  2. Guys, does eye candy need a purpose? Some people like this kind of stuff, others like ascii graphics, an ascii KSP would be just as "purposeless" but it'd be fun to see.

Hi Razzman, welcome to the community Wow that's a complex challenge, and it might not be doable as craft go "on rails" when not the active vehicle or within 2.5km of it, so any craft already docked would drift through the station when you tried to launch another craft. You'd have to redock all extra craft each time you approached, hard work, so good luck to all who attempt this
  9. Hi jinx083464, welcome to the community If you have the alpha version, you can turn on Terrain Scatters on the video settings screen, this will make it easier to see where the ground is. Also if you have the alpha, you can try the MechJeb and the Lazor add-ons, both of these have true ground altimeters. If you want to land on the night side you can try floodlights as well, but if you are still playing the Demo, none of these will be available to you, and you will have to just be careful.

As you rightly assume vvaris, trying to monetize your add-ons on the KSP forums would be in breach of the rules, and I suspect a majority of members would be against charging or being charged for add-ons. I'll just remind you of part of Rule 8 Section 8: Miscellaneous Issues A user shall not: At any time advertise an off forum feature, service, or society- incentive does not matter.

Kodemunkey, as long as the decoupler for the probe is in it's own stage, you will be able to release it whenever you want, just drag that particular stage to the top of the stage list in the VAB so it is out of the way. Then later when you want to release your probe, drag that stage down to the bottom of the stage list in the flight scene, you will then be able to release the probe with the next press of the space bar.

  21. Hi stevelcf and welcome to the community I'm glad you are enjoying the demo, but I am sorry to say that paypal is the only option currently, though KSP will be coming to Steam eventually. If you can get a friend in another country to buy KSP for you he can give you the account he uses, and you can pay him back, that is the only way right now for people who can't use paypal.

Hi Darkstorm406 and welcome to the community Though I can't answer your question, other people here will be able to, though I will say that even with "on paper" excellent performance numbers, you have to take into consideration the increased mass of the engines and fuel needed to feed them, which would reduce your real world performance. On the second issue though, it is now easy to overstress your craft with the new engines especially at high altitudes where the atmospheric resistance drops off, so watch your G meter, plus the new decouplers seem to be too feeble as well Edit, I should have mentioned, when at higher altitudes, to avoid over stressing the craft, reduce the throttle.
  23. This thread is degenerating fast, first off, roleplay was shut down, for a very good reason, which was that no one involved could stick to the rules and refrain from argument. The rp board was making the KSP forums look bad, so now all rp is to take place off site, that includes any claims or reminders of old claims to supposed land, possessions or achievements. I will remind you that all such rp activities were nothing more than fiction, and it has no place here, this thread has already run it's course, and will now be closed
  24. The rules are the rules gulinot, these rules come from Squads legal department, there is no arguing and we all have to abide by them. Old add-ons that do not have a license will not "default to the public domain" on the KSP forums, and new add-ons must be supplied with a license, even one as simple as "free for any use, knock yourself out" is acceptable. There is no point in complaining about this one, it is out of everyones hands, and I'd appreciate it if this discussion ended here.
