  1. Welcome to the forums @SuperHammy3! I haven't even tried to get 1.3.1 to work. Still trying to run on 1.2.2, but all the new parts for @Angel-125 's Pathfinder mod and @Nils277 's KPBS are making me drool.
  2. I don't think it should be tidally locked. More like Mercury, which is close to being tidally locked. In addition, I think an on-rails quasi-satellite of one of the bodies would be cool, kind of like 3753 Cruithne An additional gas giant somewhere. Hmm, thats got me thinking. Hot Jool anyone? A trojan body, either of Tylo, or Duna
  3. @CobaltWolf I have been working on designing a replica of the Apollo CSM recently, and I was curious, where are you getting your dimensions for the parts? I can't find them anywhere. My progress so far.
  4. Thanks for the help on the dimensions. Printed out the semi-final product today. Really just an early rendition, as it is pretty basic.
  5. Welcome back to SPE. I love the mod, been waiting for it to update so I could move to 1.3 without losing stuff.
  6. I was just reading about how NASA is planning a test run of some initial planetary asteroid defense systems, and I saw a link to the DART system. In that article, it mentions that nuking an asteroid would be a bad thing. The only reason I have heard for not nuking asteroids is that it creates a lot of smaller asteroids. But, here's the thing, those smaller asteroids are more likely to burn up in the atmosphere than the one giant one is. So why isn't blowing up the asteroid an option? 7. That looks great. The Russian flag would have been funny though.
  8. I didn't either, but I went and looked it up. Also found that you can apply a superscript directly to a subscript in the forum textbox, which Microsoft word can't do and is incredibly irritating.
  9. That looks like a Dz2 atomic orbital. Not ORBIT though.
  10. I purchased KSP in December of 2016, and have been playing it off and on ever since. However, due to a couple of rules I imposed on myself, as well as a lack of patience, I have never been interplanetary. Well, earlier this week one of my friends found that out, and began pestering me to go interplanetary. I gave in, and the result is what you see here. I present to you The oh so creatively named Duna I mission, my first interplanetary mission. https://imgur.com/a/6kwXP
  11. When you are looking at your pictures in Imgur, right click on the one you want to add, and click "copy image address". Then go to your post and paste the link. It will show up as a link for a second, then the forum will automatically embed the pictures. By the way, congrats on launching your first interplanetary mission. I have never done one, but one of my friends, who is a KSP veteran, has twisted my arm into doing it. Should be posted sometime this weekend.
  12. Beyond picking your landing location more easily, no there really isn't much reason too, though I think it might save some DeltaV. However, on tidally locked bodies like the Mun, I am not sure if you could land on the opposite side without orbiting. Someone should probably fact check me on that though.
  13. I am just going to go out on a limb and say that either you need a more powerful computer, or fewer mods. But that is my uneducated guess that should be taken with a grain of salt.
  14. I just installed some various visual mods, and when I booted up my KSP install (which is 1.2.2, btw), all atmospheric planets were replaced by a black sphere. The mods I installed Scatterer E.V.E. S.V.E D.O.E Planetshine plus required dependencies
  15. Yes, it's the one with four or six docking ports, can't quite remember, but it doesn't matter, you didn't actually dock to it.
  16. I like to hear that my docking arm is getting used! never mind, not the docking arm I was thinking of
  17. I just got a new computer that can handle heavy visual mods, and I was wondering, what is the best combination of visual mods? If anyone could point me to the best ones, or a thread were this is discussed, that would be great.
  18. So I am a TA for my first period, and the teacher in this class starts off the day with an aircraft on the board for the students to guess. Today, though, he really impressed me with this I never would have thought I would see a stratolauncher on the board.
