  1. I am using KSP 1.3 with the RemoteTech 1.3 support, I have added it with CKAN as I have done with most of the mods seeing as I am using 100+ so it easier to keep track of them. I am seeking to add support for the HG-5B antenna to Remote Tech, which it seems to be lacking said support as shown in the photo below. it is the same as it says in its description as the HG-5 Antenna, but it just lacks the unfolding animation. I am trying to make a sleek Satellite and I would like to add the stats for the Hg-5 to it <image below> This should be as simple and copying and pasting the configs for the HG-5 and putting it into the slot for the HG-5B but I do not know which Config to look in or which antenna it would be since they sometimes have different names as apposed to the models and titles in game. Any help is apprenticed thank you. Necro
  2. I mean all mods seem to server a purpose, most of the time people are making them for themselves to fill a niche that they feel they want, need, or is missing. So to each there own I would say. I lean more towards Kerbalisim and DeepFreeze and TAC Life Support Myself I enjoy consequences of life. @Dman979 Thanks mate and I am glad to be aboard now if I can just make myself not look so dumb using RemoteTech ... and I agree a matter of opinion or more so it should be a value of 'Personal Preference. You can come and watch me from 6pm - 10pm being stupid in KSP if anyone wants haha <Shameless self promotion.>

  4. AHHH I see that makes sense, luckily my Windows 10 is linked to my Windows Account which can be used to restore the 'Product Key' for free to new hardware
  5. Yea... I am tech savvy and smart... just not that tech savvy and smart. Everyone seems to say Linux is the way to go for KSP tho... I am not sure why, maybe someone could enlighten me on that.
  6. I have too many hahaha but I think after my last few streams it has gone well. The loading time still is around 15 mins but from what I can gather from the wealth of people coming in, it seems pretty average. As for what I have installed I think that I posted the Photo and KSP-AVC print out of my mod list hahah. Hey Moderate thanks for joining the topic after I moved over to my older SSD for KSP alone, stock was blazing fast to load. 1 min would be a modest number if I recall. For how many mods? I am pushing about 120 define heavy haha. like I just mentioned to @thekspbegginer I am pushing like 120, several parts mods and a hand full of quality of life mods, and some 'Consequence Realism Mods' Hey everyone thanks again for adding to the topic and discussing it. if anyone has tricks or hardware they would suggest that could speed up times feel free to drop it I am always open to learning new things. I do not need to for for GL or DX tho. If my research was correct since I am launching in the 64 bit I should not need those string modifiers. Thanks all you beautiful people.
  7. I cannot believe I over looked this. I will have to take a gander in those areas and and try out a test Career and see if I can find them. I wonder if they do not show up until you have unlocked the tech node, similar to like an upgrade. Hmmmm
  8. So, I come here again seeking answers to what I would assume is a simple question. I am streaming a heavily Modded series, I do posses the means to add them to the Extended CTT, but my question is. Does Procedural Dynamics or B9 Procedural Wings exists in the standard Tech Tree in Career. I would assume not since I have not seen them, but I can be blind at times. If they are added to a Vanilla Tech Node, or a CTT node do they cost money based on size of the wing? Similar to how TweakScale has a price point that is adjusted based on scale? I do understand how to add the wings to the CTT but not sure about the Vanilla if they even could be, next and final question. If they do not have a scaling price metric based on shape and size of wing. Any idea how to put one in to make it not feel 'cheaty' yet fair? Thanks to any insight or answers from any and all that can give me a hand. Necro

  10. 10/10 will explode again, as for my loading time it took a total of 2 mins for the game to actually open and then 13 mins and 13 seconds to fully load the game with a set of 112 KSP-AVC recognized mods. GameData Folder and what KSP-AVC reads out So with the SSD I have, tho dated, it seemed to help but I still feel like that is a little long? I also had to basically use all CKAN to install basically every mod... because I do not know for some reason I was unable to get them all to play well together.... -3- If any one has advice on that I am all ears haha.
  11. CKAN Seems to have a 1.3 of this and it is functional I can attest to that. As for my question from an experienced user. I am starting a Career Series, and I have dug around and I cannot find the Proc wing by bac9 or Crzyrndm in the Stock Tech Tree or in the CTT. Am I just missing it or will I need to add the parts with a patch?

  13. I would recommend CKAN for a new mod user, it handles the installs and such for you. However, there are a few mods that do not use it and that is up to them, it is their works and free will. The suggestions everyone has added above are pretty spot on as to what to do.I would add some things of advice for you. If it has a spacedock page, go and follow it. SpaceDock Always go and red the last few posts on a mod forum and check to see if it has been updated or changed hands. finally, and I find this one to be the most helpful, Most moddevs prepackage their mods Dependencies Mods, be sure to check and see if those are the most up to date versions. This can be a hassle (hoff). It will make your life much easier. NOTE: on the last one, be sure to check that the Dependency Mod Folders match what you might already have in the game. Key thing to look for would be 'Resource' folders that are in the downloaded mod vs what you have in your GameData already. Coming from the area of modding for Minecraft and installing them for a long time it was pretty simple to pick up the adding of mods for KSP tho it can be confusing with so many mods packaging parent or dependency mods, etc. Just never be afraid to ask questions and always try your best to research Walkthroughs and Videos and watch and read more then one. If the more things that you see that seem like they are being repeated would usually indicate it is a patter, in KSP at least, that is best to be followed.
  14. Well I have changed up and added my 80Gb SSD and it is dedicated to KSP alone. I have new problems now hahaha CKAn is being strange and I am having issues sorting and keeping track of what I have and what Versions and I am usually pretty organized... I need like a Helper that can manage the mods and make it work, then I can just stream it and give credit where it is due for my incompetence and play KSP Modded on stream for everyone... and speaking of stream... I gotta go haha about to start it up.
  15. Greetings everyone! My name is Grand-Necrologist Zein but just call me Necro or Zein, This is a pretty off but on topic post. Mods, if I am not allowed to post this, well er... crap, just delete this and we will act like this never happened... haha Ahem, anyways as my 'Rank' states, I am a twitch streamer, and I just wrapped up my Hollow Knight Blind Play through which means tonight, at 6pm EST I start KSP. I was going to do a Mod Pack but it looks like I will be having to play Vanilla for now while I work on getting this Mod Pack to work. Hey, if you are good at sorting and setting up a nice quantity of mods and making them play nice with the 1.3 build of KSP. hit me up baby because I am DYING over here. ... yeah so, ahahaha tonight we start the KSP movement on the channel stop over and say hello, stop in here and say hello, you know just be social I am a pretty nice dude haha. I will need all the help I can get tho that is for sure. Come Say Hello and Feed me Pizza I will love you forever. So, hello I have been playing modded for a few months now, I have run into a few issues here an there but I have mostly been able to get past them. 1. dialogueplntxt - Or a very close iteration of that come up when I launch KSP. I am really just curious on why, it does not show up in non modded, the moment I drop in the mods it shows there. I was wondering why that is, and does it mean I have done something wrong. 2. The Blank Screen - Alright this one is new and I have no clue why or what happened I have tried removing things to see what is causing it and I am at the point where I have a list of mods that worked in another GameData Folder, but not in this one. SO, here is what happens, THIS IS NOT A CRASH I need to stress that, there is no crash log. the game loads, it patches, it come ups to main menu. I select the format I want to play in. It loads, then it just keeps loading. and loading. and loading. and loading. It sits at a blank screen with the loading animation in the lower right corner. I can move the mouse, I can click everywhere. When I click it turns green like it should to show the button you are clicking. The one interesting thing that happens is, it will show the RemoteTech mod popup window, that explains what to use RT for and how to change it, etc. Then when I close that, we get the blank loading screen. I am not sure why.... It is running in the 64-bit client, I am testing a fresh install with some things removed, (Visual Enhancement Wise) to see if it is a texture loading issue. if you need any other information, obviously ask I will provide what ever I can. (Update: As I am about to post this, I got it to work. I removed Kopernicus and all Visual Enchantment Mods... Will try slipping Kopern Back in and see if it changes the game still would like a plausible explanation so I can self Diagnose next time more effectively)
  17. I see, that is okay the CTT is a Mod Dev Voluntary base anyways. I have been having issues getting the Mod Pack I want to run, I was up for 14 hours trying things... so I am going to try again today before I cry for help. So I will ask this way, without the CTT if I add your mod to a Career game would everything be spaced in the Tech nodes or would they be lost to me without being in Sandbox? again I know, dumb question but I am not sure if mods get auto tech's by the KSP Client or if the Devs, such as yourself, have to write it into the mod itself.   18. @blackheart612 I love everything I have seen from the Videos and from the photos, I am currently build a KSP Pack for my Twitch series starting tomorrow... so I am in a little of a time crunch I am curious, does this have the Community Tech Tree Support? I looked through the files and wasn't able to pinpoint a .cfg for it. I would assume not, in that case but, however I could have missed it or it could be somewhere in the code that I do not know about. Apologies for the simple yet bothersome question, I am not sure how the KSP or the CCT handles parts for Career/Science when gating parts... something I should look into I guess.   19. Ah that makes sense I thought that is what you were intending Currently I am sitting with a Hybrid Drive as I mentioned above, it is the mix of SSD and HDD it is around 500Gb. I do have an old Intel SSD 320 Series that is 80Gb. Do you think that would suffice to manage the KSP and KSP-Mods? I might have to just throw it in and check the loading times. I do notice that it throttles my AMD <saying that makes me sick> FX-8350 cpu. I do not wish to put much more into this PC tho, it is an old board about 4-5 years old, a gigabyte ga-78lmt-usb3 for those who are curious about it. I am only sitting with 16Gb Ninja DDR3 ram. I do not plan on doing much more to this rig aside from getting 32 Gb DDR3 RAM and probably a Liquid CPU Cooling unit so I can OC the CPU. Then we start the Mega Build with the new AUROS x Series MB and a AUROS 1080 Ti Founders Edition Streaming Gaming Rig to set me for the foreseeable future, and I will hand this rig down to my lady. See I do not crash, I sit at this Boot Screen for a while where it is 'Black' and has the loading bar halfway filled with some kind of Text in it. Then it finally moves to the SQUAD Loading start up, then after it runs all the folders we get to the 30,000+ MM Patches, then the MM overlay gets really wonky and we finally load the game. Even still in the game I have been seeing lagy Screen Transitions form say the VAB to the Launch Pad and from the SPH to the Runway. something close to a solid 1-3 min waits... sigh A side note in this discussion that I figured I would ask, Does anyone else have Filters Doubling when they are in the VAB/SPH? I will get a screen shot here shortly but I mean, I think I have a double LifeSupport Tab, and some other Tabs too, I think KIS is another one. Is that normal? or did I make a Kerbal Blunder Somewhere along the Road?

  23. Sorry everyone I was not updated that so many replied hahah, then again I am just waking up too. I have an AMD FX-8350 Black Edition 4.0GHz 8-core CPU...I wonder why my game is so slow to load then.... hmmmm The game Runs on a Hybrid Card HDD/SSD. I am using basically everything that @Galileo has made in my game visual enhancement wise. SDD? sorry I am not sure if you are mentioning a specific acronym, or meaning SSD SolidStateDrtive. I will have to look into the process of replacing texture, but however I do enjoy a good deal of the textures that Mod Devs use haha. As for removing parts I would just assume that I can hop into the parts folder and just delete the corresponding files?
  24. okay that makes sense I will need to go into the Kopernicus thread and research how well it works with Research Bodies then. From a consumer perspective I would not see that it could be too difficult to make said mods work with each other. At that point it really just comes down to what the mod devs, you etc. really wants to do a do and feels like doing. As for an in a nutshell description of RB, you probably know now but for those who read that don't know, it just adds "Gated Planet Travel. You need to 'Discover' the planets with Telescopes and the 'Observatory' Research building added with the mod. Thanks for the timely reply @ProtoJeb21 Good luck on your System creating adventures.
  25. PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT A THREAD TO COMPLAIN TAKE IT ELSE WHERE THANK YOU So I am sitting here watching my modded KSP load and I wait patiently. I sit here and I wonder, what is the average time that everyone else waits for their client to load up? I am sitting pretty with about 106 some items in my GameData Folder. I usually wait for around, 30 mins for the game to load. What is the average wait time for you? By you I mean anyone that is taking the time to read this? I have a pretty modest gaming rig, I have an FX 8-core AMD processor, a dated Gigabyte Motherboard, 16 Gb of DDR3 Ram, and a Shiny New STRIX GTX 1060OC. I have thought about trimming my Mod Files, I am looking to make a Extensive Play-through Series. I will share what my GameData (see spoiler for link) Folder looks like, if anyone has some pro tips or what not, let me know.
