@akron Without a doubt, RL comes first. We hope all is well, or will become so! Love that Cassini teaser!

@bcink was so generous in bringing this mod to life, so I am showing my appreciation. Here is a shot of the Jimee Kerbb Smexy Telemaskohp I, with assorted-yet-functional greeblies. Blue tinge on the mirror array being caused by Planetshine. Unnecessary pokey bits are a Pico Plus docking port onna-stick, ProbesPlus RTG recycled from a slightly foxed Queztal probe, and other ProbesPlus control, electrical and science bits (because there was open space that was crying to be filled... just the tip, mind, and only for a minute).

Even if you don't add it, I am still devouring the visuals with my eyes.

@bcink does the option exist to enable reflections on the heatshield layers?

[1.3.1, 1.4.3] The Spice v0.8.2 [May 10, 2018]
MaeharaProjekt replied to JadeOfMaar's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I fully intend to build a Guild Heighliner using bits from this mod. I will name it with something totally inappropriate. "Fish Speaker Stick," or maybe "Paul's Little Mouse."- 101 replies

Huminahuminahumina. I love all the detail you've allowed to us preview of your work so far. Your rendition of the JWST is a looker!

Pretty much picked my lower jaw and reattached it with space tape and thermometer hinges. @Shadowmage, your work makes me giddy and maybe even a little breathless. Wow. Just... yeah. Wow. Thank you!

This is my opinion and I could barking up the wrong tree, on the wrong planet! I don't know him and this is purely my own interpretation of what I've read, so please take it with a grain of salt. I like raidernick's mods a lot and it would awesome if he has something new in the works, but it feels like he is, perhaps, done with us. Given some of the comments in his threads by other members of the community, I would not find fault with such a decision. Like any mod dev, he shared with us the fruits of his labor and creativity. It seems as if a few others do not appreciate this and act like he owes them. Again, this my perception of what I've read and I could be talking out of my excrement vent hole. Moving on... You do have a lot of options available even if raidernick never starts a new mod or add modern rockets to this one. I have been using Shadowmage's SSTU to build clones of more recent US launch vehicles. Hraban's Contares has helped me pretend I'm a rocket engineer for KAXA, helping teenage kerbals of the robot club at Kanegashima High School put their experimental robots in Kerbin orbit on top of a Kitsubishi H-IIB stack. <cough>roboticsnotes<cough> Contares also has US launchers and many, many others. I think there are at least three mods that focus only on the SLS. Or was it two? Whatever. If you're comfy flying with several different mods in your game, its possible to build quite the inventory of real world rockets. Historical, modern, proposals, or something from a sketch that was drawn on a napkin at the "hidden" Denny's restaurant on Mathilda Ave, near NASA Ames.

I do enjoy reading about your progress and even seeing the wireframes. Given that I had a lot of fun using your Rocket Factory mod, I am reasonably certain that STS Avalon will be a joy to use. But, more to the point, it's ready when you say it is and we should all respect your decision. When you release it, I shall cackle with glee as my Kerbals perish by the hundr... uh... bravely push the limits of these parts on a mission to Duna, or the other planets.

@RealGecko Thanks to you both! I'm gonna use @TheProtagonists 's patch to immediately get my new orbital kapsule motel going. I'm shooting for negative reviews on Kelp, Ekkspedia, and Kerbyak.
-
SSTU is smexy and I love using it. The glass and insert-alloy-here frog terrariums from the mods that @RealGecko so kindly collected together in Orbital Colony lend themselves to space habitats in a style that would mesh with my dark fascination of superdeformed Gundam, but before the UC era and the advent of mobile suits.
-
Thank you for the information! I do need to learn how to make my own patches, so I might as well use Orbital Colony to do it.
-
@RealGecko, firstly, awesome adaptation of CivPop and the other mods! I can't wait to offer up hundreds of our favorite little green people, in one go, to the mighty Krake.... er.... give Kerbals a lovely home in space. If I missed it, I apologize, but does this work with Snacks?

[1.12.x] Near Future Technologies (September 6)
MaeharaProjekt replied to Nertea's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
@Nertea Thank you for sharing your awesome mods, and your latest improvements, with us! Your electric propulsion systems have been particularly fun and useful; however, I have found uses for pretty much your entire Near Future series! -
Superluminal - WIP Video Update #2
MaeharaProjekt replied to Stevie_D's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
@Stevie_D this is a bit of a follow-on from @hypervelocity's comment. I am also very much liking your textures and the yellow stripes. Having the option to choose different stripe colors would be cool for RP, if only to more easily tell spacecraft of the same base class apart from each other, visually. For example; Jeb and Bob get themselves stuck in Mun orbit having run out of fuel while playing "lasertag" in two different space buses and Val has to rescue them in her own space bus. Val is understandably peed-off because she was sipping a mojito and reading the latest Kane's Defense Weekly while taking a micro-G bubblesloshbath on the Mun Station. Jeb has been picking his, um, nose?, and babbling at Val non-stop on the radio because he's missing KSI: Island Airport. Naturally, Val changes her mind and chooses to rescue only Bob, but since she couldn't tell their space buses apart, she leaves them both where she found them and goes back to the Mun Station to have three more mojitos, another bubblesloshbath, and reads Kosmopolitan all the way through. -
Superluminal - WIP Video Update #2
MaeharaProjekt replied to Stevie_D's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
Oh my. I eagerly await the chance to use these parts to boldly send Akira Kerhara to go, screaming in terror, where even Jeb refuses to go, even when stoned out of his green gourd on liquid fuel fumes, keyote, and mystery goo.
