This mod is obsolete. Replaced by OPT_Reconfig A single config mod. Converts select OPT parts for use with USI Life Support. Requested by a handful but I'm sure will be welcome by dozens. It's not being offered as a patch to be included in the OPT downloads as USI LS may change drastically, rendering this (as a bundled patch) quickly outdated. Download it from: GitHub sandbox SpaceDock Includes MiniAVC so everyone can be aware of updates. Comments and suggestions welcome. Does this need a license? If so, CC-BY-NC-SA. Feature list:

[1.3.0] OPT Space Plane v2.0.1 - updated 29/07/2017
JadeOfMaar replied to K.Yeon's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
My OPT USI life support config is nearly complete. As of now it's missing entries for the Avatar series parts but the full details are in the spoiler. -
[1.5.1] Kerbal Star Systems [v0.8.2] August 18, 2018
JadeOfMaar replied to StarCrusher96's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Pour some FD&C Red #40 in it. That fixes everything. You're not supposed to post your log into the forum. Such a large thing will overload the forum and cause a forum kraken. Your game crashes because there's not enough memory. If you have < 8GB installed don't expect KSS to work because it's a gigantic mod. If you have 8GB or more RAM then you need to install a video card. I'm seeing reference to integrated graphics. But this part may also be of interest to @StarCrusher96- 4,170 replies

[KSP 1.12.1+] Galileo's Planet Pack [v1.6.6] [23 Sept 2021]
JadeOfMaar replied to Galileo's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Someone very wise said that not all SSTOs are spaceplanes. Well.... Here's a nice example. Nothing's coming down to help this thing get back to orbit. The fine patrons of Umbra Space Industries can recognize the goods that make this craft possible. (It might barely be able to SSTO from Kerbin/Gael though... so it mightn't count) (In KSP 1.2.2) Spoiler: That big parachute turned out to be completely useless. And I found this trench in the Nivenean Trench...... Ha ha, guys, Ha ha. (@ other GPP devs)- 7,372 replies

Today I finally wrote the next chapter in my GPP grand tour. (KSP 1.2.2) Niven Ops There was plenty KIS action. A drone plane arrived with two containers for the crew of GPGT Station to hang onto, and some parts to attach and make available right away for later use. And there was plenty rover action. I dropped it into atmosphere because it's an SSTO! It has a chute too, thanks to Ven, but the hot, thin atmo made it useless. And drove 24km to the top (well, one of the tops) of that mountain over there.
-
Niven The KIS Deliverance departs Gael at last, within 30 days of the station's arrival at Niven, and enters the same SOI after around 150 days. It's only at their encounter that some crew are woken from cryosleep: Valentina and Harmund. Harmund takes the two KIS containers and stows them in the convenient service bay behind the cupola (station's bridge), and attaches the delivered scanner parts to the trunk connecting the station's core stack to its ring. No docking was done but instead the Deliverance hovered nearby at < 0.1m/s relative speed. After that craft was dismissed, the station lowered its orbit, then Valentina and Harmund boarded the rover, fixed its wheels and descended. These women went vertical, arresting all horizontal velocity. The rover's VTOL is strong enough that it can ascend, and has the dV with it to SSTO, otherwise it would not be an option for a Niven landing (0.5g ASL). Thanks to Ven, this vehicle now has a parachute that no one knew they needed, so it was put to the test. Sadly, the chute turned out to be completely ineffective due to the very warm and thin atmosphere. A flag was planted at the landing spot and latter on at the edge of what was apparently a trench in a trench... (a valley within the Nivenean Trench biome). They drove roughly 24km to the nearest mountaintop, including a 38° climb in which case they took some help from the rover's horizontal rockets. Once they were up there they rested in the cabin and camped for the night. Nivenean Nights? Yeah. The best part of stargazing was catching Icarus, Grannus and Thalia (from horizon upward) shining very brightly right before sunrise.

[1.3.0] OPT Space Plane v2.0.1 - updated 29/07/2017

@KSPNoob No, there isn't. The H body has very few parts to use. -
[1.5.1] Kerbal Star Systems [v0.8.2] August 18, 2018
JadeOfMaar replied to StarCrusher96's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
In addition @Galileo the shadow caster vector seems way off, like there's a black star somewhere on the ecliptic, controlling all the shadows by itself. I saw an eclipse shadow open up on Otho, expand through it like the fire ring of a nuclear bomb as it detonated, then go all the way over to the far side of Otho and diappear. And moons were blacked out entirely while in front of their parent giant. I think this effect requires just 3 stars in order to be triggered since it happened in my Stock + GPP setup and KSS has many stars.- 4,170 replies

[1.3.0] OPT Space Plane v2.0.1 - updated 29/07/2017
JadeOfMaar replied to K.Yeon's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
@Starwaster @K.Yeon I've already PM'd Stali, asking this but, is there a segment in the J-60 and J-61 configs where I can control the surface EMM texture's brightness. Particularly the long one. I need this texture to look okay like this (as at 1/15 throttle) when it's throttled up basically anywhere useful. And not overexposed like this. -
Last night in KSP I built two SSTOs entirely from OPT parts. The first one is a somewhat replica of a streamer's all-stock SSTO freighter. I didn't go all out on cosmetics but functionally it's very similar. I even made sure it struggles paces slow and steady on ascent like a stock ship, but I forget if it's rated for payloads weighing 50 tons or 110 tons. Mine's rated for 60 tons. The second SSTO is a prototype....... Oh. There was plenty of GPP dev stuff too.
-
I see what you did there. Speaking of, I have things that need to get there and send back pics for posting.
-
Spent my night modding....again... And then I tried to rebuild my lost race car. That didn't turn out well so I built the next car I had planned, a high fidelity F1 racer. Its yaw control is not amazing, and a few little things have been added since this screenshot. But it's a keeper. We're letting Jeb drive. Because reasons...

[KSP 1.12.1+] Galileo's Planet Pack [v1.6.6] [23 Sept 2021]
JadeOfMaar replied to Galileo's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
@Greatness101 With the compatibility I've developed, KSS will need only reposition (if necessary) Ciro. Our stars will even change their names to Kiro and Krannus.- 7,372 replies

There are parts for both orbital and surface colonies: the square-ish parts and just as many cylindrical parts. MKS used to be two separate mods, one for each situation, but they combined a long time ago.
-
Built this a few hours ago, based on a design from way back which was built with Stail class parts. The forward J Service Bay contains Karbonite mining gear. I'd much rather have a tiny rover there. The Mk2 cargo section is currently empty but that doesn't mean the body is very flimsy. It's strutted well. This plane pitches easily, even from the runway for quick liftoff with no fear of tail-strikes. Its yaw is funny but liveable. This is in a refreshed tweaking/modding install of KSP just for resource scanner testing atm so no LS parts here.
-
Thanks for the headsup. I still have likes to give.
-
Lol!
-
...is the mindkiller. Then your planes finish the job?
-
Lol! I'm actually thinking of making a NASCAR-esque dragster now with Mk1 and no Mk2 parts for the body (a more proper-looking F1 racer?). And rebuild a car I made for the kerbal DAKAR in January.

[KSP 1.12.1+] Galileo's Planet Pack [v1.6.6] [23 Sept 2021]
JadeOfMaar replied to Galileo's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
@CatastrophicFailure Oh noes, I say! Well forget about that contract man. Use the debug menu where necessary and move on with your game. Yea, Grannus is a biter. @Galileo knows it, and might have intended it too. I also agree. GPP_CareerSaver should go. With how different GPP is now/coming versus then, things are beyond the scope of that patch.- 7,372 replies
