T4 Tech Tree
Jeb, The Lonely Kerbonaut replied to The Man Myth and Legend's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Well, for me all the tier 4 nodes are important, but the most important nodes in my opinion are: Basic Science: Unlock the Science Jr., a great way to get very science, the Stayputnik, to make unmanned missions, but don't have SAS, the Z-100 battery, to prolongate the util time of your mission, and the High Gain Antenna, to start your communications network (needed to control your ship in places distants from Kerbin). Flight Control: Unlock a reaction wheel and some winglets to help in the control of your ship. Advanced Rocketry: Unlock a new fuel tank and 2 new engines, usefuls to a rocket that goes to the Kerbin's orbit, and maybe beyond. I hope that my tip will help you. Bye! -
Structural parts (except the struts, the adapters and the launch clamps), Mark 3 parts, Mark 2 rocket fuel tanks, the largest RGU, the Stayputnik, the 1.25M lander can, the 3.5M and the 0.625M heat shields, the torododial (i think that this is the right name) and the xenon tanks, the ore tanks, the Vector, the Rhino, the Ant, the Reliant, the LV-N, the Ion and the aerospike engines, the vermors, the smallest reaction wheel, the biggest decouplers, all the separators, the smallest and the biggest docking ports, the 3.5M farning, almost all the cargo bays, some aerodinamic parts, like some elevons and delta wings, the fuel cells, the unretractable solar panels, the best antennas and the relay antennas (i'm too lazy to make a complete relay network, so i disable the Commnet in the settings), the narrow-band scanners, the mining parts, the ISRU's, the biggest rover wheel, the biggest landing gears, the biggest landing legs, the crew cabins and the 1.25M drouge chute. Sorry for the long text.

Today, i uprgaded the SPH in my carrer save to level 3. With that, my SPH now have 3 new buildings/KSC biomes. With this in mind, i launched a rover to pick all the science of these buildings. With the science, i unlocked my first 1000 science node in the tech tree. In the VAB, i build a rocket for my unmanned scientific Laythe mission (i will post a image when i launch the rocket). And to help me in this mission, i downloaded the Trajectories mod, that will be very useful in the part of landing. -

Whats the hardest thing to do in KSP?

Docking. Is so hard for me that i installed Mechjeb just to dock for me. -
My problem with bases.
Jeb, The Lonely Kerbonaut replied to Jeb, The Lonely Kerbonaut's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I'm making that, and it's working! -
So, i'm trying to make a Mun base. But i'm having i big problem with the question of assembling of the parts. My plan is make a rover to assemble the parts. I build the prototipe of the rover, but i'm can't dock with the parts without using brute force. Align the docking ports of the modules of the base with the docking port of the assembler rover will need of a really lot of tests. And when i dock with some module, when i retract the landing legs of the module, the weight of the module make the rover topple, and drive the rover with some module with the landing legs extended will be a very long mission. So, if you have a opinion about how i can fix that problem, post here.

I use a flamethrower and i reduce the skeletons to ashes. I have special radiation-proof clothes, so i can rule without problems. The ENRH now is the RJH (Republic Jebalistic of the Hill).

Climb the Olimpius Mons, and do a base jump over there. Steal the Viking 1. Dive with my rover into Valles Marineris Collect a bit of the water that flows in some points of Mars, and drink. Drive in a sandstorm. Give over martian rocks. Try to find extra-terrestrial life. Try to see the Earth with a telescope. Try to see some probes orbiting Mars, like the MRO. Plant potatos in the martian soil. See the stars. Hear some music Make some vlogs (If have wi-fi there) Play KSP an do my mission to Mars in RSS/RO. And a lot of other things.

Today, i made some tests to see how will it be my scientific Mun base. I decided to make this base because my scientific station around Kerbin, "Skylab", was not doing some much science like before. So a launch a ship, transfered the crew of Skylab, de-orbited the station, and brought the crew back to Kerbin. This will be my first base in the game, so i have to make very tests, since the design of base to the rockets that will transport the modules. But i already planned how the base will be. The base will be organized in 4 modules: The main module, with a lab to extract the maximum of science. The mining/fuel deposit module, with a ISRU to change the ore into fuel to the fuel deposit. The habitation module, with a Hitchkiner Container (i think that's the name, i'm not playing KSP now). And the power module, with some Gigantors to handle the mining operation. And i will make a rover to put together the modules and to explore and bring the science from Mun and process with the lab. So, i will make more tests later. Wish me luck! And if you want, you can give me some tips. And sorry for my long text. -

I made some tests for my first Jool mission. I put the transfer stage with the main ship in orbit using the cheats, and i made a Homman transfer to Jool, a mid-course maneuver to get a Tylo encounter, and a correction maneuver to use the Tylo encounter to put me in orbit of Jool. The maneuver was a sucess, i passed very close to Tylo (13 Km) and very fast (5.5 Km/s), but without problems. I entered in orbit of Jool, went to the Tracking Station, and i warped until a another Tylo encounter appear. But i warped too fast, and i don't knew that the encounter would put me in a escape trajectory of Jool. When i see, it was too late. So i lost the ship. But the mission was a sucess to go to Jool. Now i just need a lifter to put the transfer stage with the main ship in orbit. Anybody here have a lifter that put about 30 tons to LKO? -

In the last times i was seeing the easter eggs in the game, and i noticied some things that can be improved in this area, in my personal opinion 1-The easter eggs on Kerbin: There some easter eggs that have to be replaced (like the monolit in a mountain near KSC that is in the underground in the default terrain configurations), and the Island Airfield could be buyed and make part of KSC, and could be evolved with much money, an turned into a second runway, where you can launch planes. 2-The easter eggs in Mun: The Mun arch could be bigger in my opinion, and the Neil Armstrong memorial could be redone, smaller and with a good detalied Lunar Module. 3-The Mohole: The Mohole could be bigger, less tapering and less bugged (in the @Matt Lowne Mohole base video a report inside the Mohole sayed that the ship was in the south pole of Moho, and the Mohole is in the north pole. 4-Easter eggs in Duna: The face on Duna could have a own biome, with own reports. I even imagined a EVA report in the face: "You see a kerbal face in the rock, and you start to think if the trip don't let your brain crazy." The Curiosity camera could be in the ground, and could even be replaced with a complete real-scale Curiosity. 5-The dead Kraken in Bop: The dead Kraken could be bigger, with the 2 eyes in his face, lying, and not dead, but just sleepening 6-Easter eggs in general: The easter eggs could be in every planet and moon, and could exists a purpose to visit they, like a contract to explore the easter eggs when they are only a anomally in the Kerbnet, or a reward for discovering they, like when you discover the Island Airfield. 7-Easter eggs that could be in the game again: All of the easter eggs that was removed, like the SSTV Signal Piramid in Duna, or the Carl Sagan face. And for you, what can be improved in the easter eggs?

I made some things. In my carrer save, i launched a scientific unmanned mission to Ike. I landed with sucess, in the (probaly) highest peak of Ike, 10.4 Km above the sea level. But i could fix some things in the mission. First, i forgot to bring some experiments. Second, i bring a spectro-fluid variometer, that don't have any utillity in Ike. And third, i expected landing and get a good view of Duna, but i discovered that Ike is tidally locked with Duna, and i landed in the side that Duna don't appear. Also today i installed Hyperedit, to make some tests in my sandbox save. I put the gravity of Kerbin and a atmosphere in Gilly and i teleported to the second space center easter egg. And i tried to visit the UFO in the north pole and the desert temple, but without sucess. And for some unknow motive, the lander editor button in Hyperedit is not responding to my clicks.
