Then rather than bemoan it, suggest how it can be resolved, this is a place for discussion, not griping

I see your Tsar Bomba armed bees and raise you Judge Dredd riding a rocket touting Raptor riding a fire breathing shark

Why are you posting this twice? And two identical images, one would have been fine, and one thread. Closing

KSP is KSP, not a roleplay game, this argument is moot. Talk about it in Off-Topic if you want, it is a deep subject that can touch on many games, but it's not specific to KSP.

It's worth keeping backups of your older versions of KSP so you can keep your favourite savegames running, you can always keep your store zips and run several copies of KSP at once. And I have found that the limitation on the Windows Steam version seems to be gone, so just back up your Steam install as a zip for future use

I can understand this, I wasn't happy with the changes from 0.13 to 0.14 as it broke all my craft, and I had no idea how to conduct myself here, even going so far as ranting at HarvesteR myself once over a bug (stage list re-sort bug), sorry Harv! KSP is going to change, there will be art passes and new parts, new features added and old stuff might even be removed, we don't know yet. KSP is "perfect" now, none of us want to see it get broken.

I asked for the ratings to be re-instated mainly for the Challenges section, so good challenges would be easier to find, they make sense in Fanworks, SpacecraftExchange and other places too. Maybe we just don't need them in GeneralDiscussion?

There's been a fair bit of discussion recently about conflicting opinions not being allowed on the KSP forums, but then, those threads have done fairly well and were open for many pages, which pretty much shows that such opinions are allowed here. This thread is no different, and shows that fanboyism is less of a problem than people think, we do have a strong community here, with people form many backgrounds who enjoy the game, sure their will be some fanboys but this is unavoidable, they make up a percentage of any gaming (or any other) community. Don't let it get to you

No, I think a lot of players are worried about how KSP will turn out in the future, we love this game and we don't want to see it ruined by bad derisions or pandering to the vocal minority, as what happened to Minecraft. There is always uncertainty about the future, and peoples concerns can manifest themselves in threads like this one and those that came before it, when someone is concerned they will fixate on something as a focus of that concern, even if it is not the cause, it's the only thing they can see. One solution is to realize that the concerns are unjustified, KSP is not like other games and Squad have a roadmap that they are sticking to, only self-imposed deadlines may slip, and occasionally new exciting ideas are added. KSP is in good hands, even though Squad is still a fledgling developer, they are getting there and with the support of the players they will give us a great game

The star ratings don't affect anything, it's not like Reddit where highly voted threads are closer to the top. High traffic threads will remain near the top, such as exciting challenges or controversial discussions, that's what's more important.

KSP will not become like Minecraft, there are thousands of other Indie games that didn't become like Minecraft, KSP is and will be one of those games. It's actually not very helpful to compare KSP to Minecraft to be honest, apart from both being sandboxes there really is no overlap, and KSP won't remain a sandbox when career mode is implemented. Even the development process is wildly different, with Squad treating each major update as a mini development cycle, with a development period (Alpha), a testing phase (Beta) and then a release each time (Gold), much like a large developer will do, Squad does this with each update. Minecraft, well, we all know how its development went, it bares about as much resemblance to game industry standard as custard does to Munar regolith

Just in case it's unclear what mod+x is, on Windows and OSX it's Alt+X, and on Linux it's RightShift+X -

This is not the forum for such requests RenatsMC, you will be better off asking on an animation forum, as this is a game forum. Good luck, but don't ask for this again here please.

KSP has the best community I've ever seen. Let's keep it that way.

We were, and we all struggled to even get to orbit, let alone the Mun, but we had fun doing it and all the new players will get to experience that for themselves as well -
"Capcom this is Jebediah, we are about to disengage ASAS for the gravity turn, over" "Jeb, you are go for ASAS disengage, over" [ASAS sings] "Roll roll roll your rocket, gently out to space...." [Jeb] "Aghhhhh!" [bob] "Aghhhhh!" [bill] "Aghhhhh!" [ASAS] "....merrily merrily merrily merrily...." [GROUND CONTACT ERROR]

How many forum users does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
sal_vager replied to Keldor's topic in The Lounge
KSP forum users are rocket scientists, no mere light bulb can stop us! Changing a fuse though, that's hard -

And you will be one of them too, you're still quite new to the place, you'll get used to it don't worry It's just that sometimes, a thread just doesn't add anything new, like multiplayer threads, everyone gets fed up with them eventually. Thread closures aren't something to be upset about, or even to worry about to be honest, they happen to everyone eventually. -
help posting error reports

It's best to use pastebin, or if the logs are too large you can use dropbox or filedropper Use Imgur for pics!
