  1. @Nertea Have you ever considered adding some SCRAM-jets to NF Aeronautics? Gotta go fast eh
  2. I do love the idea of a large spinny rugby ball planet with obscene size, gravity and axial rotation i guess i’ll play your pack, well... ...one day, after i finally finished all the other ones i’ve queued up, there’s just sooo many good planet packs i still gotta finish
  3. Any chance that you based mesbin off of Novasilisko’s post that mentioned “Mez”which not only sounds similar but is pretty much the same idea? https://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/index.php?/topic/123271-if-you-could-redesignimprove-the-kerbol-system-what-would-you-do/&do=findComment&comment=2235122 like he literally had the same idea in 2015, but you are probably the first to actually go ahead with it, he even complained about the same spherical atmosphere restriction!
  4. while I'm currently doing a stock system + opm playthrough, i'll definitely try doing that next time i'm playing GPP probably will use the BFR capsule/cargo pod from tundra exploration since it has insane heat capacity (8000/10000K!!!) then using a mix of NFaeronotics project eeloo multimode nuclear engines and mk2 expansion scramjets (beats me why NFaero doesn't have SCRAMJETS), optimizing for drag is probably a given, good thing he thick atmosphere generates lots of lift
  5. 100T payload? how are you even getting that to duna? i'm also curious how the fuel BFR's are going to refuel themselves on mars
  6. Oh i'm loving the rodan pod, i'm gonna use them as escape/drop pods on the DSEV i'll build later, having engines, RCS, snack capacity and storage capacity at the same time is great, 3000m/s should be enough for my parachute using "Blue Rodan" Duna excursion and escape vehicles and MAN is the TWR on the rodan crazy, pretty sure you could make an SSTO out of it with enough monoprop tanks on a sidenote, does anyone know how the cargo BFR/BFS is supposed to deploy cargo when it's on the planets surface?
  7. i feel like tellumo would probably get a thousand times easier if we also had SCRAMjets (provided there would be spaceplane parts capable of not disintegrating at mach 5-10 lol
  8. i use contract configurator but that contract seemed to be from pathfinder itself
  9. basically divide the amount of a set resource in the tank and divide by the amount in the wilbluetools/templates folder (with subfolder /common/storage for stock KSP resources) for a pure liquidfuel tank you divide the amount of LF by 1800 (refernce capacityfactor 1 amount) for a LFOX tank you divide the amount of LF by 810 or the amount of OX by 990 or literally just take the total count divided by 1800, it doesn't really matter basically just look at the resource template and divide the amount of the resource that tank can carry by the number in the matching resource template basically: resource capacity of tank of set resource divided by set resource amount found in the corresponding template in essence if you have a tank that can carry X amount of resource R, divide by the amount of said resource that is found in the template of said resource set basically: STORAGE_TEMPLATE { name = LFO author = Angel-125 shortName = LFO logoPanel = WildBlueIndustries/000WildBlueTools/Decals/LFO glowPanel = WildBlueIndustries/000WildBlueTools/Decals/LFOGlow description = This kit stores LiquidFuel and Oxidizer, propellants for rockets. templateTags = stowage RESOURCE { name = LiquidFuel amount = 810 maxAmount = 810 } RESOURCE { name = Oxidizer amount = 990 maxAmount = 990 } } this is the template for LFO mix, in order to find out the capacityfactor of the tank you want to have WBIstorage for you divide the amount of either resource that the tank carries by the amount of said resource in the template as in, if your tank carries 8100LF and 9900OX you divide the tanks 8100LF by the templates 810LF which nets you a capacityfactor of 8100/810=10 does this do it for you or is my explanation unclear? Oh and don't worry about it,i just wanted to make my BFR's actually work without cheats because evidentially having only 4500Dv was pretty bad lol, i'm no stranger to config editing shenanigans (used to do LOTS of that when i played modded minecraft, oh god the manual item ID's were the worst) :p
  10. @damonvv what i'm saying is that your MM patch for pathfinder is using incorrect values, here's what i think is off: well take the big bfr tank as a reference by default it stores 53460LF and 65340OX now to the WBI convertable storage which uses a set of templates (sotred in the wildbluetools/templates folder) for LFOX this template is: which it uses as the basis for storage space, which for LFOX is 810 lf and 990 ox now as to what is wrong in your included pathfinder patch, we'll take a look at the configs for the WBI M.O.L.E titan storage tanks; for the titan 1800 which carries 1800 units of LFOX or ore for example: now as seen above the amount of LF and OX it can store is the exact same as the amounts on the LFOX template, it also has a capacityFactor of 1 (this is important) now the half as big titan 900 (aptly named eh) has this for it's config: now here you notice how the LF and OX amounts are half that of the titan 1800 and the titan 900 has capacityFactor = 0.5 which is ALSO half that of the titan 1800 Conclusion: the capacityfactor dictates the amount of storage capacity a tank has by multiplying itself by the value dictated by the templates SO what's the deal with your pathfinder patch then? well at the beginning we took the BFR-9000 tank as reference and well, here's your pacth for it; capacityFactor = 21.214 which is wrong because if we multiply the template numbers by this capacityfactor we get: LF 810 * 21.214 which is a dreadful 17183.34 units of LF compared to the 53460 units it should be able to store, and for oxidizer this is: OX 990 * 21.214 which is 21001.86, again FAR lower than the 65340 units of OX it SHOULD be able to store The RIGHT capacityfactor would be 53460/810 = 66 this means with the patch you have made, the tanks store THREE TIMES LESS FUEL than they actually should when pathfinder is installed i'll ping @Angel-125 here to see if my logic here is correct i'll quickly boot up my game to see if changing the capacityfactors to the correct values will fix the issue, could post the fixed patch after i get some sleep because it's literally 1:10 AM for me as i'm posting this UPDATE: yes, yes it does, now i can actually BFR properly instead of like having to deal with tanks that carry only a third the amount of fuel they are supposed to in the spoiler under here is my edited version of your ExtraPathfinder.cfg: this fixes the fuel values to the ones that are found in the Extra_ResourceDefaults.cfg file which i assume are the correct amounts
  11. gonna check out wheter the tanks have correct fuel capacity without the pathfinder patch now kinda explains all the issues i've been having with the BFR's not having enough delta V for even basic mun landings most of the time when the maximum fuel they can carry is like less than half of what they SHOULD be carrying
  12. @damonvv for some reason ALL my tundra fuel tanks have absolutely abysimal fuel-mass ratios (newest official version that still uses the 2017 BFR), a smaller upscaled flt400 has like DOUBLE the fuel capacity than the shielded BFR upper stage tank, any idea what could be causing that? oh god it's even worse than i thought, the shielded BFR tanks has barely more carry capacity than the stock jumbo 64 which is shorter and HALF the width i do use pathfinder and such so maybe the MM patches are making my tanks useless?
  13. make sure you do a clean install, that said it might still not fix it for you, i had to revert to a previous version (backup) earlier because i couldn't get it to work after re installing it like 4 times and such
  14. the BFS heavy on a return trajectory carrying over a million funds worth of blutonium :p
  15. 5m is big enough for a BFS they said, no one needs more than a BFS they said.... WELL WHAT ABOUT NOW HUH?
  16. Wow, okay, i guess if those parts on the right are your standards i can sort of understand why you'd say they're not up to your standards still, the parts on the left are lightyears ahead of the KSPI alternative, the newer parts are just... incomprehensibly well detailed for something you aren't even getting paid for to make
  17. welp, i guess my install must be haunted, it is spooktober after all
  18. are there any compatabillity patches for IE that would allow kerbal atomics to work correctly? does the cryogenic engines mod require one?
  19. i don't think the one with the port was visible in the tech tree but it was visible and usable in the pathfinder parts tab in the VAB
  20. OH BLESS THE KRAKEN! reverting to my "backup"' which had the previous versions of pathfinder and MOLE got me the configurable storage functionallity back i'll never know what caused it to break in the first place, nor why re-installing the older version didn't work either i'll just blame it on typical electronics shenanigans then... on another note, why are there two hogan's? one is 6.5 tonnes with a TON of snacks while the other is 0.1t but has a port on it i guess i'll have to live with a broken buckboard, but meh, there's other options for resource storage regardless oh and ehh, how does the old faithfull work? does it require water to run and if so, what happens to said water? ...i need to stop asking so many questions in one post but still, what does the buffalo bulldozer do and how does it work?
