite orbits in real life
  12. I think it used to be like this in earlier versions. It's supposed to look more like an SSTV camera feed or something. I kind of like it.
  13. I don't see what the big deal is. It just collects data about mods and crash reports, etc.
  14. Unfortunately it only works via staging or (sometimes) by right clicking the part and pressing Run Test. I also really wish they would let you do it with hotkey, though. It's annoying.
  15. The contracts should request specific data instead of just "science" in general. For example, "Collect temperature data from around the Mun".
  16. 1. Yeah, it's basically a random phrase generator... you'll find that a lot of them just say stuff like, "we don't know what to do next" 2. I agree so much with this. Unlocked all the jet engines and wings only to find that landing gear was a whole separate category. So annoying. 3. It is pretty easy to get surplus money, as others have mentioned. I kind of like it this way, personally 4. I think there a mod for this, "Better Than Starting Manned". But that's not the Kerbal way! Who needs safety! Blast us to the stars!
  17. It does work, but even with 4x warp, it still takes forever.
  18. Yep, instead of just returning the capsule, now I spam radial chutes all over the ship. Radial chutes are my best friend.
  19. If you make a really long ship, I suppose it could poke the surface of the Mun. For a brief amount of time, you would be "landed" on the Mun and Kerbin simultaneously.
  20. You're lucky. I hate the "test while in flight" missions. You have to be going a certain speed at a certain altitude, and it's a freaking pain if you're trying to do more at once.
  21. There used to be a glitch in some of the older Danny2462 videos (I think it was called Research and Destruction) where you make a line of girders and stab it into the planet, also known as planet jousting Unfortunately, it looks like they fixed that, but there's two possibilities now: 1) Use this, although it looks rather weird: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/65110-The-PlanetBuster-9000 2) HyperEdit, redirect Minmus into the sun or interstellar space
