Brainlord’s Petition to Change the EULA
Kernel Kraken replied to Brainlord Mesomorph's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Holy crap, (not being sarcastic) thanks for pointing this out. I just don't like people who try to go slightly off topic and start a flamewar. I still think this is a petition thread and not a 'lets debate about the EULA and argue about spyware' thread. Thanks though, I try to avoid over- doing my opinions to the point of being a conspiracy theorist... See this XKCD comic: https://xkcd.com/258/ I just realized I'm digging myself in a deeper hole, I'll stop typing now.- 180 replies

Have y'all seem the Ready Player One trailer? They're replacing the first 'challenge' and gate with a car race. WHAT THE HECK?! And the character Aech is a HUMAN, not a flippin' SUPER MUTANT! (proceeds to punch Stephen speilberg) Oh and less selfishly: the fact that (mostly in the 'good' ol' US of A) we even had to participate in a school walkout. I don't mean stuff like my teacher made me, I mean the fact that the Parkland Shooting even happened. I'm going to avoid political views to avoid a flamewar, but really...

Brainlord’s Petition to Change the EULA
Kernel Kraken replied to Brainlord Mesomorph's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Wanna see how to start a flamewar and totally detail the thread at hand? KSP is spyware. The NRA brainwashed y'all and they're gonna steal your children. THE RAPTURE IS HERE! REPENT Add 2 teaspoons of salt and let boil for 3 days. Ninja'd... You already started the flamewar with that spyware thing.- 180 replies

Brainlord’s Petition to Change the EULA
Kernel Kraken replied to Brainlord Mesomorph's topic in KSP1 Discussion
They will ignore that backlash, we already know they do. (GTA Modding fiasco) and I don't think they'll follow in EA's path in listening to mob mentality. I just feel better thinking something out and presenting a calm argument. For some reason I think debating a point is relaxing.- 180 replies

Brainlord’s Petition to Change the EULA
Kernel Kraken replied to Brainlord Mesomorph's topic in KSP1 Discussion
This is the point of the thread people who are protesting this protest. T2 has a gun, it's the Squad KSP1.4. it's an effective model, with a relatively high stopping power. T2 has the gun. We know that. They just asked us our permission to shoot us with it, and if we decline, we cannot access the forums, wiki, or our copy of KSP. This is why I have not updated. I want to play the game and post on the forums and learn about the game on the wiki without the possibility of T2 updating their KSP gun and shooting me. I agreed to the EULA, I was too stupid to read it and I wouldn't have been able to learn about the controversy without my forum account. This sucks, in my opinion. Stop saying that we are trying to hurt T2's sales and stop them from providing content and blah blah blah. We simply want T2 to clarify if they will shoot us or ask them to give up their permission to shoot us. -Kraken.- 180 replies

The only problem I really have with the new EULA is it illegalizes modding. Unless im reading it wrong. Wanna know how to start a flamewar? T2 is allowed to put spiders in the game. Boom, flamewar!

Brainlord’s Petition to Change the EULA
Kernel Kraken replied to Brainlord Mesomorph's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Have you, by chance, had any legal training? I feel like I'm well qualified. I watch judge Judy. (Deal with it glasses slide down). I feel like this is the most accurate interpretation of the EULA. If you have a different one, make a different thread. This is a thread about a petition, not about argueing over the validity of our arguments. If you think our arguments are invalid, then so be it. This is a place to sign a petition, so if you are not signing, ignore it. What the heck does it matter to you if we have a petition? The thing about slander? I have not seen any insults in this thread so far. You want slander? (Warning: I am triggered) first grader roast incoming: My dad can beat up your dad. There, now you have your slander. Now that argument is valid. Also: how, in the name of everything Scott Manley ever built, is us saying we want to change the EULA hurting T2's sales? I feel like this is just you throwing words at us. I also noticed I said to stop argueing and ignore it.. so... Oops.- 180 replies

If you don't like out arguments, you don't have to argue back. Mabye we want to believe what we want to believe. If we think it means this but you think it means that, WHATEVER! If you don't want to sign/ like the petition than just get out of the discussion.- 180 replies

Brainlord’s Petition to Change the EULA
Kernel Kraken replied to Brainlord Mesomorph's topic in KSP1 Discussion
We're not saying that that WILL, we are saying that the EULA is so broad to the point that it dosen't even specify where they're collecting the info from. Sure I might not be putting my bank account information in my Module Manager but given the EULA they're allowed to collect our info from anywhere, not just our KSP files. Also: have you even read the EULA? If not I'd suggest to stop suggesting a lawyer. You don't need a lawyer when it's so blantantly stated. Any common idjit can understand it.- 180 replies

Brainlord’s Petition to Change the EULA
Kernel Kraken replied to Brainlord Mesomorph's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Even more so they're not invested in the community, they just Control- C Control- V'd their other EULAs. I know I'm just feeding the flame, but from what I understand about computers, you cannot get our info from a game which is not connected to the internet without a software bug. Might just be me but I feel like that's the definition of spyware- or a Trojan horse. Hey look, here's a game about explosions and happy green guys! (Company is allowed to issue an update in which spyware- is included).- 180 replies

Given the backlash that Take Two is taking, (and given their response to other community protests) the more you struggle, the more they ignore you. But if they DO see this, in signing this petition like John Hancock. TheMadKraken2297- 180 replies

Obsessively checking the add-on development page to see if they've finally added a easy procedural wings mod. Play KSP (duh) Design merged- beam laser weaponry I may have designed a tank. Mabye. I can't build it though, I have no mechanical knowledge or space to build it. Design an antimatter bomb (done) Do arts. Play starmade Design ships for starmade Dream about building/ design an armored vehicle based off a ram truck. Really though, it would be so cool. I would use epoxy and Ceramic tiles on the outer layer, then inside of that a steel plate epoxied to rubber, with that epoxied to another steel plate to make NxRA Dream about building a very large cannon to arm the aforementioned armored truck Sleep.

112: be enraged that this number isn't a proper binary number, or at least a number that is compatible with PC Memory systems. This is now number 256. 257: Request 200,000 in negotiable Kerbal currency.
