  2. Gods Kosmo-not, 3km? I tend to deorbit at 5km as a minimum, and that's only with very light landers, it'd be much higher with a large vessel, say about 10 to 15km.
  3. Currently, Curious Georges are unable to read the Developer blogs, when you have made 5 posts and are upgraded to Bottle Rocketeer, you will be able to read them.   8. There was an interview with HarvesteR where he talked about this, I'll have to find the link This is old and is mainly about docking, but he mentions how stuff might be moved about, remember it's old though and all this might have been changed by now.

Hi Ascimator and welcome to the community You'll want to make sure the chutes are not in a stage with stuff like engines, and that they are above most other things, usually they will automatically go in the stage with the command capsule, but if that is not the case, you can drag them from wherever they are in the VAB or hangar side bar to another stage, you can even add a new empty stage in the VAB or hangar. I like to put mine at the top of the stage list so they are always the last thing to activate.

This does happen to me a lot as well, but I'm on Linux and using Wine, so I can't help the devs with this kind of bug report, most of the time I can leave KSP running but other times it'll crash or freeze withing minutes. I'm not sure this should be in General, but it's not a bug report or a request for help, also, KSP is alpha software and it should be expected to crash, it is very far from completion. If you can reproduce this bug, please file a bug report with as much info as possible incuding your dxdiag, output_log, and crash reports, your persistence files might help as well. Hi BeastlyHEXQuest, and welcome to the community I am also in England, and I donated to Squad using my credit card, which was handled by Paypal, the conversion to Sterling was automatic and with the current favorable exchange rate you'll be getting a bargain Wolfram Alpha tells me that currently, KSP will cost you £11.47, this does not include any Paypal fees but I don't remember seeing any when I made my purchase.

Hi Nymus. 1: Any qualifications you want for your story, you can make it serious, or humorous, it's your story so it's up to you 2: Currently Kerman is the only surname in KSP but that doesn't mean you can't come up with others, and there is no rule that they need to start with K 3: Multi-part stories are fine, just don't keep us waiting too long for the next installment 4: Have fun writing, that's the most important thing

Hi Suzaku, and welcome to the KSP community forums Good luck with your spaceplane designs, they are a lot of fun, especially landing them, I suggest you are a little careful with how you use the engines and fuel tanks, it's not in game yet but eventually the aircraft engines will only be able to use aircraft fuel tanks.
  17. PhysX is being pushed by Nvidia for its graphical bling, not for its actual physics capabilities, anyway PhysX should really have it's own thread in Off-Topic. This thread as well is mainly concerned with GFX cards, rather than KSP, so it should be in Off-Topic as well. I'll move it
  18. That would be a pain for non nvidia users, as well as Linux users as I'm pretty sure the Linux drivers just don't support it, does the Mac driver have PhysX support?

Yeah guys, there's no need to claim one is better than another, all that really matters is if it plays our games or not, I only went for AMD this time as I couldn't get Thief to run on an nvidia card, something about the supported colour modes. I can only recommend the cards I am currently using, the HD4580 in my desktop and the nvidia6600 in my laptop, as those are the only cards I have direct experience with, both run KSP quite well for me and I even tried the Linux Nouveau drivers, those were very slow but they did work.

Hi botse, welcome to the community Unfortunately the Demo is unlikely to be upgraded to a later version, and the 0.13.3 code is not going to be revisited by Squad, so the only way to access the new content is via donating, the donation amount will increase as KSP develops so it's best to get it now.
