  1. Did Valve have to make these? No, no they didn't, but we're happy that they did
  2. That one was banned along with three other sleeper spambots on the same IP, normally their threads are also removed but people have posted in here now so I'll leave it up. Now we know there's a threat we'll all have to keep an eye out in case there's any more of them. Edit: Moving this to the Network.
  3. Hmm, spambots are scraping the forums for text to blend in now.... Good catch guys
  4. Yikes, that looks bad cobhc, it's is possible the zip is fubar but it's also possible the gfx card is flaky. But, the most likely cause is Windows, there's something called Data Execution Prevention which'll prevent KSP from properly writing several files it needs, some stuff is procedurally generate when KSP is first run, among those things are meshes and the settings.cfg Either unzip KSP again to a non-Windows folder (c:\Games is good for this) or copy your existing KSP install to there, delete the settings.cfg and start the game. It should work
  5. I can confirm this, no mods required
  6. I'm sorry Mrherponaderpsherp but whatever you are trying to post just isn't working at all, if they are in-game screenshots taken with the F1 key I suggest you upload them to Imgur.com and then post the URL's to those images here.
  7. It's true it does not just limit throttle travel, it actually cuts the maximum power of the engine and the throttle scales with the change, I can't think of another name for it though
  8. Oh for goodness sake guys... #include <stdlib.h> main() { system("KSP.exe -force-opengl"); } How much malicious code do you see in there?
  9. You can scroll it down far enough so it's out of the way, but yeah it's annoying, the editor changes should be addressing this though so just wait and see
  10. HarvesteR made it, it's not supposed to be easy to fly, it's supposed to be fun
  11. I think this thread has gone about as far as it can, it's making people feel dirty, sorry but the KSP forums are not ready for topics of this mudnitude. Closing and going for a shower
  12. Before we got the recovery button I tried this a few times, not so much on Kerbin though as on the Mun and Minmus. This was also before physwarp, docking and the claw... Back then we'd have to try to gather up the pod using landing legs and return home at normal speed, unless we wanted the pod to float through the rescue craft, or drop it deliberately and try to pick it up again later before reaching the atmosphere (much fun). Descents were also difficult, when that parachute opened the mass of the pod would push it through the rescue craft...
  13. Sounds good O-Doc, I'll be looking forwards to it, should expect a playable alpha in a few weeks yes?
  14. Of course testing was done, but you know, testers are smart enough to add sufficient wheels And of course, Squad is treading the middle ground between realism and fun, guess someone needs to read more
  15. Big real world planes use a lot of wheels too, and for good reason, take a look at the galaxy. And this thing is pretty heavy, 20 wheels helped
  16. Uh, the Mk2 probe core is a reaction wheel, take a look
  17. I don't know if anyone here's spotted this yet, but when you reach your node in KSP, there's a pause when it reaches zero. KSP is counting -0
  18. Easter Eggs should be actual things I think, things that are fun to find and when you look at them you think "Huh, that's cool I know that from whatever". Movie references are a good example
  19. KSP is great and I probably played it more than any other game, well except maybe for this
  20. Why would you want to run this on OSX or Linux? This sets Windows KSP to use openGL, OSX and Linux already do this as we don't have DirectX.
