  1. Well, what should I do with a female Kerbonaut? Of course the same as with her male ounterparts ... put her into a rocket and hope I designed it good enough that she survives the trip As I guess that Valentina will have a special status like Jeb, Bill and Bob, I will take care of her as I would do with those three ... that is, see her less as a redshirt than other Kerbonauts
  2. Nope never met such a person ... but I am not active in circles of conspiracy theorists ... rather in academic circles, therefore it would have been a surprise for me to encounter someone like this
  3. I never used them ... how extreme are the floodings in the region above the dam?
  4. Paradox have moved their forums to a new board system. Therefore, links to forums threads on the old Paradox forum won´t work anymore. You´ll now find the Cities: Skylines forum here: https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/index.php?forums/cities-skylines.859/
  5. You can install the Steam client on your Sons computer as well. And if you want to stay as legal as possible, you can make an own account for your son and share the game (and other games of your Steam account) with him via family sharing. I don´t know if you both can play the game at the same time, however
  6. Godot

    First Thread?

According to the search my first one was a HelloWorld-Thread
  7. I´d call it more of a successor to Sim City 4 than Sim City 2013. It also has nice ideas that deviate from Sim City. For example Districts ... you paint them onto the map and then can set industrial specialization and special policies for all buildings in thsi district. It also gives you statistics for the district. Or specialized pedestrian walkways ... which you can use to give your citizens easier pedestrian access to several parts of your city, without the need to build roads for this. I use them very often in my cities, as they help to persuade citizens to use their feet instead of their cars Or the ability to buy new parcels of land as your city grows
  8. How long has your ore industry been operating before you looked? The industries only mine the spot directly below them ... this also means that the spot is rapidly exhausted. Afterwards (i.e. when the ore in the sport they are standing on is exhausted) the companies switch to working with imported ore (i.e. if you have no active mines in your city, with ore that comes from other cities) Same goes for the oil industry (also meaning that, in order to totally mine an ore deposit/oil field, you always have to switch and zone new industries (at spots that still have ore/oil). Something I definitely dislike about C:S Addendum: Also, have you painted a new district above the ore deposit and gave it the specialization ore mining? If you haven´t, then the industries you build there will just be normal industries with no connction to mining (same goes for farming, forestry and oil)
  9. I´m definitely jealous You´re living in the right country to see them (both WT as well as Epica) often unfortunately WT don´t tour germany as often (as one could expect from the fact that we´re practicaly european neighbors). Unfortunately those few time that WT were in germany somewhere near, I didn´t have the time to go to their concert. Well, perhaps the next time they are somewhere nar ruhr valley In contrast to this I see Omnia once a year (they are regularly doing gigs at the MPS (Medieval Phantasy Spectaculum)
  10. Well, I am into Symphonic Metal and a little bit into Medieval and Pagan Folk. Favorite bands I guess: Within Temptation, Epica and Omnia With favorite songs: Within Temptation: Too many to count, therefore just 2: and Epica: White Waters ... but alas no Video link, therefore here a Link to which is also greatOmnia: and
  11. One big problem sems to be, that you have 2 crossings with traffic lights close to each other. According to my exprience this always leads to problems with the traffic
  12. One for the beginning without mods ... one for later when I have included all mods that I think to be essential
  13. Leaning towards "it could be more complex" ... after all that´s why I prefer to play the game with Reentry Heat, more realistic aerodynamics, more life support needs as well as more complex telecommunication
  14. Usually each update ... sometimes twice each update ... the first time to test the new features without any mods ... and the second time as soon as all (for me essential ) mods have been updated for the new version
  15. Sir Terry Pratchett, author of the well known Discworld series, has died today at the age of 66, at home and surrounded by his family, with his cat sleeping on his bed. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-31858156 A great loss for the world I hope DEATH welcomed him freindly, as an athropomorphic personification, talking in capitals
  16. That´s actually relatively easy for me .... basically it works like this:
  17. Godot

    Pc vs xbox

My last gaming console was an Atari 2600 ... in the 80s
  18. Also don´t forget to always include references, whenever you take passages/ideas from other papers
  19. The biggest loss he original Enterprise crew has suffered so far ... the biggest loss the original Enterprise crew will ever suffer Oh and I second, third, fourth or whatever the proposal for a memorial for Spock in KSP
  20. He talks about DLCs, not updates ... people who bought KSP before the launch on Steam will receive any future KSP DLCs for free. All others have to pay for them
  21. Often enough ... usually my more advanced mannes spaceships (that get me to Mun and beyond) almost always use it ... my less advanced often use a selfmade LES with a few sepratrons But only in connection with procedural fairings ... so that I can assemble a capsule with a chute on top, then package everything in fairings and mount the LES on top of the fairings (which is actually also the way it was done for Apollo)
  22. Definitely Voyager, because it told us so much about our solar system. Second in place maybe New Horizons ... because we finally will be able to see Yuggoth from near, the home planet of the Mi-Go Either this, or Cassini-Huygens
  23. Should mean that we finally will be able to mount Trebuchets on top of our space stations /ships in space engineers?
  24. Gargantua was great (no surprise, considering the fact that the scientific advisor Kip Thorne thinks it is so realistic that he uses it in one of his new scientific papers ) The story itself had a lot of plot problems, especially with regards to the amount of time dilation at different distances from Gargantua
