For KSP on the console, it does not work with an external keyboard, regardless of what type of keyboard it is. It is not a bug or issue, the developers have just completely disabled external keyboard input into the game.

I've just noticed something: I can follow some users, but I can't follow others. Like the Follow Member thing is there for most users, but it's not there for others. Why is this?

You have not installed it correctly. For nearly every mod, you do not put the contents of the gamedata in the gamedata folder. You just copy the BDArmory folder and put it in the GameData of KSP. Otherwise, you can break mods.

Ever heard of #StarMods? It's a thing where SQUAD highlights mods made by the community. So I don't know what you mean by "not supporting a modding community"
