NASA will reveal new discovery made by curiosity
NSEP replied to insert_name's topic in Science & Spaceflight
It could very well be something we already speculated and/or knew about, and NASA would just confirm it. But i don't know what. Conspiracy theorist knew about the streams of water on Mars quite some time before NASA confirmed it. So maybe NASA will confirm a nuclear war happend on Mars /s -
When is someone not considered a minor anymore, is it 13+ or 18+?

Being awake way too late on a school night while listening to relaxing music can make wonders

Or lay down like Y-person depicted here. X-person is going to get spine problems, Z-person is going to get a severe headache, but Y-person is just fine.

My Mom's manfriend(?) put the PC in front of my closet to make space. He just straight up assumed i didn't use that closet, but if he maybe peeked inside, he would have seen all my homework, books, and other usefull things inside. Its late at in a school night and i won't waste it on moving my entire PC setup, im a stick insect, not a strong, buff, man. I at least want to talk to him again .

There is the option of only spinning up the gravity when the peeps are asleep in bed, laying flat, but that would take up fuel unless the BFS has reaction wheels of some sorts. That would be awesome and terrifying at the same time.

Sometimes i just want to move out and live on my own, but im too young, so i will have to be patient. I prefer to deal with my own problems and situations instead of getting involved with that of others.

Some of my friends play KSP but most of them lost interest in it because it was too hard. Spaceflight simulator is simpler and easier to play with (and its free), so maybe you could convince them to play that, but you can also just leave them alone, wich might be the best option. -
Space Colonization/Settlement Discussion Thread
NSEP replied to SaturnianBlue's topic in Science & Spaceflight
Related to the topic. https://amp.cnn.com/cnn/2018/06/06/us/pew-study-millennials-space-tourism-trnd/index.html?__twitter_impression=true The most important thing of space colonization is that there have to be people who want to go to space. Space tourism will likely become a thing within the next 50 years, the cost for tourism will get lower, thus more people will go to space. If space tourism becomes a thing, people will decide if they want to live permanently in space. -
I 'post' farm instead of 'rep' farm. 'Rep' is just a number if clicks, 'posts' are how many times you have helped, discussed and learned.

It looks pretty good, althought the white/yellow stars and lines look a bit distracting and out of place. I don't mind the tiny dots though. The Probe is a bit off centre and wich bothers me a bit. But overall, this looks like something i would like to put on my wall as poster, nice! I colored a drawing of mine. Not too happy with it. The hair looks off and the face is a little empty. Original:

I somehow got most of my friends to stop playing Fortnite by introducing them to Spaceflight Simulater. Yes, yeah! -

You can't completely eradicate your account, all you can do is forget about it or stick around.

The amount of Delta-V needed for a Baikunur launch to the Moon isn't much larger than that of a Florida launch, so i doubt was a major problem. The Soviets had their succesfull unmanned Moon Landings, wich had these same problems, obviously got around the inclination problem. The failed unmanned attempts of the Soviets had nothing to do with inclination.

Space Colonization/Settlement Discussion Thread
NSEP replied to SaturnianBlue's topic in Science & Spaceflight
I think a giant spinning habitat in space is probably the best option for a full on 'colony'. Planets are harsh uncontrollable places. Spinning habitats on the other hand are completely controllable, from gravity to atmospheric composition. Another advantage of spinning habitats is that there is no gravitational pull or external atmosphere that could increase the mass/delta-v requirements of any spacecraft that wants to visit. The disadvantages of a spinning habitats are the lack of available resources and radiation protection, but you can just put a spinning colony inside an asteroid to provide resources and radiaton protection. Then there is the fact that spinning habitats have to be huge in order to not make us sick from claustrophobia or merry-go-round-sickness, but remember, 'colonies' aren't just permanent bases, colonies are full on cities meant to sustain the lives of hundreds of thousands of people, and a base on Mars isn't going to be less huge. Im not saying we shouldn't go to Mars, the Moon and beyond however. The Moon and Mars would make great scientific and industrial outposts. -
Of all my previous profile pictures? I have had more profile pictures than stars in the universe.

Someone put an empty glass that still had lipstick on it inside the closet for clean dishes . This is why i will always want to serve my visitors instead of make my visitors serve themselves. These mistakes are bound to happend.

Im considering getting a permanent profile picture but i don't know what fits me.

Is the media going to freak out about it now, almost half a year after announcement? Who is the real enemy, Elon time or Media time?

Im amazed by the fact that people can send stuff into space. But how could anyone make the mistake of fitting in the sensors upside down? This didn't happend once, this happend TWICE, one with the Proton and one with the Ariane. Seriously, how?
