  1. Some people don't play for the challenge, they just like to muck about and have fun, having fun is after all why we play computer games to begin with So lets not turn this thread into a discussion about whether one should use add-on engines or not, agree?
  2. I read somewhere that the most efficient altitude for the trans Munar burn was as low as possible, so that would be just over 69,100m I can't remember where I read this though, I think it was one of Closette's comments, or maybe Kosmo-not's.
  3. Hi there fowlplaychicken2, this might help you out Also, what I do is this, once I have gotten within about 30km I sight down my ship like a gun barrel, and watch my target's movement relative to me, nothing else matters, just which way and how fast the target is drifting compared to your vessel, you don't even need the navball.
  4. Hi Dave Thompson and welcome to the community Funny, your manner of speaking and name remind me of someone Love the logo, the bubbles are a nice touch.
  5. This is just a total guess by the way, but if you calculate each section of flight, first with all boosters, then the next "stage" then the next, separately, can you combine the results?
  6. kos, numerology has been soundly debunked as garbage, and numerology is the sole basis of Christopher Knight and Alan Butler's moronic book that exists solely to move money from their victims into their own accounts, their "work" has no basis in fact or reality. So I ask you not to sully these forums with their drivel again.
  7. roarke, there is no competition between add-on developers, there may be some incompatibilities between add-ons themselves but these are usually fixed in due course. Also, please reword your posts in this thread so they make more sense, myself and others are finding it difficult to understand you and your posts here are verging on Rule 3: Section 3: Spam A user shall not: Post nonsense, incomprehensible comments, which appear to not just be jargon.
  8. Xike, the four week cycle was scrapped as it was unworkable, Squad are now on a "It's ready when it's ready" cycle. This thread is now going off topic, I will remind you again, the topic is the KSP 0.17 Update, not the release date, which is a rules violation if it is all a post or thread contains Rules Addendum: 16MAY2012 "Release Date" Creating posts or threads that contain nothing but 'When is the next release coming?' is prohibited.
  9. And I can't help but answer that no one know, not even HarvesteR, as they won't release it until they are happy with it, I will also add this little tidbit from the Rules: Rules Addendum: 16MAY2012 "Release Date" Creating posts or threads that contain nothing but 'When is the next release coming?' is prohibited. So please, no more asking or guessing about the release date, or posts might have to be deleted or threads closed, and this thread was doing so well up till now.
  10. Glad to see you are making progress Dermeister Oh and don't forget you can edit your last lost in this thread as well as the first, double posting is one of those "good conduct" things, in that it's preferable to let another person answer before you post again in the same thread
  11. Soviet borris, this is one of the taboo questions "we do not ask" Basically it'll be done when it's ready and not a moment before.
  12. Well, the rules may be a little more lax in Off-Topic but this thread is degenerating fast into an argument, this thread will be locked I'll remind you all of part of Rule 5: Section 5: 'Trolling' A user shall not: post, or create a topic designed to anger other users. This applies to posts within threads as well, do not start this argument in a new thread please
  13. Currently this is only possible by leaving an object at the site, you can rename the object in the persistence file and a manned pod will show up better than a piece of debris
  14. Fuel lines have no effect on RCS fuel, all they are really doing is setting the fuelflow value of the RCS tanks to true, but you could just as easily run fuel lines from the front tanks to the rear ones directly, and right click on the front tanks to turn off their fuel flow, keeping the weight distributed.
  15. Having not tested this myself I can only really guess, the length of your rocket coupled with the thick atmosphere of Kerbin at low altitudes may mean there is too much air resistance for seriously fast maneuvers, I suggest you test a short stubby aircraft, and test your craft at a higher altitude, and see if it makes a difference.
  16. NeoArod, you will be able to do all that once you reach 5 posts and are upgraded to a Bottle Rocketeer, the Curious George phase is an anti-spammer measure just in case
  17. Hi NeoArod and welcome to the community Have you checked under the sofa cushions for the HDD? I am always losing stuff there Glad to see you are enjoying KSP NeoArod.
  18. Oh right, those and their stationary brethren are too similar Are you Yawing in oder to turn (A and D) or are you Rolling (Q and E) then using up elevator? I ask as rudder control is not a great way to turn even in real life, it introduces some odd effects, whereas you say you have good pitch control, so I would assume you can turn quite well if you Rolled first then Pitched up
  19. I have to agree, we have a lot of Russian members here who must be tired of the cold war/anti communist nonsense of American culture, I know I would be. Plus you have posted no rules or pics, and this challenge is neither well thought out or executed, we are forced to assume you mean the abandoned space center but you give no details. This thread will be closed, if you want to post another challenge, please consider our Russian members first, and our Chinese and Korean as well for that matter.
  20. Well the balance of any aircraft is important, and we will be getting tools for that with the next update (if it makes it in) but something you could do is add control surfaces to the front winglets, or replace them with winglets that move. If you find your craft is nose heavy, you can tilt the front winglets up slightly (Shift+WASD) to give you more lift at the front.
  21. PhoenixCraftLTD, it could be down to the sheer weight of the new larger parts, also this thread should really be in General Discussion, so I'll move it
  22. Hi Dermeister, you might want to break up your text into sentences, and upload the .craft file for others to try
  23. iCharles, he should get up if you select him as the active flight and use WASD, or failing that, press R to activate his jet pack, and he should move
  24. Hi Nicolas411 and welcome to the forums You can upload your dxdiag to pastebin, then post the link here, and the recommended system specs are on the Download page, here they are for you though.
  25. Remember to stay on topic guys, the new planets are still under development, probably because Nova is too busy making a big list of suggested names not to use I am sure by now any possible name beginning with K has been put on that list.
