  1. Yes, you can have mod parts with built-in docking port. Make sure to know beforehand how it is positioned and which size it is. And yes, you can put the port anywhere you liker, as long the node is free it will work.
  2. Actually there is two way to do it with EEX: 1.build with symmetry then strip it (SHIFT+ALT+Click), adjust staging sequence and fuel flow. 2.Master snap. LCONTROL+Click to select master part, hover over a part and hit V/H to snap it vertically/horizontally relative to the master part. Click on a empty space to deselect master part.
  3. @swjr-swis I didn't check it myself but have seen reports of locking batteries and fuel flow being ineffective in this case. Apparently one need control to unlock the resource. And flow priority only determined what batteries will be drained first not which module will get that EC first.
  4. The runaway have only two advantages over the grass: 1.It is where the craft spawns 2.recovery rate. I'd say: Nerf the grass.
  5. The spaceplane craft building aids I use and recommended are: KER, RCS building aid, Editor Extensions. There are several pilot assist mods out there, usually pretty complex. None that I use often enough to recommend.
  6. Your preferences is your to pick. But is still only a game option, not "/cheat" in any sense. And no, it's not the ground station that remove the incentive to have a network around Kerbin. The option to turn off commnet enterily already took care of that.
  7. "Craft repository"...sure.... I'm curious. You did it on purpose?
  8. I setup the strategy that converts science to reputation. Otherwise nor much of a difference.
  9. The kind of precision is not impossible with just small engines, thrust limiting and very carefully applied low throttle. Granted it requires quite a bit of knowledge and patience, but not that uncommon among KSP players (or even newish KSP players).
  10. Your mission report is irrelevant for the discussion. Either provide a test anyone can do and observe on-rails orbital deviation or accept that you have no evidence to backup your claim. And you said that you know why it happen. Thus you should be capable ot telling us how to make it happen. You actually said that warping for a few months at max warp speed is "asking for trouble". However we warped for years and nothing happened. I had 20 satellites, in a heavily modded install. I warped for 17years. Results: nothing! Not even a single meter of deviation. So what is wrong with my test? Is there a specific mod I need to add to my game? Is there some celestial body where the issue happens more often? Should I have a tea or eat a snack during the test? (Notice those are rhetorical question, I already know your answers: "I don't know. I don't want to test my claim.")
  11. Not bad indeed. However I'm not so sure you should refuel anything at that phase of carrer. You will be doing contracts inside Kerbin's SoI for funds. The deltaV requeriments for those are low enough that you can easily reach with a single launch. Some missions will call for returning with the vessel (rescue, tourism), some will permitt ludicrous amounts of deltaV in the vessel (satellites) others yet will leave the vessel as a glorified debris (stations). And even in the cases where the vessel end up out fuel is often a better use of your time to just abandob it and do something else than sending a refueller. Of course you may still do it because of roleplay/challenge/whatever.
  12. The 2nd question is how much you want the menu the ideal way. Kinda "how much it need to be changed/maintained?" ("I really don't care"/"would be nice"/"KSP is broken"). In any case added a new option if you(or anyone else) are still unsure. Or just prefer to give the opinion about the 1st question.
  13. 90k? What that vessel is for? Some of my interplanetary ships don't cost as much.
  14. No one is doubting the OP. What is being questioned is your claim that it's happening during on-rails warp. Two problems: 1.everyone buy you is telling vessel position is not calculatrd that way. 2.everyone agree that a SoI change(aka encounter) will require new orbital parameters. So no, that assumption cannot be made. You basically asked to start the discussion disregarding the arguments of everyone else.
  15. Literally not move. And agreed about the static surfaces (is my usual choice)
  16. My observations, taking the precautions you mentioned, are exactly the same of yours: no orbit change.
  17. *Sight* Is not yet clear I have commnet on but partial control disabled? Personally I find extremely satisfying. Now I can Ignore arguments about what make sense or since we'll go with the power of imagination.
  18. Is @Vegatoxi dead? So. Last visit 3 days ago last post is 5 day ago. I don't even know when he last played KSP. No phone call. I think is dead for now. RIP Vegatoxi 1901 - 2017
  19. I suggest to disregard the Dawn in your request for more eletric engines. Because I don't think you want more Ion engines, with similar low thurst density and extremely vacuum optimised. Also, there's a mod for that, In fact several mods. And If the mod have any resemblance of balance the eletric engines will have some limitations to not make all other kind of engines obsolete.
  20. Been a while since I dealt with RT. But IIRC not exactly, there's omnidirectional and directional antennas. Only the later type needs to be pointed. Still, something to check out. Other than that (as silly as it may sound) there's the possibility of the lainchpad not having line of sight to the nearby tracking station because both are at ground level. In that case you may use launch clamps to have control at the launchpad and will have cobtact with the tracking station after climbing a few meters.
  21. Another point: if your periapsis is above the surface, by definition, you're missing ther ground. You actually need to slowdown to go down.
  22. Btw if someone want some help with stationkeeping (Reported to work with newer versions of KSP)
