I definitely prefer 0.25. Especially as the mod Kerbal Construction Time in connection with 0.25s difficulty settings gives me a totally new feeling of KSP (forcing me to decide beforehand whether a flight is a pure simulation run (that accomplishes no contracts) or a real run (risking a rocket that took a long time to build and being non revertable) Can´t do any statements about the plane parts however ... I am more a rocket builder, therefore buiding planes doesn´t have a high priority for me

I lost Bob due to it (while trying to do an EVA in an suborbital flight during the night, having Bob detach from the rocket and then losing my orientation) What happens seems to be a large tendence of the Kerbal to move upwards the ladder and then losing grip after the last rung of the ladder. Usually it seems to help to press S quickly enough (to counter the movement in W-Direction). I think the 1 man capsule is the only one that has this problem

Considering that usually the best ,ethod of getting rid of zombies is decapitation, fire or destruction of the brain, medieval times seem to have been well prepared for Zombie invasions. Swords are a rather good choice for cutting heads ... most polearms of medieval times had blades (cutting heads), spikes (making holes into skulls) or a combination of these (for example Voulge, Bec de Corbin, Halberd). Ranged weapons like bows and crossbows were good at piercing skulls The use of Fire in sieges was common (like firepots getting hurled via catapults, trebuchets) and last but not least you had castles everywhere (which might hold out against most zombies, with exception maybe the zombies of Worldwar Z ). There also were just around 500 million humans on the whole world and there were no means of fast long ranged mass transportation, meaning that the virus (or whatever means the Zombie invasion would be caused by) wouldn´t be able to spread very fast (messages about zombies could be transmitted faster by horse courier from one castle to the next, than the zombies would be able to walk on foot). Perhaps no bad chance for mankind, at least if the survivors discover fast enough, that a wound caused by zombies will lead to a zombification of the victim

Depends on whether it is used on Earth or Duna or Mars
-
We could use the name of the planet to name a chocolate bar But to be more serious: I wouldn´t rule out Terraforming ....the gravity of Mars could hold a more dense atmosphere (and has so, in the past) .... so it might be possible to terrform it in a way that it is dense enough an contains enough O2 to be breathable
-
But only with someone or something that surprises them at the moment they jump out of the window ... as we know from the Hithhikers guide to the galaxy that this is an important prerequisite to miss the ground http://www.extremelysmart.com/humor/howtofly.php

Very useful mod, thanks Looks like exactly something I was looking for .... it makes much more sense to have a build time for rockets ... and the separation of revertable simulated flights and non revertable real flights was actually something I suggested for the KSP main program some time ago, so it is very welcome as well, to have it implemented in form of a mod. Only problem that sporadically appeared is, that it may happen that the "Warp To" function misses its exit point (making the time warp continue running and losing yourself several days of gametime, till you manage to manually stop the time warp)

YOu forget the further step in North Korean propaganda: Mockup is used to produce a Youtube propaganda video with special effects to make it appear as if the mockup is a piece of really working machinery The special effects are so lousy, that only north koreans take the propaganda video for real The international publis laughs at the propaganda video

You can also explore unknown solar systems (and sell the scan data) and do mining (mining is not yet implemented, but will be soon). Or just aimlessly fly around Also, part of contracts an be attacking other ships ... or take part in wars (there are a few conflicts about systems aiming to become independent from the federation rule at the moment) Another thing is, that trading might also include smuggling (as federation, Imperium and Independent systems may have bans on certain types of cargo) I might also add that, in the final release version, exploring could take you a long long way from the systems frequented by other players (if you wish so), as you will have the whole milky way (with 400*10^9 stars) as a playground. Also you might eventually want to choose sides between the major power blocs (i.e. Imperium and Federation)
-
The main objective is, whatever you choose as your main objective .... some may choose to get rich by trading, others to explorer the universe ... and others to get to Elite status by fighting (or combining fighting and grtting rich by becoming pirates )

Congrats ... I´m still flying around with a Hauler .... but a pimped up Hauler that gives you 19 ly jump distance (9 ly full loaded) and has a better energy system and better sensors, as well as 18t cargo space
-
At least spacesuits I hope ... maybe a little bit unhealthy for humans without one
-
You mean with a more legitimate question It is more useful to have aircraft carriers in space in order to project human power into space and conquer the other planets, than to have space shuttles land on aircraft carriers. We´re humans after all .... the race after which the Klingons in Star Trek are modeled
-
As modified as necessary, but still looking like an aircraft carrier Because of those martians. They come with spaceworthy galleys? We come with spaceworthy aircraft carriers. This wil show them our supriority
-
Kerbal experience is the experience of having green skin, being just 1m tall and getting put into a spaceship that someone who (usually) definitely is no rocket scientist created (and, usually, has no means for the rescue of the poor Kerbonaut)
-
If the martians can send a galley into space we should be able to send an aircraft carrier into space

Do you play KSP with the Steam or the KSP Store version?
Godot replied to CaptRobau's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Got it in the KSP store long before it came to Steam. Haven´t seen a reason since then, to migrate KSP to Steam. Steam may be faster with updates, but with installs via KSP Store it is more convenient to have multiple KSP versions next to each other. -
Can I fold ... yes, but not with paper http://folding.stanford.edu/
-
Dunno about kOS .... but in most programming languages the condition that schould be evaluated for an if-statement has to be enclosed in brackets i.e. IF (condition) { ... } similarly for multiple conditions: IF ((condition 1) AND|OR (condition 2) AND|OR ... ) { ... }
-
Those Neurons are me, too, correct. But that also means that "I" cannot choose how those neurons react ... if we can exactly recreate the same conditions (like neuronal setup, neurohumoral levels, environmental cues etc. ) will think the same thoughta and react in the same way. I am, in this case, just a determinist automaton ... albeit a very complex one

Anyone else not really care for the career stuff?
Godot replied to sedativechunk's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I definitely agree about this. Some contracts thould be a little bit more detailed. Instead of "Do science on Mun" (or in orbit around Mun etc. ) we could have "Measure temperature on Mun" (requiring the use of a Thermometer on your probe) or even more specifically: "Do a Mystery Goo test in Farside crater on Mun" Similarly you could have science contracts for specific Biomes on Kerbin. (and if/when separate Biomes get implemented in 0.26 for the other Moons/Planets in the Kerbol system) (Same goes for contracts for manned/unmanned landings and flag planting, which also could better be aimed at specific Biomes rather than just with the planet / moon specified) -

You don´t even care about a safe return of your Kerbals to Kerbin? I definitely wouldn´t want to be a Kerbonaut in your space agency -
Well, according to some neuroscientists free will is the illusion that the brain creates for the consciousness, to let it believe that the decision (to perform an action) was a free decision, and not an automated response of neurons to environmental cues and internal states. (a view more or less supported by PET Scan experiments which showed that the necessary neuron groups (to perform an action) already fired, before the subject made the decision to perform this action)
